Sir Matt Busby was and is one of the greatest, most influential football managers of all-time. During 25 years in charge of Manchester United his charisma, vision and steel revolutionised the beautiful game, turning Manchester United from the second-best team in their home city into one of the most iconic names in sport. His youthful "Busby Babes" team captivated a generation and, after they were decimated by the Munich air crash, he somehow found the strength to rebuild, nurturing superstars like Bobby Charlton and George Best before leading them to European glory. Matt Busby did not just change football - he changed the world of sport forever.
Directed by Joe Pearlman, BUSBY combines previously unseen archive footage with interviews with those who knew Busby best including the remaining ‘Busby Babes’ and members of the 1968 European Cup winning team, the ‘Class of ’92’, and others.

Is this another film that could have done more research? No-one talked to me or my family: My Grandfather Joe Armstrong was Busby's "fixer" & chief scout from 1945. They were lifelong friends, from when Busby was at City in the 30s aged 18. Joe was nearly 20 years older & local, so was Matt's first appointment when he joined United in 1945, along with Jimmy Murphy. On the day he came to join United in 1945, he arrived with his bags to stay at my Grandad's house! The three of them formed the Busby Babes. This is not in any way to take away from Sir Matt or what he achieved, just to add more depth to the story. Joe Armstrong's reverence to Sir Matt speaks volumes:
