    Hey I just came from Cam's interview video of yall & I loved it. I'm also considering moving to either Merida or Playa Del carmen, so ready to get out the U.S B.S lol. By the way your home so nice the backyard looks like a oasis. Have you all went to the beach or cenotes yet?

      Hi thanks for coming by, I enjoy connecting with new people looking to live life! The backyard definitely gives oasis feels! I’m a post a house tour probably today or tomorrow! Thanks. We haven’t been to cenotes here in the Yucatán but have in Tulum (it was underground) it was amazing but not for the claustrophobic bcz my sister had to leave especially once we swam deeper into the cave it was cramped and very little lighting so idk what we weee swimming with 😂. I have never been to PDC but have looked at pricing and find it may be a lil more higher bcz it’s a more touristy. When are you planning to move this way, either way the move is worth the shot and will be less than the U.S. Where are you coming from? Best of life to you. Do it as soon as you can! Best decision we ever made. Again thanks for stopping by, don’t be a stranger! ☮️Meeme

      We enjoy your honest content and the fact you also show the struggles of moving, not only yourself, but your family!! Good for you and don’t listen to the negativity in your family. Stay focused. We get the same negativity from friends and family

    I'm sorry your family and friends aren't more supportive. Welcome to México my husband and I love it here. We're living south of CDMX, not the YK, though, so things are different, but just stay patient. You'll get used to things here.

      Thank you so much for the encouraging words, it means a lot! I’m learning to not take it as they don’t love me, they just aren’t comfortable with my choices bcz it’s not theirs. Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate the company.🙃

    Hello! Great info and cute segment with your daughter. Questions: 1. Did you say there is a gas shortage in Merida? Is it still going on and does that mean the price of gas is up and the availability is down? 2: So is your phone an unlocked phone? How are you getting telcel service? What is the maximum amount of pesos a person can get out per day? Are you guys retired military or was someone in the military?

    • @Ourinfectioustraveldiseases
      @Ourinfectioustraveldiseases  Месяц назад

      1) YES but we have gas now, per my research this was what I learned when waiting for the 10 days to get gas (Yes, Mérida is currently experiencing a fuel shortage due to ongoing maintenance issues at Pemex plants in Chiapas and Veracruz. This has reduced the availability of LP gas in Mérida and the southeastern region of Mexico to about 60% of capacity. Efforts to reroute supply from other facilities have been delayed due to logistical challenges and hurricane-related damages at key distribution points). I am not sure how pricing has been impacted bcz our landlord covered the cost but to fill our tank it was equivalent to $150.00 USD and it’s on top of our house so I have no idea what it looks like 🤭2.) Our phone we use on Telcel is unlocked! To setup service you have to go to a retail store initially to get the sim and pay activation, once you do that you can top of service on the DIDI app which is what I do now bcz we made the mistake of burning thru our plan fast bcz of RUclips smh. Most of the ATMs I’ve went to have a maximum peso (daily) of 7k-9900k! My bank limits us to 8k/day. And yes my husband is a disabled veteran!
