7:19 no no, you got confused. His Stand is invisible, but during that moment, they were talking about Jojo himself not being as powerful than his Stand.
Tho i think he could use his stand as a suit. I've seen it a lot with the stand covering parts of the body or just being like a suit for the body so if he just did that or didn't let him get close he coulda won.
Ris Grestar its also because it had problems on copyrights due to how Araki (the creator of jojo) loves west culture and names a lot of things after bands and songs or even artists, especially after part 3, with most abilities named after songs of that time: "bites the dust, Kiss, killer queen, Cream (with the user called: "vanilla ice"), Zeppelin(Led Zeppelin), Sex pistols, white snake, Dirty deeds done dirt cheep, soft & wet, man in the mirror and much *much* more. it contributes to the over all feel of the series but sadly thats why its been so hard for us west fans to see this massively cultural series thats a big influence on shonen manga/anime.
16:27 Joseph Joestar I believe lives in America, whenever he gets scared or angry he switches back to English (Engrish) to swear at his enemy... it’s a running gag 😂
Crash and Spyro are pretty much the Mario and Link of the old Playstation era. Crash was all about platforming and Spyro was more or less about adventure.
If you haven't watched or read Fist of the North Star, I think most people who have would tell you the same thing: It is one of the best manga about love to ever exist.
A stand is a physical embodiment of the person psychy, like there fighting spirit. Only few people have a stand and those who do ,none is the same. Every stand is very different in powers, appearance , and purpose ,and size.
Vanilla Ice would be the absolute strongest stand if he wasn't arrogant enough to pop out of his dimension....imo it was poorly done how he was beaten.
Even then how he died was complete bs. They had to make Dio NOT tell him he's a vampire and somehow not know. They had to make him attack without his stand after getting hit the first time. They had to make him die just before sunset. Lastly, they had to make him STILL charge Polnareff after he discovered his weakness from sunlight when he could've just hid in his pocket dimension until the sun fully set and continued to randomly sweep the area. The only thing that saved Polnareff was Iggy's stand and Iggy just died. Meaning there would be no other evasive tool saving him.
They git something wrong, stand users cant hurt stands, only stands can. Which is why stand users rarely do the fighting themselves. Beyond that, jotaro is just a normal teenage delinquent. He wouldn't be much use in a fight against a trained martial artist of kenshiro's calibur.
(Commenting before I start watching the video) I’ve seen a little of Fist of the North Star, so I knew that if Kenshiro could reach JoJo even once, he would win. The only question I had was whether Ken could do anything about Star Platinum; I wasn’t aware that he could straight up see fighting spirit, but once it was explained it made sense, as I’d seen the footage they used in their explanation.
kenshiro's story is mostly about people manipulating him into killing other people by passing around damzels in distress or people tracking him down and trying to kill him as he wanders the wastelands
Well, data for him and Dio was found in the game's data, but it was never finished. I assume they were planned to be in the game originally but were cut off because of time issues.
You called it, boy did you call it. You are getting really good at reading DB outcomes from there analysis. And I'm betting on Spyro, from what I know about Crash, one on one, he doesn't have as much abilities as Spyro dose (LoS series giving the Dragon control over Fire, Ice, Earth and Lightning for instance) as well as the fact that Spyro has been shown at a few points to actually use a brain, that Crash seems to have been scientifically be made without. Oh, and he's a Dragon, so he can fly, so there's that advantage. So Yeah, I think I am justified in thinking that between these two friendly rivals, Spyro will be the winner.
I only know the abilities Crash has shown in the NSane triology (specifying that in case there are differences between it and the original) and while he is much more impressive than he seems, what with spinning so fast he can hover, spin kicking boulders and drilling into the ground, I have seen Spyro compared to Aang and Twilight Sparkle, the former I understand more with your comment so if Spyro is actually comparable with someone like Aang, I can't see Crash doing much. If it wasn't for all the cartoon physics he'd likely have, I would enjoy seeing Crash fight the Tasmanian Devil from Looney Tunes though.
Fair enough, I suppose that cartoon Physics would give Crash an advantage. But even if Spyro's power isn't on par with Aang (which I don' think it is, though it is still rather impressive) I still think that the three things I listed in Spyro's favor before (compared to Crash's one thing, unless there is something else neither of us are aware about) give him a significant enough advantage over Crash to have him be declared the winner of the death battle. And Yeah Crash V Taz dose seem like it could get interesting.
