Top quality update Thomas. Twisted Sister are almost anti-glam. They're proper HM though. I think those commercial songs they do are a good example of ones which put people off them, but work well in the context of an album. Cool to see some Anthem, Sinner and Armored Saint. The background music is cool, don't think I've checked out that band, but heard the name. Enjoy spinning.
That ‘Twisted Sister’ album… along with ‘Stay Hungry’… were 2 of the gateway albums for me & my friends on our journey into Metal… & I still love them to this day! I have that ‘Sinner’ album on vinyl myself! It’s the only album I own by them… but I enjoy it! Nice pickups there Thomas!🤘🏻
Twisted Sister is such a good gateway into heavy metal. Stay Hungry is my favorite so far. Dangerous Charm would be the last album I imagine you holding up, hahaha. I know you like a little cheese every now and then, but it's the complete opposite of the dirty 'orrible cavernous pungent death metal you like, lol. Hope you're all good Marc 🤘
Great update mate. I’m a big fan of TS, they were one of the first heavy bands I listened to as a teenager. I have all of their studio albums on OG vinyl 🤘🤘cheers
I was looking all over the city for some more Twisted Sister, but all I could find was Come Out. I thought it would be easier to find their stuff! I'll definitely be looking for their other albums, the hunt is on! Hope you're doing well Brendan 🤘
I love how you're lecturing me on Twisted Sister, knowing your usual stuff, hahaha. I've visited all the local shops but this one was all I could find. Indeed, the first four is what I'm going for!
Hi Thomas, good to see ya man! Class vid. Great to have another SMF in the VC! That TS record was the album that turned me on to HM music back in my last year of primary school. Best live band I've ever seen too. Hope yer well mate, superb stuff! Play it Loud...Mutha!!!!😊
Really digging TS so far man, great band! Now I'm on the hunt for more of their stuff, Come Out was all I could find locally. Hope you're doing well Jason 🤘
My friend is a huge fan of twisted sister.he just find a live record yesterday in a trip we do two hours from our area.and I bought Testament low LP. you got a really good one there Altar.that is a amazing album.
@@mercyfulmetal7324 It's a clamshell box called "Born to Rock The Noise Years 84-87" and it has the albums 'Danger Zone', 'Touch of Sin', 'Comin Out Fighting' and 'Dangerous Charm' included in it (the simple card CD sleeves), with a little booklet.
Thinking about it, I really am not buying a lot of extreme stuff lately. Those moods really come and go. It may sound crazy but the colder the weather will get, the more I'm in the mood for extreme stuff.
I've mostly been listening to Twisted Sister and some other traditional stuff, as well as the non metal stuff I'll show in the next video. Oh, I'll give the Deicide debut some spins though, that's a summer album for me, lol
Killer update Thomas. I have that Armoured Saint albun but need to listen to it more. Twisted Sisters Come Out and Play is a decent album, the Leader of The Pack cover can get in the bin though. Cheers
Cheers James. I definitely need more Twisted Sister, really fallen in love with that band this year. Come Out and Play has some hits and misses, I'm really after Stay Hungry and the debut!
Through out the years, many people mistakenly put TS in that standard "glam" category just because of an anthemic single or visuals. Not the case. TS are a solid HEAVY METAL/USPM band, great organic production and Dees vocals are unique. Big TS fan. Cheers
Yeah man, I am totally sold! Really missjudged those guys, they're fantastic. They do have sone glammy songs, but the majority is indeed solid heavy metal with some USPM bangers in there. I am definitely going to pick up more of their stuff. Cheers 🤘
Twisted Sister...come out and play, Twisted Sister...COME OUT AND PLAY, awesome record!! We already talked about it but that Stryper rips. Dying laughing!! Flat Earth!! hahaha Best, I got it! That Anthem looks rad, I will check it out. The album art on the Rosa Negra looks rad. Never heard of Sinner, but I dig that cheesy artwork, gives it character. Steeler is awesome, I will listen to it later tonight. Piss yellow vinyl!!! yessssssss. I hate it to lmao. Great update Thomas!
If you like cheesy melodic metal, you gotta check out Sinner. Also, Anthem rocks, a good representation of 80s Japanese metal! I'll definitely be looking for the first three Twisted Sister albums! Vinyl, CD, whatever!
Hmm, I'd say Anthem, Loudness, Earthshaker and Bow Wow. My gut says X Japan, even though they are Japan's best, maybe not as commercially succesfull as the others. Perhaps switch them out with Earthshaker? A worthy 5th place anyway. Seikima would be 6th, hahaha.
Stryper shpuld have done a pop up cover like Twisted Sister. I wonder what would be under the surface, a swarm of bees??? I love the old Anthem albums, right up there with old Loudness, sometimes even better. My fave at the moment is "No Smoke without a Fire" from 1990. I´m late watching this, so what do you think about the Saint album? I thought more about the fall, meeting up. I´ll have to save up some money first, hahaha.... Seriously, sometimes in October would be nice.
Dude, October would totally work for me! Would be great to head out to Germany and meet! We have to go to a city that has a lot of good record stores of course, do you know some? Anthem is a classic Japanese band, perfect example of the 80s sound of Japan! By the time October rolls by, send me a mail!
Hi Thomas!! cool and killer vinyl haul.... and kind of a surprise seeing you picking those classic 80's rock albums. Twisted and Stryper too. To me the best TS release is "Under the Blade", it's heavier and more in your face and not super produced like "Stay Hungry". Fun to se you showing Stryper and having on the background some Dutch Death Metal..... Btw do you now Genocide (japanese band) watched their KIT performance, killer band. cheers and be well
Love me some Stryper! Twisted Sister was a huge surprise for me, Stay Hungry is my favorite so far! Hahaha, Altar really is the complete opposite of Styper, aren't they! It was unintentional. Never heard Genocide but I've definitely seen that album! Will check it out! Cheers Cristian 🤘
That's a hard one. I think Loudness for the 80s and Anthem for the more recent releases. However Anthem more represents that Japanese heavy metal style.
I don't really care for Come Out and Play but I love the early raw twisted sister sound. The documentary We Are Twisted Fcking Sister about the early days is worth watching if you have access. Stryper have way to much cheese for me, Sunday school metal that's way too sickly Sweet (pun intended) for me. TS, Sinner, Armored Saint, good to see some mainstream metal finding its way into your collection! Man cannot live by obscure sh1t alone lol.
You know you're thát kind of metal head when you call Sinner and Armored Saint mainstream, hahaha. I know what you mean man. I'll look up that TS documentary, I love documentaries!
YAC is a belter their second album is good but for me definitely a step down from that one. I've only got a compilation by Twisted Sister but I'm sure I'll grab a couple of albums at some point. Mr Boulder did a good ranking of their albums. Some nice finds here with this lot mate. 🍻 What's going on? You had more subs the last time I looked! 😤🤘🏻

Yes, Altar!!!! Killer album. About time you got to Come Out And Play. The first 4 Twisted Sister are all you need from that band. Cool update. Cheers.
I love how you're lecturing me on Twisted Sister, knowing your usual stuff, hahaha. I've visited all the local shops but this one was all I could find. Indeed, the first four is what I'm going for!

I just picked up a CD boxset of four Sinner albums including that “cheesy” one you showed 🤘
Their stuff is great, I only have one other record of them! I don't have any on CD so a Sinner box set sounds really cool!
