This show was part of a program called assignment 4. It was a political affairs/investigative reports documentary that aired on KRON channel four in San Francisco .
This ia sad. Im from Oakland. I grew up with loving people. Caring men and women. The hustlers had their area where they did their business. Not up and down the street like they do now. I miss how Oakland once was then. We had people who owned their own businesses The Lincoln Theatre Thift shops cafes laundry mats Record shops Piano teachers voice teachers doctors MDs Dentists and shops all up and down 14th streets. Integration and Urban renewal destroyed our economic base. So now the police is bragging about the great job they are doing.
As a Bay Area resident and 52 years old this is a great video. Citizens organize and say "off the pigs" and this video is a great way to see how that lands. The issues w marxism and progressive ideas is seemingly nothing gets done. Oakland is a failed urban experiment. The grift and corruption gutted the place. Sanctuary it def is not

I absolutely loved this! My grandfather was a cop in Oakland during that time, and I was actually able to see his name pop up on the arrest records page 😂😂😂
The officer who has a 'small man' complex was 5 feet and 8 inches tall which isn't short. Maybe 5 feet and 3 inches is short for a modern day male but 5'8" isn't.

Agribusiness as in _"agriculture business"_ . The large scale industrialization and commercialization of agriculture as opposed to smaller family operated farms into more efficient vertically integrated _"factory style"_ corporate farms harnessing the technological advancements in automation with the need for *fewer workers for labor intensive processes* while increasing the overall productive output of arable land through higher crop yields. This serves to simultaneously reduce prices for consumers as farms can now make smaller margins of profit per unit of output but make up for losses by selling larger volumes of goods while expanding newer and niche uses for surplus food products which might otherwise go to waste. I'm not sure if you will see this or not, but do you know if this documentary was funded by the police department or not?

Went straight to west Oakland tho
The part where the men was dwb “driving while black” pulled over by police . That was definitely West Grand and Market
THE TRAIN THE FREEWAY IS STILL THERE!?
Cool !
Wow didn’t change just city changed the fashion that’s it
I thought the train was newer but it’s 49 years old otherwise it’s older than that the freeway over there is like this freeway
The Year I was Born... How old am I?
48 years old, almost 50.
49 now
Buncha forty whiners, or something
That cop sitting in the locker room looks evil
Beautiful city
Compared to present day, Oakland was a better place to live. All the violences was confined to the East and West.
And this is why we fight for reparations for my city and California ✊🏾
Before the Feds invented crack
So basically nothing changed but generations and paint... 🤦🏻♂️
Now people are begging for more police. Go figure.
"Conflict man-age-mint sex son"
“Clean this mess up else we'll all end up in jail
Those test tubes and the scale
Just get it all out of here
Is there gas in the car? “
