Thank you!! This is brilliant!! I have been trying to figure out a way to shrink down for an on the go kit and this is full of wonderful suggestions! I think the bobbin would be fun doing families of stitches in each section! I look forward to playing with some bobbin rolls down the road!

You are so welcome! I am really glad you found it helpful. It's amazing what you can fit in a small pouch if you think creatively. Enjoy stitching on the go! ✈️

thank you for this video, there are many great suggestions.
If I may suggest nail clippers as scissors alternative on an airplane, they do the trick until you can get hold of your scissors again.
enjoy the rest of your vacation

@midge5921 What a great idea. Nail clippers didn't even occur to me! I'm loving hearing everyone's travel solutions. It's great to have options. Thanks for watching. Hopefully there will ge another Italy video soon. 🤗

How lovely to enjoy a video with you in such a beautiful place. Thank you for thinking of us. I love your new geometric shape stitch project and the colours are lovely I've never done that kind of thing but want to try it. Great tips for making a sewing kit and I love the way you got the end off that spool reel to tuck needles in there... I never would have thought of that. Altogether a fun and useful video. Enjoy your holiday and come back safe. Love Vera in Northern Ireland ❤

@user-me3wt1rw9f thank you Vera. I really enjoyed making a video here. I hope I can make another to share later too. Glad you enjoyed the tips. I have a snippet roll video planned, so hopefully, that will get you started soon. 🤗

Loved this video - the set up with the pan 😄, the story of your split dress 😱 and the Mary Poppins amazing amount you got in your bag - and of course, the really helpful tips. Thanks Rebecca! X

@adrienneroberts thanks so much. I've had a split back seam on 2 separate occasions, would you believe! Once on the London Underground, and another time in a queue at an ice-cream shop in Henley In Arden. Surely these things should only happen to anyone once! Glad you enjoyed the video. 🤗

Any non stitcher would think I'm bonkers but I found the peek into your travel kit quite exciting. It was bit like Mary Poppins' carpet bag! One stich per section sounds like a good idea.

You can definitely take small scissors on a plane - under 4cm blades. I wouldn’t risk my favourite scissors, but I take cheap pairs with no problem. Taking kits is a great idea.

Many knitters take floss tape as it has a sharp enough blade to cut yarn

Thanks so much. I'm still too scared to take scissors. I'll put it down to a childhood fear of getting into trouble! There's probably a therapy session right there! 😂

I prefer the “family of stitches” approach to the dinky felt bobbin sampler. This way …there would be a variety of stitches to see in each section as the bobbin unrolls….the other way of progressing from easy ,simple stitches to more complicated ones would mean that there would be a delay before the exciting stuff could be revealed. This, of course, is my own opinion. PS I love the autumnal colours you have collected together.

Thanks for the video Rebecca. Like you I have the pendant cutter but I also have a pair of Fiskars folding travel approved scissors which are allowed on planes. They come with me when I go to the USA. Looking forward to seeing your bobbin reel slow stitch progress. I like the idea of stitch families for each section.

@carolcambie2245 I need some of those! How exciting that such things exist! I like the stitch family idea too, I'm worried I've made the sections too small though. I'll see what I think when I have appliquéd on the shapes. 🤗

I think there are a bunch of beginner videos of RUclips. But a family of stitches sounds intriguing to me. Happy Holidays. It looks so beautiful where your staying. Enjoy it. Thank you for the tips on travel you sent our way. I usually try to take way to much.
