That thin shower door can be upgraded to a tri-panel glass door that locks into place for traveling.
Wish they would make one you could use the bathroom and kitchen without using the slid out
Glad to see Grand design go away from Westlake tires. Pure junk. Nice call on the Goodyear.
I look forward to this series. Great call getting your wife’s input! It’s about family and everyone’s prospective.
Me too and I plan to bring her as much as possible!
Dude, you may be my fav reviewer. This was a very good review with the information that you need to see.
Glad it was helpful!
picking one up this weekend. cant wait!
Woohoo! Congrats!
Also looking forward to your new series, reminds me of bigtruckbigrv . Can’t wait to see more!
I follow him too, great info!
Things I also look for is rack and pinion slides and A one piece shower. Thanks for sharing and the review JB.
Yea those are good features for sure especially one piece showers which look so much nicer! Thanks for sharing Richard!
Totally like your presentation, JB; great info and present it like a real user, instead of just a sales person! I would definitly install the hide-a-bed, instead of the theater seat. I know, I know, the theater seating is what "everyone" wants, but, from my experience, it doesn't offer enough heat or massage (for my liking); a side-benefit, is you have sleeping space for 2 more people. Can't wait for the towing videos! Keep up the good work! Y'all Be Safe!
Thanks! Yea I like the idea of sleeping space too if we have family or friends come, it makes for a easier camping trip! Thanks for watching 👍🏾
I have lived in my 230 for over 2 years and the shower door has held up very well
Good to know!
Thank you for commenting about having to put the slide out to get to the bedroom & bathroom, that is a potential deal breaker for some!
Grand Design is a really nice rig. We looked at quite a few of them, they are well built.
They really are! I’m looking forward to doing more walkthroughs!
@Dice Doctor we ended up getting the Coachmen, and so far we like it.
Great review. I wish reviewers would start showing trailers with the slides in and incorporating what can be gotten to with the slides in. I.e. bathroom, fridge, could you eat at a rest stop, sleep, restroom ect....
Thanks! I would close slides but would rather have someone that works there do it. I will continue to show where the slides can become an issue as I do reviews! Thanks for watching 👍🏾
Did I not see Goodyear endurance tires?
You mention that you are going to compare 2 trucks for towing, but the video ended after touring the rv. Is there another version of the video? I am very interested in the truck towing comparisons.
It’s not towing but showing the numbers to help people stay within the limits and buy the correct truck.

Ahh, thank you for the clarification. We have Ford F150 3.5 EcoBoost w/max tow package (approx 12000#, 1800# payload) & want trying to find anyone who has tested this combo w/ this particular fifth wheel and what their experience was.
Tracie Sucharski my humble opinion is you may need to consider a 3/4 ton gas because payload could get exceeded. Truck has enough power but biggest issue is payload.
Tracie Sucharski thanks for the info Tracie. I’m looking at the F-150 with 3.5 eco boost. Tow weight 12,000 but the payload is almost 3000. This makes the F-150 one of the only true fifth wheel haulers from what I’m learning. The payload is usually the weak point in half tons from what I’ve seen.
@@winnguyen443 Wow, did I read this correctly, payload of 3000#!? Our F150 w/eco boost, max toe only has payload of 1800#.
If anyone wants extra lights go to harbor freight for about 2 to 4 bucks look for the led light switch peel and stick anywhere super bright and if you get some li ion rechargeable batteries by ebl your good to go for years now I don’t camp or make money from any of my suggestions I’m just a homeowner and a trucker well in that case I do camp but just throwing a suggestion out there I have reviewed e b l brand batts I use them at home and in the big rig they’re a game changer the portable light switch is a good thing for anywhere you want led light without the wiring hassle
Nice fifth wheel everybody going white cooler in the summer
It is, and you are correct because my model of Keystone Cougar is now in white for 2020!