They most likely will use composite spyro which is somewhat in spyro's favor. what I really hope for is that they understand sparks correctly because I see sparks as a way of protecting spyro from blows that will kill him and not a way protect him from puny hit.
If they do use a composite Spyro.... which I was assuming they would, then things like his Skylanders self and his LoS self should show that he can take a hit without spark's help...... not that they used that type of stuff anyway in there analysis, after all, I don't recall them mentioning Sonic's ring dependency in the Mario v Sonic fight.
Fist of the North Star Aka Hokuto No Ken is actually pretty good. There are very strong enemies he come across but yes he does wipe out the average goons.
His stand ia invisible and pretty busted, but Jotaro himself is only as strong as a "regular" giant buff man, so you can still hurt or kill him with things that can kill most humans. In jojo stands can be as broken as it gets, but for the most part their users are somewhat regular dudes, a good hit to the user can be enough to defeat them in battle.
In terms of the next battle, at present moment I see SPyro with more abilities but Crash is impressive as well. He can spin fast enough to keep himself hovering in the air which would likely require insane speed and he can also drill into the ground and burrow which would probably require a lot of strength and force. In his boss fight with Kaola Kong(?) he spin kicks boulders right back at him which also shows impressive strength, he can double jump and has a rocket launcher that shoots fruit which I believe can damage robots. This is all based on the Nsane Trilogy so I am not sure what else he has done in later games or if things were changed for the revamp as the opening of Crash 1 was. One thing I will say is I have seen Spyro, at least one continuity of him, be compared to Twilight Sparkle and/or Aang and so if they use that continuity or composite, which knowing SA, they lazily will most likely, then it sounds more likely that Spyro would win if he can truly compare to someone like Aang or Twilight who even without the power boost SA deemed to give her, still is really impressive,
Kenshiro was always powerful, but Fist of the North Star is not just about him being overpowered, but how he got some of that power. He didn't have the intangibility for instance at the start of the series. You're pitting post end Kenshiro up against anyone and they're likely to lose.
It was either this, or Kenshiro being turned into a red puddle as soon as the fight began, with a recap showing SP pummeling him into paste in stopped time.
I am waiting for yoyr next reaction man...i love both spyro and crash and its the first time i dont care who wins...those two characters kept me company when i was growing up...i love your reactions and good call on your last one!!!
The guy Jotaro was with is his grandfather, briefly mentioned in the video. And yes those are all clips from the show, so that "HORRY SHIIIITT!" and "SONOFABIIIICH!" are all in the show. You can see why they were used because they're hilarious.
You have now been right 2 more times than me. I understand why I was wrong about this one but Star platinum had so much going for him. Breaking giant diamond teeth seemed better than any of Kenshiro's durability feats but now I see that it was close, stands can only be hurt by other stands but I was worried that Kenshiro would get a lucky hit on Jotaro; and Star is way faster but now that I see everything Kenshiro had again I get why speed wasn't enough.
The thing is is that once there was a time stop Jotaro should have immediately one. Cause Kenshiro can only kill him by getting within his range. Star Platinum could defend against attacks from range, and also should have been able to stop Kenshiro from actually touching Jotaro, considering it is sentient enough to save Jotaro from a bullet at point blank range. All Jotaro/Star Platinum would need to do is attack a vital organ. Cause anyway even outside Star Platinums effective range im pretty sure it would be easy to destroy the heart or brain easily. Yes I know Jotaro could have done this many times in the anime but that is just for a more interesting fight. Once time stop is activated no one should be able to win against Jotaro.
0:19 Well, Jojo is technically also an older anime and manga due to Araki creating the idea back in the 80s, but calling it a newer anime is fair enough…the modern anime version JoJo is better anyway
Well that makes two losses for me this season since I had lost with Twilight Sparkle and Jotaro but guess you can't win em all but the next time with Crash and Spyro, I originally though that Crash is going to win, but after looking at Spyro, I now think that Spyro wins the next fight.
+Ris Greatar When you were deciding on who would win this death battle, you said you’re missing something. Ya kinda are. Star platinum was able to destroy 2,000,000 ton diamond teeth... but I still loved the battle
I loved this episode but I still don't see how Jotaro could lose while having the power to stop time. I admit I haven't seen the anime for part 4 but Time Freeze is a pretty game breaking power.
