@@avafreeman336 You're welcome, so am I so glad she got off to that fake show. First time ever it will be on CBS!! We know the uncomfortable folk won't be watching..lol
And I’m so glad that she just turns out well! Cuz we all know some child or teen performers got lost in the Hollywood spotlight growing up. Happy for her.
My brother made toys out of old electronics when we were kids because we were too poor to afford toys. He would collect the neighbors old irons, lighters, toasters, etc break them apart and create some weird looking contraptions. Today he builds ships🤷🏿♀️
Went to a private school in Zimbabwe, Southern Africa with mostly white kids and was teased for having big lips, big eyes and a wide nose....now years later those features are my fav and some people nowadays have cosmetic surgeries to have some of those features loooool. Love my African features....
Nobody wants a big nose. People do want fuller lips and wide non-hooded non-droopy eyes, so they get lip fillers and brow lifts, Eyelid surgery, blepharoplasty. but nobody gets surgery to get a wider nose.
I have wide nose too. I have considered a surgery to get them smaller all the time. I just chicken out every time lol I have not heard of anyone wanting wider nose or get surgery to make them wide. Only heard the other way around. They don’t bother me as much anymore but I still do entertain the thought of getting it done sometimes
Growing up I was teased for being sensitive and caring too much. In today’s society we be lucky to come across someone who truly cares. Now I’ve people telling me that I’m someone who really makes time for others and have the ability to make them feel respected and understood.
Thick eyebrows in primary school. Then Cara Delevingne came into the modelling scene and all those bullies started to draw their eyebrows on lol. Also my skin colour but a couple years later the popular girls went to get spray tans that were lokey borderline black fishing so that just shows that they are really unhappy with themselves.
I was outed in high school for being gay and got harassed/teased for it. But now I’m part of an organization that helps house, protect and empower Black LGBT youth ☺️ EDIT: Aw, thank you guys sooo much! 💙 This is something that really would’ve helped me to stop hating on myself sooner, so I’m glad I’m able to help kids who are in the same position I was in
Adrienne I loved that. My parents were also struggling with English when we immigrated to America 20 years ago. Now I appreciate everything we went through as a family.
Amanda has a great bust size for her build! She’s slim and so it’s lovely to have the chest that she has. I don’t always believe that big is better. Keep owning it girl! ❤️👏🏽🤎
Omg same! I was teased and was even so much self conscious about my big butt and thick thighs that I would hate that moment when a teacher calls me out to come up to the front to solve a problem on the board because everybodys gonna see my body 😫 ....is it just me ?sorry haha
Wow I loved hearing Adrienne's story! Kids can be so cruel.I've been called a weirdo even up into my adult years. But what I've learned is ppl that hurt others are usually hurting themselves.Ultimately it is our differences that make us amazing! If we were all the same there would be nothing to learn and life would be dull!! It's so dope to see ppl flip their pain into their power! #TheReal #LoveIt ❤❤❤
When I was little I was teased all the time for my natural curly hair in school because having naturally curly hair as an Asian girl was extremely rare. I'm not even mixed. But now I totally rock my unique, natural hair, baby!!! I love it! ♥️
Yeah...I agree, you may have some African Ancestry down the line. Time to do some digging. Time to ask your parents & grandparents some hard & honest questions.
I swear when I went to see The Real live and saw Adrienne doing her segment alone, doing the prompter I was like dammmnnn she really gets into a zone. Like she really understands how to make it not look like its written. Love Adrienne so much, because I believe these little moments really make me who I am.
I was teased in school for having large eyes that aren't really deep set into my skull, but then in my late teens and 20s guys would always say they love how open and alluring my big beautiful eyes are! A lot of things that kids are teased about really don't matter when you're an adult or turn out to be a positive thing..
Ajoh Wong same, I was teased for being skinny, and people and middle school used to call me anorexic. I even had a friend make fun of my legs and I cried. Today I walk down the street and people always ask me do you model.
Growing up as a fall girl was emotionally and physically draining. I was standing at 5’11” when I was 14 years old and I was constantly bullied for it. Regardless of the mean people who tried to bring me down, I learned how to love and accept myself. Now I’m confident a 6’2” stunner and I wouldn’t want to be any shorter 💅🏿
This is by far one of my favorite episodes. Bless your heart this particular clip has truly helped me get through some tough times. I love you ladies with all my heart. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing story.
i was teased about my hair and developing at an age and my weight in elementary school, now i proudly rock my God given shape that other girls pay so much money for and i LOVE my hair
I almost cried watching this especially when Adrienne was sharing her own. I was teased for so many things I don’t even know which to mention but from that, I learned to enjoy my own company and love all that i am and I’m a happier person for it ❤️
I don't really cry but Adrienne made me reflect on how much I fight and hate what people bully me for to now realize that maybe that's the gift God gave to me no matter how much I hate it
I thank Adrienne for this and hope that she is able to share it in interviews if possible. I think children and adults need this type of inspiration when unsure of why things are the way they are sometimes.
I LOVE Adrienne's story. I was a weird kid too making my friends play business games. We pretended we owned businesses in New York. It was the Kangaroo Corporation. 😄😄😄
Oh gosh. I have so many. My big forehead. Flat chested. Big nose. Dark under eyes. I don’t know if I love them now but I sure do live with it easier and it bothers me less and less as I got older.
PJ O that is very sweet of you to say that. Thank you so much. I do constantly try to say nice thing about myself more and more. I think my worst enemy is actually me who listen to those teasing. Cannot believe it took me this long to figure out how to love my own damn self lol
Sometimes children can be terrible human beings, that's why it is imperative we, the parents train our children to be gracious and respectful to people who may seem different.
I HATED my curly hair, being the only hispanic girl in an all white kids school made me feel so self concious about it, even the teachers would pick fun at me, comparing me to a poodle dog one of them owned, that teacher would take the dog to school and put us side by side comparing our hair, as a middle school kid i felt AWFUL about it, but now curly hair is all the rage and im embracing my curls now more than ever! 😄
I was teased every single day for being tall and skinny. Every single day!! I had low self esteem and hated myself and always asked God why he made me so ugly. But today????!!!! I’m fabulous and strutting my stuff all day everyday stomping on the haters! Same people who laughed at me then when they see me today tell me how beautiful I am. I look at them with the side eye like uhuh...
Adrienne gave a testimony up there. It felt like church for a moment.
Kaylene Jantjes i was thinking the exact same thing! Haha getting emotional here!!