NICE unit; GOOD features---those pocket doors save SO MUCH space; THIS, alone, is a STELLAR idea; other manufacturers need to copy this idea---GOOD review; great unit!! Thanks for the review--- 😃🙃👣
Anything to make the living experience better is always welcomed and pocket doors really help, Thanks for watching!
The mount on the pass thru is a pet mount
Good review. We have a Rockwood 8244ws, similar but just a little lighter. My only comment is that why do the manufacturers have the inside steps on the slide side. Cannot get to bed or bathroom when slide is in. That was a sell feature of our unit. Slide does not have to be out to acces at rest areas etc.
Thanks! Sometimes the manufactures will offer other floor plans that will allow for access 👍🏾
2:20. It's for attaching a dog run/leash.
Thanks for sharing this👍🏾
Quite an interesting alternative for those, like my wife and l, who are seeking smaller quality-built 5th wheel models.
My sinks bigger! Congrats on the recent sale. Got a private lake front estate you can stay in this winter! Just need to figure out how to deal with the polar blast we've been getting this winter.
And nicer! Thanks and I wish I could work remotely because we would take the offer! I’m looking forward to the winter living and I hope it’s not too bad 🥶! See you soon
Same floorplan as our Jayco Eagle HT 26.5 RLDS.
i made a mistake it only has 1 slide, ours has two
Is the other slide in the bed?
I like the idea of a smaller 5th wheel for more location options. Two things always are lacking in the shorter rigs. Fridge size and counter space. We are always running out of counter space and the larger fridge in our 368 was a huge selling point. Way easier to pack food for a family for a week.
Counter space is huge for us and the fridge is pretty large in the 368 but lacking counter space. Hoping to check out the new Cougar fifth wheel when I get the chance, Thanks for sharing!
JB Reviews - Yeah. The counter space in the 368 is definitely lacking. That and the stupid way the bathroom door pivots are the two things I really don’t like about it. I wish it had the entrance to the bunk room from the hallway and then the storage and counter on the wall where the door is now. But, overall it’s a great layout and has been a good RV for us. We are heading out for a Thanksgiving trip in 2 weeks and I can’t wait to get out camping again.
Eric Rhodes you sound like us! We do love the RV but probably would had bought the Montana HighCountry mid bunk if I purchased a 1 ton the first time around. Hope you enjoy the trip and be safe! Be sure you’re furnace is clean and working properly because we found out the hard way we first used it in the winter!
JB Reviews - I couldn’t find a High Country near us to see in person. I think we would have seriously considered it if my wife could have seen it. But, it was also more money and would have required me to get a Class A non-commercial license here in California since the GVWR is over 15k. The 368 will work great for us until I convince her to upgrade to a Toy Hauler. Of course, that will mean a dually too. 😁
Eric Rhodes we were able to get the Montana HC within $9k of our Cougar but that $9K was out of our range which I forgot to mention! I would love a TH too but man that’s $80-$100k swing lmao and like you said dually territory! I’m planning to do a review on my favorite Floorplan TH assuming they don’t sell it by the time I get back, Thanks for sharing!
Good review! I think that unit is within that infamous "half ton towable" category, or maybe just over that.
We will find out soon!
Good video brah, Is dat da camper for my dually next year we were looking at?
No you gotta get the toy hauler bro!
,
Water heater, not hot water heater. You dont heat hot water lol. Sorry I'm a plumber and that just really drives me nuts
Lol! Yea i get accustomed to saying certain things kind of like when I say Gross Carrying Weight 😂!
@@JB_WhoWork 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for a great video.
Glad it was helpful!
Do a small 5th wheel toyhauler. :)
I will check in my area for one!
@@JB_WhoWork That be awesome because I'd rather you spend the money than me. Ha
Toby Bridges 😂😂😂
@@JB_WhoWork You running air bags?
Toby Bridges nope
Can’t access bathroom or bedroom with the slide in. Deal breaker for me.
I agree! If you’re traveling and prefer to use your facilities, pushing a slid out to do so is annoying...
