Congrats on the huge brown! Awesome video and way to keep that fish in the water as much as possible. Tight lines my friend!

If it was caught in southeast MN, highly unlikely to be a hatchery fish. Very few Brown Trout are stocked in SE MN and only in a few streams, most of which are around Preston-Lanesboro area. Probably 90% of Brown Trout there are wild naturally reproducing fish.

Insane fish man! I lived in southern mn for two years and was never able to find any larger than 15-16 inches. That’s impressive.

Have caught alot of 18-23" But it seems the 24 & up are much rarer, maybe an age thing,& under fished streams. Our group have caught up to 27" and I have observed afew that we estimated to be 28-31 during the hex hatches feeding along side smallies and other roughfish eating notjing but the huge mayflies
And yes,I am familiar with browns over 30" having fished lake Michigan tributarys for decades. Not even bringing out the camera for fish under 33" back in the early 2000's when they were running really large.36" were the largest landed, but observed and lost "much"larger.

Can you do a tutorial how to fish with the rapala? I’m just on the other side of the big river from you and have always fished with spinners but trying to switch it up for some bigger fish.
