    THANK YOU, for showing us SENIORS, a very concise way to protect ourselves.
    I always "Talk my way out of a skirmish," but here recently, a bully & his daddy were standing so close to me, during my transaction at a store, that the normal movement of my arm was bumping my elbow into his chest area, and his daddy was almost as close. I asked, if they thought they could get any closer to me, as I did my transaction. The younger bully said if I smarted off, to him again, he was putting me on the ground !!! His daddy tried to settle him down but he persisted. Tge store was plumb full of customers and I figured the best way to diffuse the situation was to apologize to him. He said "one more mouthing off and he would put me on the ground. They followed my car after I left and I lost them when I taxied thru the police station squad area. Folks like that NEED attitude adjustments !!! I've spent my life in Rescue and fire fighting, (All volunteer), and deserve better treatment than that. I'm close to 70, and don't need the worries of this type treatment.
    Could you do a scenario about what to do when in a register line in a store setting, when some perp pulls one of these stunts. THANK YOU !!!

    Fantastic. As a gentle Caregiver, I love the advice to be aggressive and intense, and act as your own first responder. I am a 62 yr. old female in Florida, who often carries a cane or walking stick. I did buy a heart of hickory combat cane. I will be watching these moves, practicing them, and especially the accompanying attitude! Thank you.

    Dang this is GREAT instruction!
    Sadly the "hook" on my cane is too "closed" to do the looping swing thing (sorry I don't know the proper terminology). I can do the figure-of-eight-cross-body OK but not the one side looping thing.
    Seems like I bought a cane before watching the proper videos :-(
    Regardless - THANK YOU Matt for these videos. VERY helpful as I get up in years and infirmity and immobility.

    This is stupid. Seniors aren't this fast. The self defense comes from training them what to do after every move goes wrong and capitalizing on what they know like baseball

    • @pasquinilli
      @pasquinilli  Год назад

      The seniors that I train have all levels of speed, strength, skill, mobility, and ability. Some are very fast and strong and might have limited range of motion due to injuries but are still very capable. Others have a lot less strength and speed and some have sever limitations. Everyone makes progress in the application and in their skill level. You are limited in your understanding or your experience.

      @@pasquinilli No I'm just the guy who has to scrape them up off the sidewalk.
      Yes - I've seen seniors defend themselves effectively, and usually it's with a pistol or a knife.