Ris Grestar Yeah, I had to look it up because when I was watching Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures I couldn’t help but think “Why does Jotoro sound like McCree?”. Matthew Mercer is epic!
Whenever it says that a character can survive the brunt of a building collapse, I downgrade it in my mind because Giovanni from Pokémon survived that and he's a regular guy (likely a very fit and strong man, provided how Meowth imagines him shirtless is accurate, but a regular human nonetheless).
I feel like Spyro can just do more than Crash because all Crash can do is spin into things and _maybe_ use a jetpack or a missile launcher, and Spyro's a flippin' dragon.
I mean, with his spinning he has done impressive things so I'd say he has impressive speed, strength and durability but besides the missile launcher, that shoots wumpa fruit mind you, he doesn't seem to have much to his advantage.
Jotaro would have won, He would 100% rely on Time Stop once he realised how strong he is. And the rat episode, that was to help teach Josuke. I honestly don’t think Jotaro would lose, atleast part 3 Jotaro
"Wait so he's not invisible." Ugh, the stand Star Platinum is invisible man. Jotaro himself is not. That is what they said. Anyways, overall I agree with the verdict but I still feel like they are ignoring Star Platinum's near light speed.
Oh, don't worry, part of Crash's DESIGN is to be stupid and obnoxious. Play that the right way (which they did), and it makes for a memorable mascot. Also, a LOT of Crash fans are also Spyro fans and vice versa, so we probably won't have much "fan-blind" reactions here. As far as who WILL win... almost definitely Spyro, since he outclasses Crash in both maneuverability and offense.
GabrilmanX Depending in Asgore speed compared to Ganon and Ganon soul resistance and Determination i fell like it could be a stomp. I if we take the logic Ganon can only be hurt by light based weapons then Asgore doesn't really have a chance but the matchup idea is very good
I think it's kinda pointless to compare ANY undertale character to another... Not only are the rules of power scaling in that game so unique it's hard to imagine how other universes compare, it's also really dma hard to figure out what the power scaling even is... It's not... Animated, I mean, it is, but it's not like any characters tend to show off the limits of their power against tangible things. Like... How strong IS Asriel Dreamurr? Or more importantly, how would you even figure that out? He's not really compared to the other characters so much in that regard so you can't even use the limited amount of times other characters have demonstrated their own power... We know he thought a kid and uh... Lost... He broke the fourth wall? Kinda? Does that count? How durable is the mercy button? Ah feck it... So yea, like is said, kinda pointless to even try.
13:55 incidentally, Hokuto Shinken has a equal... I don’t remember its name but that guy with the long hair used it against Ken before he put the Big Dipper pattern on Ken’s chest. Kenshiro isn’t the strongest in his world, he has to get stronger to save the girl. There are a lot of repeat animations though 😅
Jotaro may seem like a buff brawler, which he kind of is, but JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is all about basically playing a game of chess to the death, where you analyze your opponent's strengths and weaknesses and come up with a way to beat them. Jotaro's stand is very straight forward (It's strong and punches stuff, but has very small range. It later stops time.) but some people have stands that seem dumb but are ridiculous with how effectively they use their abilities. Jotaro is a strategist, arguably the 2nd best jojo in the series after his grandfather in the 2nd part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (Jotaro's is part 3) who could literally say what his enemies would say before they say them because he was so clever.
Ris Grestar: Ok he is Jesus, a very violent Jesus. Me: Not exactly, he's Jesus' violent brother. Here this is Jesus ruclips.net/video/5a2oMKrnslw/видео.html
The thing is... We actually don't know the specific nature of Stands. There is a Stand that can only be activated when the user dies (Notorious B.I.G) so that alone can kinda throw the "fighting spirit" thing out of the window. But I guess it's still okey to assume they are, only for this battle to be more "fair".
I don't care if I get flack for this but... Kenshiro seems like one touch man but unlike one punch man it doesn't appear to have other characters who matter and the main character seems to be god like from the get go and fails to create any actual tension. The main concerns a lot of people have when first hearing about one punch man, is literally what kenshiro is, older isn't always better.
