- One last ride for glory across beautiful scenery in the wild places of the world, in 50-year-old cars that weren't even particularly reliable when new. One more time to watch Clarkson and Hammond get on May's nerves. One final hangout with three friends who clearly knew they were very lucky to be creating something wonderful, and lasting.
And now that’s it. No more Grand Tour. And since Freddie Flintoff’s crash in 2022, no more Top Gear either. For the first time in almost quarter of a century, we find ourselves in a world with no Clarksonesque car show on television. No more laddishness. No more woofing at engine noises. No more pub bore banter. No more SENTENCES … that go like THIS.
“Watching the last ever Grand Tour/Top Gear is like having a fantastic evening drinking a few beers, telling stories and laughing at a bar with your best friends but knowing at the end of the night you’ll never see each other again.”
Three improbable idiots who conquered the world...and will be missed.
Thanks for the Years of laughs, arguments, pranks...and comradeship.
There will never be another trio like this.
they go out on their own accord,
thats a power move
Хранит вас бог
God bless them and give them many more
As soon as Brothers in Arms started, that was it. I lost it.
Me too, me too...
Same man, same
Could not have picked a better song for that moment
It was soo unexpected, it was perfect for that scene
😭
Ending the show while they're still at the top of their game.
That's how you do it.
Good times and great memories.
Thanks guys.
Well said
Indeed, always leave them wanting more.
In 2007 my dad sat down to watch top gear botswanna special for the first time together then after the grand tour he passed the day the trailer released i watched this with tears as its a good bye to not only the boys but my dad too 💔 Thanks for all the memories boys
I'm sorry for your loss bro
Watched this many times. I tell the wife, I'll recover soon...I promise.
It’ll take me a lot to recover from this
I won’t ! This is the only TV I watch. I Just have to watch everything over again.
@@JOERANSTRAIGHT You're a wise man. Good plan. I'll do that too. Top Tip there! 🙂
I'm haveing a really hard time doing my self I'm um 😢 um
😢
It’s the end of a era for all of those who grew up with top gear and grand tour 😢😢 just the saddest thing in history one last time the trio will ever be together
I agree !So much bonding with my two sons with the show…. My son told me Dad it like having your friends go away and you never get to see them again.
The greatest ending to any show ever made
There will never be another trio like these on tv ever again, thanks guys for everything
Proper blokes like these wouldn't get anywhere on tv these days . It's the end of a era in many ways
Was smiling for most of the episode, but then this began and soon I was fighting back tears. Then came the handshake...and I broke
You made me laugh for 22 years, tonight you made me cry. You couldn’t have chosen a better place, better words and better musics.
Thank you for making it, it means a lot.
Brothers in Arms… This ending was quietly euphoric. As perfect a way to say goodbye as we could ever hope for. Thanks for all the years of entertainment Jezza, Hamster and Captain Slow!
Brothers in arms was the utterly perfect song for this scene. I broke a little bit when I heard the synth and realized what they’d done.
It was so, so, so much more…than a car show…
Richard going “oh god I think that’s it” seeing the island a realizing that’s the end 😢
Its like saying last goobye to a true friend
I'm sure this was probably already said, but this was more than a show about cars. This was about adventures with some good friends. Thanks for everything, gentlemen.
Those hand shakes! “Nice work lads”
Manly handshakes. Not bs girl hugs. Perfect
@@chrisbarker3034 hugs for the crew though… that’s fair
A proper British send off
Teared up the moment Brothers in Arms started
Hammond touched the tree like greeting an old friend
The perfect ending to send off this legendary show
When they played Brothers In Arms by Dier Straights is when I went - a trio that will never be topped
The music made it even more special. Especially this last 5 mins
It was good while it lasted boys. They retired full honors, no complaints, and thanks for the endless car content.
This broke me into pieces. I don't cry for anything, but this just opened up all emotions at the same time😢
Brothers in arms and My sweet Lord........these guys went right to the core of what camaraderie really means. What a great choice of music to bow out to. So glad that I lived through the Top Gear and GT era...............as Jezza says, "you can keep your electric cars". Too right brother.
Love you all😢😢😢
They started when I was born, I have spent my entire life watching them, I’m gonna miss it
I'm gonna miss you lads, this is a moment in history that will never happen again. I'm just glad I'm alive to see it.
Watched the Trio for 20+ years and they will be missed! Thanks Guy!
I am happy to have a chance to witness this story unfold, even more happy to see my son becoming huge fan from early days. No matter we've been living in different counties last 15 years - most of my sons life - we are ALWAYS able to discuss the current series and reflect and laugh about all our favorite ones. History of global TV in the making, best personalities ever. Hats off to Jezza, Hamster and May. You will be missed
Was only 2 when they started. I've learnt to walk, talk, go all the way through school, uni and start my career and family in the time these guys have been doing this. I owe a lot to them for everything they've done. Thanks chap's, may your legacy stand forever 🫡
It’s what’s called a full circle. Ended the last special at the place where they did their first special. A magnificent ending to a magnificent show which has made the trio immortal!
