Ilya seems to be in what I can only presume is the position of a White Fang defect, or she's an undercover agent, much in the same vain as Cinder was. Penny being a first year is nice, glad this AU is doing her justice that the show couldn't really do properly. As for Alyx... that one remains a mystery. Also dang nabbit, Torchwick escaped and now Team RWBY has to deal with Team CRDL (Cardinal), aka the bigots. Wonder how this will end?

I've watched 30 seconds of this so far and I love it more then the last 3 seasons of Rwby. Monty laid down such a fun and endearing world. Now we've got writer's that make a whole season about pro suicide. As someone who tried to take their life twice, and still struggles with depression I find it insulting how they handled it and how Rwby killing herself in front of her friends was just glossed over.

I honestly really like this. More because I feel as though Beacon fell too soon in my opinion. In this version, RWBY and JNPR can go out and gain more experience and be better prepared. Now I don't know if you plan to make Beacon fall stilll, but if it does, at least it will feel a little more impactful.

I was not expecting to see Oscar and Ilia showing up as students. But Alyx?! What’s she doing here, and for the record… why hasn’t she aged?!
Basically every character post-vol3 is shuffled around to better fit the story this AU, so Alyx was just born the same time as everyone else :)
