There sand sharks thick if you put them back there be more. fish shops used sell them rock salmon there are old people that would be please with a bit of fish. Or hard up
Nice to see some fish Tom and we all no that chesil beach is like that sometimes expecting a cod or a nice ray but left scratching our heads and it looked cold. Very good to watch so well done to you. 👍
Fished jan 15th at ferry bridge really hard going. 5 rods out between 2 , whole squid&black pennels. Plus 2 hook scratching rigs out with rag tipped with squid . 5.hours and a bit later we had our first bite, ending up with 3 pout in total over 9 hours. But hey its still January 😂👍.
Well all I can say is that a slow day at Chesil looks better than a good one at many other venues and you sell it well my friend... C'mon the Westerly Winds 🐟🐟🐟
Lovely video again Tom I always enjoy your banter and humour. Happy new year I am hoping to get down your way in February for a spot of dangling!! All the best cheers Ian
Hi...a very enjoyable watch. Where did you get the bait tray...totally awesome! I'm off to Chesil next week can't wait to just get out there. How i get to same part as you are ...well that I don't know. Hope its not a long hike from parking? All part of the fun aye not knowing what to expect. Only been to Chesil once last year caught a conger ...yuk & slimy ! Was at the other end of beach... was like hiking up Mount Everest 😂 Anyhow, hope I don't get a Blank 🤷
The "mountain" of shingle at the Portland end is a killer!!! This video was at West Bexington, I walked west from the car park a bit. The bait tray is my favourite bit of kit! It's here: christchurchanglingcentre.co.uk/accessories/bait_stations/stonfo-bait-station-en/
Brill...Thank You for info looking forward to getting that bait tray & stand. If you try other end of Chesil... its a case of lets brace the 100 ft high huge pebble mountain with all my kit 😲
Not as much as I'd like. I love the rivers in the last few weeks of the season though. I did plan on doing a bit of chubing this winter, but the conditions have been mostly pants! I used to fish for the grayling on the Frome too, but haven't done that since pre covid times.
Ha ha, I'm sure you haven't mate. They're very rare. Yeah, I need to fish chesil more. I never seem to enjoy it there, but know the potential for a good session is there.
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 we are lucky to have so much on our doorstep! Chesil is just a right of passage as a fisherman. 80% off fish caught at Chesil are just haul and winch.. hope to see you get a 5lb + bass off the beach on your barbel rod!
If chesil disappoints there is always the sunsets, much more reliable! Have you changed your casting style in recent times? When punching it out you seem to use the pendulum style nowadays..
Yes, the sunsets are far more reliable than the fishing! lol I sometimes give it a bit of swing when I'm on shingle, using grip leads and don't have the room for a proper OTG. That and I'm getting lazy! lol
Nice session on a quiet West Bex! Another great video, I always enjoy them and appreciate your rig making demos, please keep them coming!
Thank you mate. Appreciate the positive feedback.

They all went back mate, don't worry 😉

That sounds like a tough session Steve! As you say, cold still January sessions are often very tough!
That timelapse was stunning!!
Unlike the fishing. 🤣🤣
Great video again mate 👍🏻
Thanks Ian.

It sure does produce a stunning sunset, I'll give it that!
Tom it's nice to see you fishing in day light as your past few vids are very much in the dark
Another great vid mate
Yes, I do love getting out in daylight. Work and family commitments usually reduce my sessions to evenings.
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 let's hope you can get a few more day sessions mate
10/10 for effort roll on the warmer days tom very enthusiastic video 👍👍
Thank you mate. I crave a bit of summer sun right now!
A nice, relaxing vid to watch Maestro 😊
Relaxing! That's your polite way of saying I didn't catch much! 🤣🤣

Another good video Tom keep em coming
Thanks John.
Cracking sunset too, Chesil to a tee 🤐🎣🐟
It was a real beauty!

Thanks Ian. I hope you find a few more fish than I did!
Nice vid mate great picture quality
Thanks mate. I think the sunset stole the show!
Great video I’m coming down from East Yorkshire for 5days to fish chesil really looking forward to it as I’ve only ever fished it once
Best of luck when you're down mate. I hope it's slightly more productive than this session!
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 I’m not coming down until the middle of March
Ah, good stuff. It'll be a different kettle of fish (🫢) by then.
Good effort as always tom,,, been a bit hit and miss for a few weeks all over, look forward to the next one
Yes, it's been a tough couple of weeks with these conditions! I look forward to next week, despite the storm, it should bring some fish in.
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 yes with any luck I'm popping out Tonight so 🤞🤞they show up around Poole💪💪🎣🎣
Good luck mate
Hi Tom, shame it was only dogs for you . Nice sunset n like you said you think it would go manic then . All the best from GRIMSBY
Hey bud. It was a lovely sunset, rescued an otherwise tough session!

Another great video. Do you do any coarse fishing over Winter Tom?
Not as much as I'd like. I love the rivers in the last few weeks of the season though. I did plan on doing a bit of chubing this winter, but the conditions have been mostly pants! I used to fish for the grayling on the Frome too, but haven't done that since pre covid times.
Nice one Tom, love Bexy, never caught a doggy there!! 🤥🤥 gonna make the effort and get down there a few more times this year!!

Hi Tom how are you fastening your top circle hook is it fixed with a knotless knot or similar or is it free running thanks really enjoying the vids!!
Hi mate. I just leave mine free running. Started doing that a few years ago and haven't looked back.
Crikey did you put the wrong satnav in your car 😂😂😂🐟🎣
🤣🤣 thought it was taking me a long time to get to Southbourne.
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 😂😂, you might have well stayed there 😂😂🐟🎣
You said it !! I don't get Chesil!
I keep trying, but I just don't see the attraction! Maybe that's because I'm so lucky to have such great fishing on my doorstep!
