Most impressive about this video was your presentation. While I knew much of this, there were still items to learn, and again the way you easily presented. It made it thoroughly enjoyable to watch the entire video.
I forwarded this to my elderly father. Wish this channel would have either a second channel or channel series for the elderly. The approach and demeanor is picture perfect for older individuals.
I clicked on a ransom ware site once. It locked up my computer. Had a message saying to call some number to get it restored. I formatted my hard drive. Lost everything but computer worked like new.
Hi Josh !! Since I watched your videos for many years, I recommend you to make a review about antivirus software. Should we use it or should not? Does it help? that also respond this video. Online security , device security and much more.
Here's a tip guys just don't panic and run a virus scanner/antivirus in ur device then simply logout from all your banking apps from that device . Just don't forget to keep running the antivirus every single 2-3 hrs that day
Hello everyone, currently going thru a little bit of paranoia I have an iPhone and was scrolling thru adult websites then I get forwarded to many more unknown links and they were blank I just sat on them for 2 seconds the most and then it shows me now my account is being prevented by trackers trying to track me down am I safe still or is there any more safety measurements I need to take in order to keep my information safe. Let me know please and thank you
in terms of step 1 ive incorporated a cheap little network switch splitter (about $5-$10 on amazon) leaving 1 of 2 outputs open to act as a physical kill switch. prior to implementing, ive also had a few accidental moments of concern or a situation that felt sus and having to reach behind my device or router to unplug was a little annoying. even though its a cheap attachment its still something of a lifesaver & peace of mind. #GameChanger
I received a text message with a suspiscous link, I accidentally held the link as I was trying to verify the credibility of it and the website opened, I didn’t input any information and closed the page. Can I get malware from clicking a link and opening the website?.
I don't think so I mean I just accidently clicked a link on reddit and I'll just see if anything happens so i think your good bro I didn't do anything either I just clicked off the link and that's that. If it has no info then it can't hack
i clicked on link and they took all money i had on my number (only number) and i did everything i knew for it to not happen again, now i checked everything again and nothing seems suspicious so am i safe?😅
I use the old school method if clicked on a link that goes a stray - X out of the browser (my browsers are configured to erase history and cache on exit). Scan with a malware program (responding to any issue if arise) then reboot the device and upon reboot re-scan with the malware software. Sometimes if unsure of a link I will right click (on Window PC) to bring up the menu that allows copying the link text. Paste that link text into a text editor and review the link pasted. If all good I then paste that link into the browser.
That sounds like a good plan. I think the only thing worth thinking about is how you're going to respond when this happens on a mobile device (and it will eventually). Do you have a way to scan your mobile?
@@AllThingsSecuredit just happened to me on mobile but on an iphone someone told me i shouldnt have to really worry about it but i dont really know if thats true. could you tell me?
somebody send me a friend req in steam and when i accepted it he sent me a link saying get 50$ gift card free but i didn't clicked and reported, blocked that guy.....
My facebook account has been hack and i cant access it any more that accyis very important to me becouse all the photos my mom send me i cant see it anymore pls help me
While 2FA is good, humans are still the weakest link. There are people out there who even tell the scammers about the 2FA when talking over the phone! No matter how advance or powerful security measures can be, they can never erase the dumbness of humans.
100% correct. But that's also why I recommend 2FA keys as much as possible. You can tell people until you're blue in the fact that you have a 2FA key, but unless they physically have it in their possession, it doesn't matter at all.

What are the best malware software scanning sites?

Really appreciate that. I try to produce videos that I think my mom and dad would understand and benefit from.

Great Channel Thanks for all your hard work Great Information 🙏
Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
👍🏻
Thank you
nice video , saved it , covered some topic from your old videos too
Thanks 🙏
Nice jumpscare at the begining Josh lol
😆
for bitly links, if you add a + behind the url, it shows you the destination of the link instead of redirecting you.
Instant alt+f4 task manager, clear browsing data your device might be safe now

Did you have a good backup?
@@AllThingsSecured I didn't have any back up. But I back everything up now.
No backup, no pity! 😄
Good job Josh
Thanks, Rob 🙏

Great suggestions. I honestly haven't found one that I love, which is why I've been so hesitant to recommend one. I'll keep looking.

nope

In Google, the backup codes, is there a way to renew all the codes just incase a hacker has copied them?
Yes, you can revoke them and request new ones.
Mate: Braxman (watchman privacy also I think ) do not recommend Malware software. Your point of view …?
I'm not a big fan, but if you think that you've downloaded malware accidentally, what other option do you have?
@@AllThingsSecured agree. But not a fan of…? I mostly meant : NOT using an Antivirus is better .

What if I just clicked but don't put any information? Still I'm scared~~
Exactly. And that's where to other tips come in handy. You can run a scan on your device to see if anything happened.
Can you do a video help us Canadians sadly we cannot freeze our credit or use delete me
I believe you can use DeleteMe: international.joindeleteme.com
I clicked a link, it prompted me to enter bank login. I refused and closed immediately. Is there ant risk?
As long as you didn't give your info, you must be safe
