    No issues with my 2020 Willys except the power mirrors on the driver side quit working. I put a MetalCloak 2.5 gamechanger lift and man what a difference on the ride. It’s not nearly as harsh. I would highly recommend. Glad to hear you’re still happy with it.

    Such nice music on the intro! I too have taken a chance on a Jeep (JL Sport) after years of reliable Japanese vehicles and premium German sedans. I have heated nothing, electric nothing - wind up windows. And I couldn’t be happier because the vehicle is full of genuine personality and freedom potential. I just roll along with a big smile on my face. Glad you are enjoying your Jeep life!

    I also have a 2020 Willy's Wrangler 4 dr. Daily driver - have driven from So Cal to Salt Lake and SoCal to Seattle and back. Only complaint is road noise on long trips with the Firestone's, Otherwise, tracks straight - Off road in snow and mud - moderate difficulty was a breeze - no issues and the Jeep is a beast

    I really like the black grill on the Willys and normally i would say a person would be nuts to swap it out for some other grill. I mean the black grill is part of the Willys style .
    But i must say, that Arizona grill looks fantastic on the willys and gives it that visual ''pop'' that makes your Jeep stand out and be noticed from all the other Jeeps.

    Cool to see you still doing these vids. I sold my Jeep, waiting on the first of 2 Broncos. The first will be a plain jane 4 door Big Bend, it should be here in a week or so. I'll drive it around until I get my Badlands sometime in the Spring. It was weird watching my Jeep drive away after 10 years of owning it.

      You'll regret your decision. You either didn't do your homework or you just had a case of the Wants"" ...!!! Start comparing the underneath items on your Bronco vs Jeep Wrangler and you'll catch on pretty fast. The sway and Tyre rods are the size of chopsticks. And they are hell to replace as well. Which =more labor costs as well as break downs. And for some odd reason rock climbing and off trail voids your warranty. Isn't that odd. There are more downfalls as well. Like as of now they are breaking down a lot. New model anything, usually takes about 5 years to get the kinks out. The Bronco build is like they wanted a monster truck look, without the parts to do it. The little ones are even worse, and no storage space or room. Ford definitely got the look on the Big Bend, but it isn't anything compared to a Wrangler. Peace.

    • @EZapar
      @EZapar 8 месяцев назад

      @@thebigfellar7178 Well. I absolutely don't regret my decision. I traded in the Big Bend and got myself a 2 door Wildtrak. It's got the Hoss 3.0, meaning the same steering rack as the Braptor. After almost a year behind the wheel, I love it. No regrets getting rid of the TJ Rubicon I owned for almost 10 years. My Bronco gives up a little clearance and a little travel. But it has double the power and lower gears. I've taken it off road several times and it performs very well.

