Too bad that was the best James Bond model they could've got access to since he hasn't had a new game in over a decade. Awesome job sinking the franchise Activision!
Just in case you didn't go through the analysis again, they did mention Bond could dodge gunfire, you were just talking over it when they brought it up. Also, since you mentioned that you like more grounded/realistic action movies like Ip Man, I'd recommend you give "The Raid" movies a watch, if you haven't already. I imagine you'd really like them.
This was one of my favorite battles just because of how creative it was. It was like a better Boba vs Predator imo I also loved your short summary of the Black Adam story
This was a great death battle to watch!!! I will say that I would've preferred to see James Bond vs Joanna Dark, based on the fact that Perfect Dark was released as the spiritual successor to Goldeneye 007. . . . Great reaction video, Ris!
I don't know if you've seen it yet, but Death Battle has announced another episode that's going to be in the new season - the Chosen Undead from Dark Souls vs. the Last Dragonborn from Skyrim.
I consider this episode to be a modern Solid Snake vs Sam Fisher. Obviously not anywhere as good, but it'd be really unfair to compare this episode to that masterpiece. In fact, this is my third favorite episode of the season, only beaten out by Excalibur vs Raiden and Omni Man vs Homelander. Also, I'm surprised you didn't talk about the story in the animation, especially considering how much you care about setups in Death Battles. I mean sure,it isn't the best setup we've ever had, that title easily goes to Omni Man vs Homelander imo, but if that episode didn't exist, this would be the best setup of the season, and maybe the whole show.
I didn't have complaints about the story but it also didn't exactly stand out to me, I suppose? Like it worked with Bond being sent after Wick, and then that's the end of the story.
@@Ris_Grestar well, yeah the actual reason for them fighting is pretty simple. What makes this one stand out are things like Q warning Bond at the start about Wick,Bond calling Wick Baba Yaga, and Wick asking what MI6 wants with him. It makes it feel like these two have always existed in the same world and are only just now encountering each other.
So the second John wick is about how he signed with blood that he owed someone no matter what was the job he had to do it. So he helped someone get a seat at the Table which is the high people who choose who dies and other stuff too. After getting his seat he decided to get John Wick killed since the person John killed was the sister of the person who wanted the seat. Sorry I forgot his name anyway John's new objective was to take the guy out after the bounty was put on his head. After finding "safty" at the hotel John ended up killing him there and then. Due to his actions John became excommunicado meaning there's no safety for him anywhere and the longer he's alive the more the bounty goes up which leads to John Wick 3. It's basically a survival movie where he's doing his absolute hardest to get through each obstacle while trying not to get killed by anyone. Eventually he makes it to his objective takes away something he cares deeply and ends up becoming the Tables assassin again until he goes against them and ends up fighting back until he can't anymore. Thus leading to soon to be John Wick 4. All 3 movies are great with the first being the best and 3rd followed behind but the 2nd movie wasn't as good. Anyway hope this helps and keep up the great content
I Actually really liked this ep as a James Bond fan, I used to watch all these goofy Spy movies with my Dad and we'd have so much fun 'Bond'ing and laughing along with it. It did seem pretty obvious Bond was gonna win, especially how they gave Bond so many impressive traits that Wick couldn't match leading them to just repeatedly go on and on about John Wick being unstoppable to kinda match it, but still they threw the due respect to Bond, I loved how they did the running gang of Boomstick working in the title of all like 30 of his movies into the analysis
Oh wow, there's a ton of stuff about Bond that I didn't know The animation for this one was super goofy haha Yes, Never Say Never is a Bond movie lol This was fun and dynamic!
I was really glad to see Bond win this one like if anything, my experience with the series came from that Goldeneye 007 game for the Nintendo 64 and my memories of playing that game with my siblings but yeah seeing James Bond win here was really good. Next time with Black Adam and Apocalypse, I am glad that one ended up happening last year and it was a DBX back in 2021, so this was more of a case of how the Death Battle version could compare to it's DBX counterpart so that's cool but yeah I hope you get to know more on the First Mutant once you watch the episode. Well, after Black Adam VS Apocalypse, there's one more for you to watch and well, I will talk about that one next week since there's a really good reason for it but until then, see ya for the battle between the evils of Ancient Egypt.
I think I may have been the only person rooting for Bond here lol. Love the dude, Casino Royale (Daniel Craig's version) is my favorite action film of all time.
Daniel Craig is not the best representation of Bond because he's definitely a different take. Classic Bond is kinda like if Bruce Wayne fought crime as Bruce Wayne. He's very suave and charming as much as he is deadly and skilled
I know they have a point when they mention Bond's gadgets would surprised Wick, but once one of them is used Wick wouldn't trust anything else that seems harmless on Bond
@@Ris_Grestar What makes you think those women did not consent? All they showed was him making out with women, I'm pretty sure they liked it and consented lmao.
This is a weird request, but if you wanna use The Rock as Black Adam in your thumbnail, then don't use an animated render for Apocalypse, Death Battle did that and their thumbnail look hideous. If you wanna use The Rock, use Oscar Issac's portrayal of Apocalypse, if you wanna use an animated version of Apocalypse, do an animated version for Black Adam. I’m pretty sure Death Battle made these models
@@sherminatoranalysis3429 Nah Bond's is definitely from 007 Legends. They aren't good enough to replicate Craig's face like that.
Really wish they made custom models, like with their Hulk model. The faces just don’t match really
well I mean there's going to be a new 007 game by ioi whenever that comes out
I love this thumbnail. You guys look so happy together

Was that directed by John Carpenter?
They did say that James Bond could Dodge bullets you were just talking when they said that.
They brought up James dodging bullets. Hell, they mentioned him dodging missiles too, you just talked over it.
Ahh, what a Shakespearean comedy this is.
