I'm looking forward to Silverborn, too - the cover has a dragon on it 😍 I read The Lord of the Rings after I had seen the first film in the cinema. I've never read The Hobbit, just listened to part of a shortened audio version. But I think I own a copy.

You're just guilt tripping me now that I've not read LotR yet 🤣I'm going to be picking them up with the MiddleEarthAThon readalong in September so by the end of the year I should be caught up finally!! The Nevermore book KEEPS getting pushed back. Like what is going on??? I want the scoop! I'm demisexual too!!!!! Ugg I agree with barely keeping up on RUclips. I need to finish editing my vacation vlogs before my backpacking trip and after that it is GO TIME with training for my new job and the start of the school year at a new district, new grades, new classes, etc. It'll be a lot for quite some time before things settle down again so I think Shorty September will come at the perfect time. Quick gratification from short books during a time of the year where I have less time, this year in particular :) I turned 38 in May... it's wild. I feel closer to 40 than being in my 30s.
Im gonna have to give The Hobbit another go! I was listening to it on audio and was enjoying it, but having to listen to all the songs really put me off... So maybe reading physically would be better! If you loved Cant Spell Treason Without Tea, I have to recommend the two Monk and Robot books by Becky Chambers! Such lovely, cozy books and very similar vibes 😊 Do you think youre going to delve more into high fantasy now you've loved LOTR? 🐝 x
