Good 2nd video, interesting to see what you get in a 'Bundle'. I've had 3 locomotives and 10 coaches so far and all perfect out of the box. I think that those of us who get a faulty item are in an unlucky minority, and Hornby do seem to sort out problems quite quickly. Trouble is that nobody shouts out "Mine was good!" you only seem to hear from people if there was a problem 🙄😹, and that somewhat scews the public perception of the TT120. I look forward to seeing your 3rd video, hopefully with DCC sound set up..
Thanks for the video. I feel the train bundles are a little pricey - great if that’s what you want. I bought the Scotsman set and I’m very pleased with it. It was great value as it has the 15% discount and hobby points if you signed up to be a club member. I doubt the 15% will last as you can see some products are now being excluded. It was clearly a way to attract customers to get things going. I bought the sound card and put it into the Blink Bonnie, which was easy and I’m impressed with it. I have on order the Easterner Digital Set as it is already sound fitted. With the discounts a great price as the sound card does not have to be purchased separately. I will not use the track that comes with it, nor purchase additional track packs as I find Peco to be lot better. They have produced unifrog points which are a lot better than the insulfrog supplied with the set, although more expensive, but I think worth it. The track issue, albeit it same scale, it is difficult to fit the fish plates as the Hornby track is slightly different. Making a layout requires excellent track and point work, money invested here will pay great dividends as it is an expensive hobby, which can be ruined by poor track work. I note you have two Class 08’s. As they have short wheel bases they are likely to stall over insulfrog points, as they are not fitted with fly wheels and don’t have the space for a power bank. Unifrogs avoid this as they don’t have that dead area in the middle of the point, thus allowing for smoother running. Furthermore, I have found the HM7000 excellent, running off my iPad and iPhone. The use of Bluetooth is a clearer idea. I already had a Hornby power pack but needed to purchase the dongle, so if anyone was already using their Select or Elite then this should do although I don’t use Hornby’s DDC controllers as I feel there are a lot better makes out there. I am aware of some reporting locomotives burning out which is why I am only using the Hornby power supply although their DDC controllers work well. I find the HM7000 to be a lot better.
My Blink Bonny loco is being sent back for the third time. It has sound but no movement one day and works perfectly the next day. I just got the Easterner digital sound set which had sound for about four seconds and never again. Both sets were faulty within an hour of opening and took more that three weeks to return. I have either been very unlucky or Hornby's quality control has gone to the dogs.

Yes I agree with what your saying and until now my experience with hornby. However there good with returns and they refund the expense of postage etc.

Sorry to hear of your experience. I am sure its just a case of being unlucky like mine with the Scotsman.
