I really enjoyed the city trip videos you uploaded a while ago too man, I too love these kind of videos. That Blacklace album is such a typical Mausoleum release, haha. Unknown band, cheap album and nothing ground breaking. Very cheesy, but I love that band. Its like a less aggressive version of Bitch.
Awesome video, love seeing the Port of Antwerp. The buildings in the beginning are majestic. I also love seeing what is inside the record store overseas, very fascinating. Great video. and I know I just said this in our chat.. but that Sodom rules.
I always have to visit foreign record stores, who knows what treasures they hold! I like traveling too, and Europe has a lot of beautiful cities. Even some cities here in the Netherland are old and "majestic", hahaha.
Looks like a nice city. Some nice finds as well. That dedicated rock one looked ace, sounds like you've found yourself a useful go to if they do free shipping. Always enjoy these out and about videos.
0:54 Nore like "Boy, werp there record stores, amirite?' :D Rocking Bull seems like a shop I need to check out. I did expect to see some Mausoleum releases, so i's cool that the first one you showed was from there. Nice grab on Toranaga there (even if it is a bootleg).
Since you buy so many CDs, you really might wanna check out Rocking Bull! Especially since their service favors people in Europe. They even wanna hold back an item for you if you don't reach the free shipping cost, until you order something else and do reach it! I don't really mind CD boots, as long as the quality is decent and the price is cheap. If I buy something and afterwards find out its a fakey, then yeah, I'd be pissed...
Nice one! I like these kind of videos, especially when filmed somewhere in Europe. The chances are higher for me to go there one time, hehe... I still have my OG Toranaga records. I like the debut but the "God´s Gift" album is a little better imo. I saw them with Metal Church and Saxon back in 1990, way befor you were born, haha... and that comes from me, one of the younger members of the VC... The Sodom CD must be a bootleg, it has to my knowlege never been released as a standalone CD, always in combination with "Obsessed by Cruelty". I wonder if the Black Lace album is a little warped after being in the shrink for so many years. That happened to me with a couple of sealed records that I bought years ago.
I might open up the Blacklace album on camera. I can already see some tiny bends in the cover itself, so I hope for the best. It was very cheap anyway, haha. I only heard Bastard Ballads so far, so I'll definitely check out some more Toranaga. Good to know you had fun while I wasn't even a sperm cell yet, haha. Chances are small I'll ever travel outside Europe anyway. You got some good stores around your area?
Love when you do these videos because you do them very well. I've not been to Antwerp but I've been to Belgium. Nice finds. I've seen that Black Lace album shown before but not heard it. That music on the video sounded like Dave Menneketi from Y&T 🤔
Very nice to hear you enjoy these videos man, they take me the most effort. Antwerp has definitely the most record stores of the Belgium cities I've seen, hell, most cities I've visited in general! Blacklace is fun, nothing special. Just another one of those Mausoleum releases. The music in the background is the band Shooting Star.
Hi Thomas!!! cool trip to Antwerp, got the chance to visit the city a couple of years during my trip to that part of the continent, beautiful place and country too.... however, had no idea there are so many record stores there, it could have made my visit even better, Rocking Bulls seems the place to go.... Also cool additions to the collection. cheers and be well
A trip to this part of the world is a good one Cristian, we have a lot of beautiful cities here. I'm very blessed to have visited some nice places here as well, Italy is my favorite country! And before I go on a trip, I always check if there are record stores around, hahaha. It makes a visit even better for us collectors! Records are the best souvenirs. Cheers!
Antwerp looks like a beautiful city & somewhere I’d really like to visit myself & I’d definitely have to pop in ‘The Rocking Bull’. Made up that you found the ‘Toranaga’ debut ep CD… fantastic release! Always good to see you Thomas!🤘🏻
It really was a beautiful city man, I love the old buildings and momuments, stuff like that. Rocking Bul is a must! I don't know if they ship to the UK but definitely check out their webshop too man. Thanks to you I got that Toranaga album! Cheers Marc 🤘
Antwerp looks nice, never been myself (as I've never been outside of England!). But if I ever went least I know where to go to get some good albums! Nice Sodom pickup, I'm sure you can get that album with an EP in a reissue. I would more likely pick that version up if can! Great vid Tom, I see you're getting close to 1K! 🤘🤘
I'd love to visit the UK some time, never been there myself. I think a lot of places are more accesible for me simply because of the Euro currenty. You gotta take a nice holiday some time man, haha. I know most of the Sodom CDs come with the EP and the Obsessed album together, this is a simple bootleg. Already got that one on vinyl but I totally get it, get more music out of your bucks! It will probably take some more time before I actually get to 1K, hehe.
