Last month was a tough time, it was during that time I listened to this song. It took me to such an etherial place, I kept playing it over and over again. Without much preparation I just went downstairs and started tracking parts. It was an amazing feeling to be in such a flow state of mind. The beautiful backdrops you see are courtesy of my parents decorative choices :)
I just want to reaffirm that there are no hidden instruments or instrumental enhancers, the "horn" is a visual representation of how I want the chorus to feel.

I keep linking you from other similar musical videos around YT when someone expresses interest in your mode of music delivery (overdubbing harmonization) in the comments sections. Hopefully I've gotten you a few viewers and maybe even some subscribers. You are WAY to good to be getting 50,000 views on a video like this. From an emotionally evocative standpoint, and maybe a vocal one as well, I think this is definitely one of your pinnacle submissions, for me. So moving, so intense, apparently so heartfelt. It gives me some healing every time I hear it, I hope it did the same for you (there's nobody alive that doesn't need some 'food for the soul' on occasion).
As a former sound engineer and aspiring film editor, your projects resonate with me on a technical level. But, the music is so well-chosen, well-arranged, AND well-performed! You're firing on all cylinders, Sam. Keep up the great work. Your growth is inspiring.

The effects added definitely gives this version more of an atmosphere and mystique that is more interesting to the ear than the original. That said, part of the charm/mystique of the original was in its simplicity, and that is lost in the added complexity. But, in the end, I think the trade-off was worth it. If I could have a version with Avi singing the main verse on top of Sam adding all his background vocals from this that would be true perfection of this song.
