Makes me proud to support this club. Week in week out we still stand together in the stands, singing our hearts out in honour of these lads. Gone, but never forgotten. GGMU
Only one club milked munich for years UNITED. they treated survivors like dirt for years..johnny berry kicked out of his house within1year of munich, jackie blanchflower within months & a pregnant wife too. albert scanlon ended up working 12 hour shifts as a security guard. harry gregg has said in many interviews about the disgraceful treatment after munich. very classyTheir coach Jimmy Murphy, Busby's right hand man, not even given a pension by those dirtbags..
As an Arsenal fan, I will always have a tremendous respect and admiration for those great young gents who never made it home. They were a truly special group of players and men. Loved by all across the land through the many generations and the years, the greatest team of all time. Maybe the Manchester United team of today need a reminder of who they play for.
If you follow the logic that money buys success then yes you can buy history. History is just what you’ve won in the past, so if it a team can buy success, it by extension also buys history.
I'm not a Utd. fan, but did admire them in the pre Ferguson days. I remember where I was when news came through about the crash. I was playing in an indoor five a side tournament at the time, and we all stopped playing as we took in the enormity of the accident. The tournament was cancelled and we all trooped out of the building. I vividly remember the silence as we walked away, wending our way home.
This is why I support and love Manchester United. I love this club and a big fan, I absolutely love this club because of the Busby Babes and Ferguson. RIP Busby Babes, you were the stepping stones to Manchester United's success
its lies and glosses over truths. Still cry today, wonderful scene..... Just class..... My dad cried for weeks in 58, just broke his heart... Whole of Manchester was broken for a while. Rip the flowers of Manchester
This movie is honestly what made me a full on united fan, the glory days under sir Alex was fun yes, but this is literally the story of why Manchester are the club they are, and why they'll always be the greatest in Manchester.
Absolutely beautiful movie, perfectly made, amazing acting, heartbreaking story, this is the kind of movie that should be winning oscars, proud to be a united supporter
@@flower_girl4983 because this shows the hard-work and passion of players and especially of Murphy how he brought players motivated Charlton to play football again and make United the best team again ❤️❤️❤️
My father played in the junior sides 49-52 alongside some of these boys, Billy Whelan, Dave Pegg, Geoff Bent, Mark Jones, Jackie Blanchflower. Obviously he knew Sir Matt and Jimmy. For a couple of reasons it didn't quite work out for him, not that he wasn't good enough (50-51 Season 31 Goals in 34 matches) for the Colts and A Team. Despite my questions he wouldn't speak about his time at United much, I think Munich broke him deep inside and it was just too painful to talk about. The irony is, all my life he was a City supporter.
We the fans of Manchester United owe a huge debt of gratitude to our legends who paved the way to make this club into a global brand that has an incredible amount of support worldwide. Even when the odds are stacked against us, we never give up as what the busby babes have taught us. We will always honour and remember the busby babes forever in our hearts and minds. One love. One United. ❤️❤️❤️
I lost my old man in February & I remember watching this film with him & numerous times throughout he’d say how gutted he was that he never got to see Duncan Edwards & The Busby Babes. There’s a line in the film by the policeman who says “The whole country loved these lads” and never a truer word has been spoke Because my dad was a Wolves fan who had a great side too back then but all he could remember as a 15 year old was he was going to get to see them play but unfortunately we all know what happened Forget Sir Alex’s sides, Bill Nicholson’s Spurs, Cloughie’s Forest, Shankly & Paisley’s Pool teams, 50’s Wolves team etc etc etc This team was the BEST this countries ever had. Legends one & all
We should put it up on the entrance of the pitch " We owe it to the Babes " like Liverpool have " This is Anfield". I think this would be a motivation for every player in our squad who seriously loves playing for United ❤️
Don't care anyone's allegiance... If these boys hadn't died in that terrible crash, England would have been '58 '62 as well as '66 World cup Winners. And i shudder to imagine how many European Cups theyd have won... 8...9...10. Different class. RIP The Flowers Of Manchester. Xxx
An Arsenal fan here, however always admired how Manchester United rised up from the ashes after such a tragedy. RIP to Bobby & all those who lost there lives on that flight. ❤
it happened to me recently. I actually saw the forms of Rooney, Scholes, Park Ji Sung, Carlos Tevez, and Giggs, but then I returned to reality and saw Maguire, Fred, McTominay, Luke Shaw, etc
We didn't stop then, we don't stop now....we'll never stop. Because we are Manchester United. One love. And for the lads in the East Stand? See you shortly boys.
I'm Leeds and cant explain how much this made me cry. No love lost between us and man utd but these lads were special. Imagine a world of the Busby babes against revies Leeds. Heartbreaking.
Incredibly moving scene. Remember this really getting to me when I watched it first time on TV. Brilliant young players, especially Duncan Edwards who should have had the opportunity to be one of the true greats of the game, but more than that - men who had their own lives and dreams to fulfil.
Put it into perspective, Messi can play any where forward but Duncan Edwards could play anywhere on the pitch and be world class I think that puts things into prospective
Every time I get to this part I shed a tear for those boys, I am united through n through. They were the boys then, and now they’re immortalised legends. Legends never die
Brought tears to my eyes, what players these guys could've been. Unbelievable talent. RIP you beautiful men the busby babes the flowers of Manchester. Proud to be a red I'd die for this club my blood my home my family one love MUFC! ❤🇾🇪
Love this. Not about the name. It's about the badge and the club. Which they reference in the movie and it gives me chills. Love this club! UNITED TILL I DIE!!!
For those wondering this scene is played near the beginning of the movie just before the team has a match and is once again played at the end when he is remembering the team while looking at the new as many of the original ones died in a plane crash
”Its not about their memory. Its about showing who we are to the world, Showing we’ll not be bowed by tragedy. Because how we are in the future will be founded on how we behave today”
You and me both man I absolutely bawl my eyes out to it and I try fight it but just tugs at your heart like there no tomorrow Born a Red Devil die a Red Devil GGMU
I selected this club to support when I was in the fifth grade now it makes me feel on top of the world. Even if they don't win trophies I'll support the club
Not a Manchester United fan by any stretch. Id rather never watch football again than support them, however you cannot take away what they achieved as a team and Bobby Charlton, wow, what a player. The part when Jimmy Murphy (Tennant) looks and sees the original Busby Babes looking back at him in the tunnel still hits me like a ton of bricks. You've gone home now Bobby, you can go and play football with your fellow babes forever ❤ light the pitch up there
Although I love this scene, however the other tunnel scene makes me proud of them as human beings never mind ability. *edwards confronts opposition player*
This is why United should never get bought by Qatar. It will never be the same again. People should look at and realise what United was and what United stands for 💯
A tragic story of what might have been. 3 Europeans cups, might have been 6. 20 league titles might have been 25. Talented souls lost in their prime. 😩
That music grips you like electric, you can't get away and never forget the scene! Its ironic the FA caused that tragedy ...and now cause the Leic defeat, they don't like MU? Southern puffs!!!
Sir Bobby must be having an amazing team reunion up there...