Yeah, I will admit that it sounds too op to actually care about the series. I have been reading the OPM manga and while Saitama is unbeatable in his universe (I say this because I don't believe he's unstoppable in general), he still has some character, charm and personality to him and at least shows some amount of weakness though nothing that would actually make him lose like not being too bright or still needing oxygen. Not dissing on FotNS but if all it is is a guy who easily kills everyone in one or more hits with a stoic, cool attitude and has one facial expression the whole time, doesn't seem to entertaining. The fact that all this is achieved via martial arts training, and that somehow allows him to tap a sky scraper in half also has me rolling my eyes as that is a minor problem I have with Dragon Ball where martial arts training lets you blow up planets apparently though at least some characters are beyond human so its easier to swallow. Saitama himself is a lovable, interesting character with seemingly more facial expressions than Kenshiro and while no other character can compete with him, they still manage to be very interesting themselves. Throughout the manga, I find myself being intrigue by nearly every character that shows up and gets some page time to flesh them out, meanwhile I feel like I'd only maybe care about Kenshiro in his anime.
MysteriousTomJenkins Haha, now that you mention it, the description you gave about FOTNS sounds more like a parody than OPM and it's serious. I agree about the charm with OPM, saitama can lose stuff like getting owned at video games, it's also not just about saitama, the other heroes get loads of development and saitama also grows as a character in interacting with them.
Glitchy88 nah brother While he might seem similar one punch man in one aspect its waaaay different. Kenshiro as a character while op (relative to avarge ppl in his universe) does face allot of difficulties throw out his jurny all (fighters) main cast are capable and are similar to kenahiro in strength all villins are relatable and u can't really hate them . Kenshiro himslef is not a one dimensional character (he seems that way because well he was the og badass Silent guy) , kenshiro shows alot of emotions and funny enough shed tears alot, he is : gentleman, kind, loving, caring and considerate . The story is aint like main stream shonen it aint about the flashy hero or the op guy with op powers that finna get all women.... Its the complete opposite the simplest looking guy but with a charming personality and ideology (which evolves throw out the series) It is one of those shows that u wont witness anything similar to it, while some may appear similar in some aspects nothing is really like it.,its a love story a tragedy and a dramtic survival story Give it a shot if u want....

Might as well point it out that Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is from the late 80's, it came out after Fist of the North Star which is early 80's.
Wait, was it really? Why have I only heard about it the past couple years?
That's because the anime was made in 2012 to celebrate Jojo's 25th year of publication.
Oh! Well, thanks for letting me know!
Ris Grestar
its also because it had problems on copyrights due to how Araki (the creator of jojo) loves west culture and names a lot of things after bands and songs or even artists,
especially after part 3, with most abilities named after songs of that time:
"bites the dust, Kiss, killer queen, Cream (with the user called: "vanilla ice"), Zeppelin(Led Zeppelin), Sex pistols, white snake, Dirty deeds done dirt cheep, soft & wet, man in the mirror and much *much* more.
it contributes to the over all feel of the series but sadly thats why its been so hard for us west fans to see this massively cultural series thats a big influence on shonen manga/anime.

Kenshiro can read people's hearts, and the fight wouldn't have happened to begin with if any premise took character's actual background into account.

Ooo, what about Mario vs Link?
I don't think Link has much to counter Mario's Invincibility Star...

His older brother is literal Jesus in the Hokuto No Ken anime.
Yep toki
If you haven't watched or read Fist of the North Star, I think most people who have would tell you the same thing:
It is one of the best manga about love to ever exist.
most heartbreaking death since pokemon vs digimon

Actually he needed to pop his head out to see where Polnareff was, if he weren't a vampire he would of been killed instantly
Well Vanilla Ice can't see inside of his stand and had to pop his head out to see where his opponents are. That's also the biggest weakness of it imo.

I heard stories about how a legend Kenshiro is but I didn't think he was this amazing
Drago Dragneel he is basically the reason Jonathan and the series was born.
I’d rate these anime, Manliness/10
When i first heard this death battle announcement i thought "Fist of the north star is invincible" ( common quote from the show )

honestly fist of the north star is mostly kenshiro touching bad guy then they explode but there are a few guys as overpowered as he is.
The only reason I knew Kenshiro would win is because Jotaro taking no hits sounds like a stupid excuse to make a Death Battle.
Why they be called stands if the users be doing all the standing?
