- Carp angler and writer Ed Betteridge learns more about lure fishing techniques and tactics on a tuition with Predator Guide Robbie Northman. Ed fished as an all-round angler in the '80's and 90', but over the last 20 years has lost touch with modern techniques required to get the most from the current array of lures that are available. Robbie explains how to best work, Small Plastics, Spin Baits, Crank Baits etc, Both anglers are using the new SG2 and SG4 Rods in a casting weight to suit the lures, ranging from a 1-5 gram ultra light set up for fun with small perch to a 12-35 gram for the bigger lures. The Savage Gear Lures used are, Gravity Crank, Cannibal Shads, Spin Tails, Drop Shot kits, etc

I have literally just ordered the SG2, 7ft 10-40g (spin) rod. Any chance of a tutorial on the different mainline/ traces or mainline hook setups for pike/ perch etc please? Loving the videos, they are getting me excited to get out there on the local canal and waters! :D
what's the difference between the sg2 and sg4 range?
I've ordered the 70-130g trigger sg2
SG4 is a little more expensive but both are good quality I have a 7/23 SG4 it’s brill

What do u mean it is in a rod not pole
@scottmckinnon5629 listen to the video & you should understand.

Must have missed the bit where you talk about retrieval rates and techniques. Not all that much useful information here, just advertising really.
No wire trace? Bloody noddies.