@@mercyfulmetal7324 Ah yeah man! You defiantly should come to the UK if you can, would be awesome to meet up! Ahh yeah that's understandable, plus it's all in one area you know. You don't have to cross any water to get anywhere. Ha Yeah, I know man. Especially the fact we haven't had a holiday since 2016, and some recent events we feel the time is right. But whether we will I don't know. Ah yeah ok man, yeah I wasn't sure on which version it was. But that's cool it's a standalone boot that only has the album on. Ah ok that's fair enough man, I get that. I probably would get the one with both as it's more songs. Haha, you never know man! 1K here you come! 😁🤘🤘
Lovely city indeed, really enjoyed it! It was a huge surprise to find so many record stores in there. Also a lot of comic/geek stores if you like that, haha. I forgot to include those in the video. Cheers Marty 🤘
Cool video, Thomas. I particularly loved the 80's cheese soundtrack! Antwerp looks like a great city and it's cool they have so many record shops, but there's no doubt that The Rock Bull definitely looks like the next of the bunch for metalheads like us! I'll take a look on their website. Enjoy your new spins, dude! Cheers! 🤘
Free shipping within Europe over only 40 euros, definitely worth checking them out! Hope you find something in there, they were very nice people. Also recommended city to visit one day. I have visited more places in Belgium, they have some really nice cities. None with so many record stores however, haha.
Cool video mate, the cheesy 80s tunes really helped haha Rocking Bull looks great, their website a bit full on so going to spend some time with that one in the evening and see what I can find. 🤘
Bedankt man, Cool video! Goede tips. I will check the website of the rockin bull. During the video I saw some interesting stuff. I might also go there if I have the time, it is not far.
Hi Thomas, hope alls good man. Enjoyed this video a lot. Good to hear you had fun and picked up some class stuff too. It makes me wanna go hunting, I havent done a proper tour of my local record shops for months. Superb score with the sealed copy of that Blacklace lp, I agree mate...its a solid fun HM record! Nice one.
All good, you too hopefully. It was a short but fun trip for sure! Do you have some good shops around? I myself too love to see other record stores. Blacklace is great, their debut is too.
@@mercyfulmetal7324 There 's three record shops I call into here in Belfast city centre, its been slim pickings for a while but always worth calling in to see if anything good has come in. Ya never know when your going to get lucky! All the best man.
Antwerpen is een mooie stad. Ben er een paar keer geweest, maar eigenlijk nog nooit om platenzaken te bezoeken. Maar dat blijkt dus ook de moeite waard. Nice. The Rocking Bull lijkt me een toffe zaak. Toffe video!
Great digging trip. Toranaga and Sodom is great stuff 🤘I was lucky to find them on vinyl over here. Sodom cost me a fair bit but I got some refund as it had a small warp
You mean an original of that Sodom? Insane! I think even the latest reissues are getting harder to get now, but thats the case with a lot of stuff lately. I do hope to find that Toranaga album on vinyl too one day! Cheers Brendan 🤘
My local shop has Toranaga Gods Gift on vinyl, it was on my list to check it out. Now that I see you bought that one I will get it this coming weekend. I really dig your videos🤘
Have not heard that Toranaga album yet, but if it is anything like the debut I'd pick it up! If you get it in, let me know what you thought of it! Cheers man 🤘
Yeah man, I think jazz was the most common genre I saw there. Maybe not as much rock/metal but I was quite satisfied. I wish to travel to the UK one day but man, whatever is going right now, I'll wait, haha.
@@mercyfulmetal7324 I like your videos, you have good quality, and there are many of my favorite releases in the collection. (Sorry if I'm writing incorrectly, or it's unclear, I don't speak English)
I'll probably won't do a complete vinyl showcase, that would be way too much. But if you have a specific topic, like albums from a certain genre or country or whatever, I could do that, please let me know!
Hi Mercyful Metal
Cool thank you for your very nice video on my country yes there are nice vinyl shops here and good beers 🤘🤘🤘
Fantastic video! Love the tour of the shops, especially that last one. That Mausoleum LP looks like fun!