Still confused, if kenshiro can kill someone with a single hit, then why did he struggled fighting souther in the first time ?
because all of souther's pressure points are mirrored
I feel like Spyro can just do more than Crash because all Crash can do is spin into things and _maybe_ use a jetpack or a missile launcher, and Spyro's a flippin' dragon.
I mean, with his spinning he has done impressive things so I'd say he has impressive speed, strength and durability but besides the missile launcher, that shoots wumpa fruit mind you, he doesn't seem to have much to his advantage.
"yare yare daze"
so to use muso tensei, you need to get depressed pretty much... and they say alchohol is a depressant.... so why cant Boomstick use Muso Tensei?
NANI?!?!?!?!
Jotaro would have won, He would 100% rely on Time Stop once he realised how strong he is. And the rat episode, that was to help teach Josuke. I honestly don’t think Jotaro would lose, atleast part 3 Jotaro
"Wait so he's not invisible."
Ugh, the stand Star Platinum is invisible man. Jotaro himself is not. That is what they said.
Anyways, overall I agree with the verdict but I still feel like they are ignoring Star Platinum's near light speed.
The Stand is the Stand USER is not.
Jotaro 3,000,000 tons to
Kenshiro 1000 tons or over wow I wonder who is stronger
The old man is 100% responsible for making this episode awesome and hilarious.
Harrison Hess the old man's name is Joseph Joestar, Jotaro's grand father
question; why not asgore dreemurr vs ganon?
both are kings of underground or dark world, both use tridents, magic, and doomed by 7 souls or 7 sages.
I’m pretty sure Spyro will beat crash
You’re not wrong about crash bandicoot
Jotaro Was Downplayed In This Death Battle
Im D i s a p o i n t e d
Just like the anime, Joseph is the most entertaining part.
Shin was Kens friend so he wouldn't fight until he stole his girl him Nanto Seiken is not as strong as Hokuto Shinken
It's ATATATATA VS ORAORAORA, not MUDAMUDAMUDA
I’m a little disappointed with the next time. It’s a little too predictable for me. Once I saw Crash, Spyro instantly popped to mind.
Tanner Lowrie I wonder if they're going to make it 3D because they are 3D games right?
I'm kinda hype for it because I wanted this fight to happen since I was a kid.
It's confirmed to be 3D
Well I am pretty sure this is a highly requested one, its predictable because similar to Goku vs Superman, people really want to see it.
MysteriousTomJenkins
true
what if rocko was in death battle what would rocko opponent would be
They are equally as old as the other.
I am just going to say this they have left a bunch out on both sides. It felt sloppy on this one.
Jojo's is actually 30+ years old
Jotaro may seem like a buff brawler, which he kind of is, but JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is all about basically playing a game of chess to the death, where you analyze your opponent's strengths and weaknesses and come up with a way to beat them.
Theyre both old anime by the way
Ris Grestar: Ok he is Jesus, a very violent Jesus.
Me: Not exactly, he's Jesus' violent brother. Here this is Jesus ruclips.net/video/5a2oMKrnslw/видео.html
I hope Spyro wins too!
10:45 neat ris grestar meow(neat).
But would you ever consider watching Jojo?
Wild Wade more importantly Fist of the North Star.
Shame on you ris you watched this beforehand didn't you as you predicted this way too well
I didn't, but I have literally no way to prove that to you, so *shrugs*
Only other stand users can see other stands normal humans can't see stands
but a stand is a manifestation of a fighting spirit and they said that kenshiro can see fighting spirits.
Josuexit ...damn I thought they all had names from the 70s and 80s.
It's more like, music Araki likes. There are even Japanese songs like Chocolate Disco and Wekapiko, I think.
Josuexit Hahaha nice. I should really get around to it because he named TWO characters after my favorite band (Oingo Boingo).
Cool VS OP... hmm
Both series are really old
I don't care if I get flack for this but...
Glitchy88 nah brother
While he might seem similar one punch man in one aspect its waaaay different.
Its the complete opposite the simplest looking guy but with a charming personality and ideology (which evolves throw out the series)
It is one of those shows that u wont witness anything similar to it, while some may appear similar in some aspects nothing is really like it.,its a love story a tragedy and a dramtic survival story
Give it a shot if u want....
check out seththeprogrammer he goes into more depth with the characters ability's and regularly debunks deathbattles
this ones been debunked
YEAH ! KENSHIRO WINS ! WOO !
