      He is a unique squad player one of a kind. I've never seen a player in a squad that is just kept just for the important games to run around and man mark. I've always wondered why that isn't a common role in modern football, to have that kind of player to utilise in a squad.

    • @halloire
      @halloire 5 лет назад +63

      @@ctb1977There are so few people who have the stamina and fortitude to actually take on such a role. JSP was a monster, the man could run a marathon, get a glass of water and then run another one. After that he'd probably still be able to outrun and outplay most people in football today.

    This is so beautiful to watch when Sir Alex start mentioning about how they were boys playing football and after retiring becoming adults looking out for other path of career, its like a teacher seeing your students grown up. As an arsenal fan, I have tremendous respect for Sir Alex Ferguson, I rate him as the best EPL football manager I had ever seen watching football. His passion and dedication was heartfelt from his actions speaking to his players and making sure everyone is doing their job in order to keep winning. I still remember I shed some tears when I saw Sir Alex Ferguson speaks for the final time being the football manager for Manchester United. You can see from his expression how proud he was to lead such a great team from his leadership and backroom staff and also the reluctance that this could be his last time into football management. One thing if my manager Arsene Wenger could learn is he need to be ruthless with his players, I watch from previous interviews ex players mentioned Arsene Wenger is soft on players, that is the mentality that we are lacking which Sir Alex Ferguson managed to put across to his players. There will be no other Manchester United manager able to do such a phenomenal job like what Sir Alex had achieved through his time with Manchester United. His legacy speaks volume and people will always remember of such a charismatic manager in Sir Alex Ferguson, peace -cas

But after years of sufferings i realize I'm a Fergie fan, not United fan. The current United is in shambles, not worthy of being a shadow of its former self despite having a very good team. There is no legacy left other than the name and statue.

    Chills down my spine. Even though it wasnt a "proper' team talk you can still see them take it seriously when Fergie said "dont lose". Patrice saying "no boss" just reflects the respect and dominance Sir Alex had over the club and its players. Nobody dared to question him.

      Thats why lfc does very well now, imo, because the players respect Klopp. I just feel it whenever i watch lfc, They are all in for it. We had that with fergie (although not everyone felt that way ofc). Klopp is probably the closest thing to Fergie these days. Pep too ofc, i am not excluding such a brilliant manager. But I hope we can compete against you again. Imagine a lfc united in cl final. Would be immense.

Not every player can do that to their manager. He is pure class and gold. The best manager of all time. He adapted , changed his tatic not once not twice but always to build team after team. No one will be able to succeed his legacy. As a united fan, just hope that this united side can watch this video. Bring glory back.

    Sir Alex made men out of players...tough love, but also extremely fare, compassionate, caring and always made sure a certain bond was there with boundaries. We also went out of his way to make sure he knew every member of the players families and visited their homes and gave support to family issues etc. At every single stage of a players development both on and off the pitch, Sir Alex we a true gent, friend and boss. The best.
