Its beautiful, very atmospheric clouds.
Caught a few lovely sunrises up there particularly in winter.
Our first ever serious winter camp was up there a number of years back, and a snowstorm erupted at 5am,back in the day wen we didn't have quality sleeping bags, certainly learnt a few lessons after that camp, but never put us off going back.

Its a great wee hill Mark, perfect for so many things and relatively accessible for me from my Perthshire base :) I reckon I will be up it a few times over the coming winter for sure :)

Really great camping spot! I particularly enjoyed the “making coffee ASMR”. Now that you’ve finally stumbled upon this camping spot, you need to photograph it in all four seasons. That would be lovely. Cheers and ATB!
Hi Erin, I do love my wee caffeine shots in the morning!!lol Think I have been up here in nearly all conditions (not with the tent though). It really is an accessible peak for me and I can drive there in about 35-40mins , a nice wee leg stretch most of the time and no doubt I be back up here in a few months again :)

Moody rainy clouds, and then those layers and an inversion at sunrise... 😍👌It doesn't matter how many times one goes up the same hill (I have my regulars too here in the Lakes 😀), every time is different. Thank you for another great video.

Indeed - tbh I suspect most (including me) only see a very small part of the hill - so nice to sometimes explore the mountain on different ways up etc etc :) you comment is definetely correct :)

I guess it depends on how heavy the rain is

@@ScotlandsMountains Iceland.. trying to talk Mrs B into letting me return to bikepack.. what a place. What a landscape... We had a few cancellations due to the problems over there and we hope all turns out ok for the islanders but... Hopefully another reason to return.. oh... and the Aurora... 😍
I was planning a hike up Ben Vrackie earlier this month with a pal but ended up doing the Cairnwell 3 mostly to gain a few more munros to the list. That was an excellent video as normal Murray, thanks again 👍

@@ScotlandsMountains yes I agree, mostly think most hikers don't appreciate it mainly due to the high starting point of 650m but it's definitely a good hike for those starting out or those who don't have daylight hours on their side! I'm heading up to do a relatively quick one this Sunday Mullach Clach a Bhlair to keep the legs working.
This was mt favourite pitch actually maybe my 6th summit camp on my own. Love it there. You took the exact same spot I took too hahhha brill Video Murray. Enjoyed it

Great as always Murray! I think a lot of the time we forget about what’s on our doorstep or places we are more familiar with! Although you didn’t use for this trip can I ask what is your set up you use for the fire like in Luibeilt video as heading to lost valley end of month and think be ideal! Cheers Kieran
Hi Keiren - it’s a wee stove (Lixida- from Amazon) and I use fire logs (weigh a ton but burn easily and fit in the stove so no burning on the ground :) - good luck and have fun on your trip 👍

Just got a question for you, thought you would be the best man to ask. I am looking to get a 4 season rated tent and sleeping bag. Just wondering what it is that you use, just looking for some ideas. Used a 3 season in winter before with some silk linings to add some heat and that has done the trick but looking to upgrade to that next step.

Hi Robbie - I can also agree that the liner is a good idea - I use an old Rab Ascent 900 in the winter - it’s old and a bit bulky but really depends how much you want to spend - I would also suggest a good sleeping mat as being equally if not more important to keep you warm from the cold ground ! In terms of tents I can’t really comment as I don’t tend to (read never ) change from my Scarp1 - I tend to find something that works and stick with it 😂 I can say it is (the scarp1) a great tent and my latest version is from around 2017 and does the job just fine :) good luck and happy camping :) 👍👍