      @@EZaparI'm one of those "nuts" who believe in time tested reliabil8ity. I carry a buck 110 knife with finger grooves, a single shot stevens 301 12 ga. shotgun, a Ruger Super Blackhawk 44 mag. and so on. Time tested reliability. Jeeps have been my brand and many others I know. Had a Chev blazer loved it. went back to the wrangler though. Got a Grand Cherokee, went back to wrangler. And ever since it's always been wranglers. They are pricey toys. But not if you stay only with them. My brand-new unlimited sport with turbo diesel and rear differentials is the shytes. I'm not a rock crawler, just a weekend warrior. To each their own is and will always be my motto. But no matter where I go , you never see a jeep needing assistance. It always seems to be another brand. Broncos do not seem to be doing well in my states of fun Va. and W. Va. they definitely are having problems off the jump. Electrical issues abound. we saw #2 pulled off trail and both were electrical. And as you well know must week-end warriors are not certified mechanics ...!!! I can't even do electrical at my house lol. New brands always have kinks. And when you're 10 miles into the mountains, that ain't good...!!! People talk about jeep, but I've never had issues with any of mine. But I also get an #8-year bumper to bumper warranty on it. I always do. Never use it though. But I always get it. Awesome Willy’s wheeler man! I also own a Willy’s wheeler! Mine is a 2015 Baja yellow 2 doors that I bought brand new, I guess I’ve been lucky so far! The only thing I’ve had done to it so far! Is routine maintenance and new tires, also brakes. I bought it new in Illinois, but moved to Tucson Arizona a few years ago, and I love it here. I can’t wait to hit some of them trails here. I guess I’ve been babying mine a little too much!👋😂because it’s still looks brand new! I’m not disappointed I bought one! I love it! That I actually ended up purchasing another one, a Sahara edition, a 4 doors version. About gas mileage! Not too terrible, I average about 18-20mpg. I always maintain the service from the dealer. You’ll gonna enjoy yours I believe! But I understand not everyone is lucky. Some have different opinions about theirs! And others like me, will praise them. Good luck with yours! I am batteling my stomach pains because of bacteria from my Keurig coffee machine. I cannot get the antibiotic Cipro, it is backordered and no CVS or Rite Aid in 20 mile radius has it. It is under a back order and no one has it and I just have to wait. I feel like I am in a 3rd world country. I could go to an urban area around any of the cities and buy Heroin, Cocaine, or Meth but not a legal antibiotic that I need to kill the bacteria in my stomach. I have the 2021 Willys gladiator. I fixed the vague steering at highway speed by installing the steer smarts sector shaft brace, it was like night at day. If you look at the mounting points for the steering gear box while someone is turning the steering wheel you can see deflection on the frame mounting points, this is what causing the steering issue at highway speed at least for me. The frame is to thin in this area and needs more reinforcement. Anyhow I went from thinking about the steering all the time at speed to not thinking about it at all after in installed the bracket. That issue your having with the radio is not normal.

I also like the simplicity of a V6 over a turbo and although you don’t have to use premium I think it is recommended. The 3.6 has plenty of power and works well with the 8 speed transmission. The big difference is that the 2.0 turbo is direct injected, where the waste oil gets dumped back into the intake and carbons it up. The 3.6 is multi--port injection and the intake gets cleaned with gas--no carbon build up. Plus, you can never get a manual tranny with the 2.0 turbo.

    I have a 2021 Rubicon and the only thing that I have had go wrong was the little arm that controls the tailgate came out and I cannot seem to get it back in, so right now when I open the tailgate, it has no stops, it either opens all the way or closes all the way depending on the incline of where the Jeep is parked. It is annoying and I have almost had the tailgate swing all the way open in a parking lot and hit another car, but luckily I grabbed it before it hit, but I now have to hold it when I open the tailgate, so I need to get that fixed when I take it in.
    I do not think that it was defective, it happened on a trip where my girlfriend and I were on some pretty rough and bouncy trails, and we had a few bags in the back, so it is possible that something was hitting the little arm and bent it a bit.
    Other than that, I have had no problems. I rotate my tires and change the oil every 5,000 miles, I try to keep it clean, and I am not too rough with it. And I have also been averaging a little over 20 or so miles per gallon, and that is mostly highway driving.

    The only issue I've had so far on my 2021 Jeep JT is the rear/back-up cam: The image became somewhat blurry (lower-resolution than it was at first) after 3 months or so -- they said there was some condensation in it, but I couldn't see it myself. Whatever, the dealer replaced with with a new one and it's been nice & clear since. The FRONT cam (Trail Cam) is still sharp.
    Steering was great from the beginning and still is. And very smooth-riding on the freeway during a recent road-trip (CO to TX and back), seat very comfortable as well.
    HOWEVER, I've had BIG issues when I got my first "servicing" done (term used loosely as it was DEstructive, not CONstructive, if you will): The Service Monkey screwed up pretty much everything doing the oil/filter change & tire-rotation. Consequently, I am considering going back to doing that routine-maintenance myself (even though it's more difficult nowadays due to some mobility issues)...but it's the ONLY way I can be SURE it's done right, which would eliminate stressing over what they did or did not do at the dealership.

      The only thing I miss having on my Willys is keyless entry/touch to lock or unlock. It has push button start and remote start, but not keyless entry. To be honest I am not even sure that is an option. The tow package was a must for me and I recommend it. You might consider the sound deadening package for the hard top from the factory to save yourself form having to install it yourself. The stock stereo is pretty good, but if I had the chance I probably would have added the subwoofer and amp from Jeep as well just for the simplicity of it. Some other possible additions would be steel bumpers from and rear, but they are fairly pricey and there are countless options available aftermarket. Best of luck with your Jeep! Hope you have a lot of fun with it.

