omg I love seeing your journey through aerobatic flying! love the old photos of you growing up being mentored by patty! what a cool and unique experience
So cool! I love all the aerobatic flying in this one! Plus all the memories of you and Patty at Oshkosh! You were so little at your first Oshkosh, but only a few years later you were sitting next to Patty driving down the flight line!
Cool video Julia! So glad you are able to train with Patty and her team. I remember meeting you when you were just a little punk at Oshkosh when I was crewing for Patty with Andy! Ha! I hope to see you performing on the airshow circuit one day soon!
This is honestly so cool! I enjoyed watching it as I'm a little interested in eventually doing aerobatics too. Also just wondering about the purple and yellow plane in the hangar. Someone gave me what look like an RC version of it years ago and I flew it for a while so I'm pretty curious what it is.
Wow! that is AWESOME video with that gyrosteady camera, some of the best and enjoyable shots I’ve seen, thanks! Makes me wanna start aerobatics course! That Extra300 seems amazing! Price/hr?
The prices for Patty’s school are listed on her website - www.PattyWagstaff.com listed under the aerobatic school tab! Prices vary based on flying with her or one of her school’s CFIs!
Nicely done video! I ran across your video while I was watching some of Patty's stuff. Great that you mentioned IAC's website and out of curiosity, have you joined IAC or our Chapter 1 here in Illinois?
I’ve been an IAC member since 2005! I think I’m on the email list for Chapter 1 - I know I’m connected with some of the members. Would love to get more involved with the chapter!
when you compete are there minimum and maximum altitudes you fly at? what's the "sweet spot" if there is one... or I guess what's your starting/base altitude to begin your circuit? is that even a thing? I have no idea what I'm talking about! lol
We can’t go below 1500AGL for aerobatics per the FAA unless you have a waiver. For competition, in the lower levels the floor is 1500AGL and the top of the box is 3500 AGL. So you have to stay within those altitudes for the whole sequence. It depends on the sequence where you enter! There’s a lot involved 🤗

So awesome! Learning from the best! I start my first aerobatics lesson tomorrow here in Melbourne :)
This is pretty badass

Solid PWAS product placement
Hey, is it there any way a person can make a living out of aerobatic flying? Have a good one.
What is your favorite maneuver to perform and why? What’s a maneuver you have not yet learned but is on your bucket list to perform?
My favorite is the hammerhead! Especially with some rolls on the up line 😊 Haven’t done tail slides or tumbles, but they’re both on the list!
