LOL. Not many people can win a cup for city, be captain of Liverpool, and still be a legend at United.

Shankly, Ferguson, Busby and Stein. The Greatest of The Greats. All were Born and Raised within 25 miles of Glasgow City Centre. All served time down at The Coal face in the local mines, except Ferguson, who worked in The Famous Govan Shipyards on The River Clyde.

Absolutely. He gave a speech once saying Murphy taught him all he knew, publicly embarrassing Matt.

Bit of poetic licence given on the Huddersfield game assertion.
There was only 1 match vs Huddersfield in 1953, and it came on 31st October, and there were 2 teenagers, Duncan Edwards and Jackie Blanchflower. There were a couple of 20 year olds and a couple more 21 year olds, and those in their early 20's but not 7 as the video liked to boast. I'm sure it was still an unusual occurrence but still...
Thanks for posting all of this, all your vids are priceless.

He was Sir Mat Busby what a difference today BETWEEN him and the one we have today one always hammering
on the opponents bar and the other the other side and one he is timed and the other is arrogant I am sorry
to the fans today we are not seeing attracting football

Excellent video but doesn't he take a slagging from his players eg: we saved his job/I never once got told how to improve my game(ie he knew fuck all about tactics)/I gave my wage packet straight to the wife, I knew what was in it, not much. No wonder Mitten did one to Bogota and later came back to England to arse around with greyhounds whilst playing for Fulham. Exploited players under a tyrant manager with no empathy.

@@michaelroberts7374 It really reflects the rise of workers rights up to the point players diverged from the working class and became superstars. Really it was serfdom, you choose your master and they restrict your trade and dispose of you as they see fit. Mitten should have stayed abroad until the end of his career, he might have got something more from it.

@@michaelroberts7374 Heavy restrictions breed desperate actions, any alternative is taken. That maximum wage needed to go. Shame for Charlie Mitten he did not live in an erra with modern coaching and wages, it sounds like everything he ever wanted.

In your dreams, Everton were formed the same year as Manchester United and Liverpool were not even a team until long after then and if it weren't for an argument about rent would not exist. Liverpool FC is forever in Everton's shadow, if you know your history.