    Great review! I've also had a Crosstrek since 2018 (on my 2nd one now) and am at the point where I need more space. Bronco is my first choice but with the production delays, I'm looking at a Wrangler or Gladiator as my next vehicle (also Willy's edition). Does it get exhausting driving on the highway with how much it wanders? I do long-distance road trips and that's my only concern, test driving in 2 weeks.

Better than I expected actually. It is definitely more work than other cars, but not crazy. I am a current rental Mazda sedan owner and planning to buy Jeep Wrangler Willys model next year. I would like to know two things from you-
    1. Can I use this vehicle for daily use? Do you feel annoying sometimes to take this big car for a a short trip such as grocery shopping or even go to wallmart?
    2. Is the fuel efficiency is as same as what company claims?

    • @AZdroptop
      @AZdroptop  2 года назад

      Hi there, I have no issues at all using the Jeep for daily use. In fact, I find it do be a nice daily driver. Great visibility, comfortable, decent sound, easy to reach controls etc. MPG has actually surprised me...generally around town I am at 20 to 22 and highway MPG depends on speed and grade, but 23 mpg is pretty easy to get if you keep it 65 to 75 mph
      The only real issue the Jeep has is steering feel and highway driving. It wanders a bit so you have to make micro corrections more than you would in a standard car. It isn't horrible, but solid axels are not the best for on road handling. :) That being said I have done a couple of 5 hours trips in the Jeep and it was fine. Better than I thought it would be.

      Sorry for my slow reply...traveling currently. When you are cruising on the freeway the jeep tends to move around more than a normal car would so you have to make more micro corrections while at speed. I don't have any wobble or anything crazy, but it is definitely different that a normal car. It is one thing the Bronco has over the Jeep since it has indent-ent front suspension vs a solid axle like the Jeep.

    Uconnect in my experience is garbage. I have a ram as well as a new 4Xe and both I have issues with from the start. One of the things I can't stand is there's interference with both. You notice this when playing music, even through a wired connection you'll get interference in the speakers, almost like a popping/static noise and it's annoying as hell. You can scroll on the screen with your finger and get that static anytime your finger moves, and it's very pronounced when music is playing. Like I said two different vehicles, same uconnect platform, same problem.

    As someone who has a 2021 Subaru Forester Sport, with you coming from a Crosstrek. I have been curious about a Jeep. I have heard all the horror stories and whatnot of owning a jeep. The Forester and 4Door wrangler are comparable in size. For the money would you rather have your Willys or put a 2” lift and A/T tires on a Forester to achieve the same or similar ground clearance or go for the Jeep and why?

    • @AZdroptop
      @AZdroptop  2 года назад +1

      Hi Austin, you should have heard the comments when I bought the Jeep. :) Many said it would be horrible and have a ton of problems. So far the only issues I have had are the sun visors needing to be replaced. Everything else has been pretty solid so far. Fingers crossed. My 18 Crosstrek had many recalls and TSB's, but when you by the first year of a model change it is kind of expected.
      I switched from the Crosstrek to the Jeep because I wanted to be able to go further off road with out having to worry about issues. The Crosstrek was pretty capable with the mods I did, but AWD isn't 4WD and Subaru's will never articulate like a Jeep can. I never did a lift on my Crosstrek and even if I had there still would have been traction issues even with Xmode.
      I love Subarus and they are great cars, very capable for dirt roads and some rough stuff if you have tires and wheels, but they will always have limits. I'm not into rock crawling and will probably never use the Jeep to its full potential, but I will have piece of mind to do all of the stuff I want. Surprisingly, it is easy to live with on road as well with all the creature comforts I could ask for. Biggest downside to the Jeep compared to the Crosstrek would be MPG and ease to drive on the freeway.
      Compared to a Forester with a lift and tires I would still take the Jeep mostly for piece of mind when off roading, 4WD vs AWD, articulation and purpose built for going off road. It would come down to being able to off road easily with out having to worry about breaking something or not having traction when I need it. Hope that helps.
