Abigail Garcia has been working at Jeep for 4 years. She says she has to maintain a second job due to relatively low pay and unpredictable hours at the plant.

At one assembly plant in MI I worked in 2022 instead of hiring additional TPT workers they let some of the temps VOLUNTARILY work 90-100+ hours per week. YES PER WEEK!!!

Please jobs elsewhere are not the big 3 … in healthcare or profit sharing… I was a temp for 3 1/2 years … if you’re not in this situation please hold the negative comments especially if you don’t have knowledge of what’s really goin on its make you look very ignorant on the topic
So you do admit that even with what the big 3 are paying, you are getting better than market wages compared to what ever else may be available. So what's the problem??!!! You folks want to compare your income to the CEOs and yet, you can't do complex math so what's there to complain about? Besides, all these demands stilll does not address the root cause of the hyper inflation that is eating everyone alive! Did you know potato head decimated the fossil fuel industry on day one in office caused this disaster for ALL of us??!!! How does it feel now? Still going to vote Democratic in 2024? If you continue this kind of stupidity, I pray the big 3 move all manufacturing out of the country and all you sandbaggers will be out on the streets looking for fast food jobs! And those jobs are being replaced by automation so good luck with that plan!!!

They flaunt billions in profits, but certain companies won’t give temps one penny in profit sharing. I knew 50+ jobs on assembly line to fill in for vacations/leaves & still never got ONE PENNY in any type of Christmas, Quality, or Profit sharing bonus for 2 years.
How is a temp even on strike?
The system is rigged. The company is allowed to hire Temps and keep them Temps forever. This is one of things the union is demanding to be changed.
They are still part of the union. The contract with GM after 30 days you become a UAW member however the question is how is she a temp after 4 1/2 years. (Its a rhetorical question.... its cause the companies abuse "temps"

If you exceed a certain number of hours in a single week, the company should be required to move you to FT with benefits. Maybe that would put a stop to the abuse in the number of hours a PARTtime person works. The more I hear about the Big 3, the harder I want to fight!

Wait - homegirl here is a part time employee at the Stellantis plant that makes Jeeps....she's only been there for 4-1/2 years so she couldn't have been the one who allowed a foreign object to be embedded into the paint on my Jeep's passenger door!!! My Jeep is 7 years old that I ordered from the factory! The paint was still wet and this foreign object was blown on to the paint and was embedded into the paint and remained there until I removed it!!! Such high quality work and QC didn't even catch it!!!
The union has no trouble exploiting an underclass of unequal coworkers who work with no benefits.

That's not usually the case. My fiancé was a TPT at Ford for 3 years before being hired on full time. My godfather is a Ukrainian (former Soviet) acrobat and I'm not sure which of two of them is the hardest worker or complains the least.
She's describing legitimate problems. Older workers have voted for worse and worse contracts, higher ups are corrupt, the unions have been just as bad for going along with their nonsense.
I can't speak for Jeep, but even Henry Ford wanted his workers to be able to afford cars that they built (still a big purchase, but they could afford to do it). It's not having a bad attitude about the company you work for, it's that you have awful people in charge of companies that are "too big to fail."

I was a TPT for 3yrs and not able to receive profit sharing and other bonuses; and my paycheck says Ford. This is NOT right. Deuteronomy 30:3-13 GOD will restore everything you lost. 🙏🏻
U wasted so much time. You should obtain a Class A CDL and drive a truck local home everyday as a LTL driver. Stop wasting your time at these plants people.