I grew up watching these 3 on Top Gear with my dad. Than I watched them on The Grand Tour. These 3 shared a chemistry that no other trio or show has managed to replicate. They will be missed.
Which show is this?
@@dssquad1331 The Grand Tour
This actually broke me. And by the looks of things. Many of you too.
We laughed with you, we cried with you, we were excited with you. We had goosebumps. We always looked forward to seeing you. Your specials have always accompanied me for more than 2 decades...... We knew it would be the last trip but WE ARE STILL NOT READY FOR IT!!!!! God, I thank you, I thank you so much. You saved me many rainy days. I will miss you so much...... Thank you, thank you for all the beautiful, funny but also emotional moments!!! THANK YOU..... Love you guys 🥹🥺♥️🚘
I've tried to watch the " other " series with different people trying to imitate these 3 and couldn't watch , but these guys made the show very much enjoyable . Gonna miss these guys . Thanks for the memories
What an ending! That really moved me and touched me. I'm going to miss the 3 of them. I grew up with them since first year infant class.
Nothing will be the same without James & Richard & James… Thanks for the story, will miss you Guys a lot. It’s not repelcable at all
They couldn't have picked a better song for this
Im only 15 but these guys were a part of my childhood and im genuinly sad now. They will be missed. I swear im.not crying i just have allergies
Just as it fits in "out where the buses don't run" in that Miami Vice episode, it fits perfectly here. They will be missed.
This hits me in phases everytime. But at the end, I always have a smiling face knowing the trio got the end they deserve
Brothers in Arms really set that tone. Farewell guys. Thank you.
That's how make a grown man cry 🥲😊
End of an era, “plays brothers in arms” - enough to make any grown man shed a tear. Thanks for the laughs & memories gents
I watched you guys since you hit U.S shores in 2002 followed every episode and every episode of grand tour. The gearhead world is gonna miss you three. Thank you J’ezza, Hamster and Captain Slow for 22 great inspirational years of motoring related television. YOULL BE MISSED!
Cried like never before...
One of my most cherished moments!! One of my favourite TV show!! An age has come to an end, my heart says they will be back like a favourite moment of life!! But alas all good things come to an end
Nothing and noone will ever top these guys.
Goddamn it, it really hurts, folks.
Thanks for the years of laughs and entertainment. "Where do we go from here?" is the most common question asked after a epic adventure. My friend asked that question after hanging out a few summers ago. I told him "Im gonna go home. Take a shower, eat a meal and go to bed. Tomorrow will be business as usual".
I want you to know, you are also adored in Russia, I grew up on your programs, sobbing like a girl!
Thanks to you, I became a fan of cars, your love for cars was passed on to me!
WHO HERE has watched this TOO MANY TIMES now? I know I have...
Thank you, Jeremy, Richard and James for all the years, laughter and unending knowledge you all so kindly shared with the rest of us.there will never be another trio like you guys and I consider it a privilege to have had you all in my life.god bless and thank you with all my heart.
La France est reconnaissante ❤🔥🤝🫡
Merci pour votre lumière durant mon enfance❤
France Love You Jeremy, James, Richard🤙
I guess we knew this day would come. Just didn't think I'd be cutting onions all day.
No puede ser que se acabe, después de tantos años y aventuras edtos tipos son de la familia..😢😢😢
Que vuelvan pronto!! Please, come back soon!!!
Will be sorely missed... couldn't watch this without crying....❤❤
Three guys who will forever be remembered as men who had a true passion for cars I grew up watching these guys sad to see it finish tv will never be the same without them ❤
Gentlemen it’s been an honour watching you for a third of my life thank you very much
Greatest TV presenters ever to grace our screens. God bless you guys. Loved every single episode & will really really miss you together 😭
I was 12 when the first episode with the 3 together started,I'm now 35,so i can say they were a part of my life for all of my teen years and a big chunk of adulthood,i have lots of respect for them and i'm gutted that there will not be a new episode to look forward to
Me to !
I've watched every Special with my dad over all those years and watched every GT as well together. It was a yearly event for us to watch together. This final episode felt like the end of an era and using the song Experience and followed by Brother in Arms hit it right at home (a Dire Straits song I also know because of my dad). Can't say it didn't hit the feels a bit watching this final episode together.
May getting a bit emotional was also a first. I'm glad we still have Clarksons Farm but this was something special.
Thank you for all the years that you three have done for us Jeremy James and may you will be missed again thank you
The two final songs were so perfect 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Best show ever of 3 best friends
You wil be missed top gear and ended with the grand tour
After this episode, me: the 30aged man crying like a kid. Thanks for everything Legendary trio 😢. Best auto tv show.
Trying to watch this with my left eye tearing up
Im 45 years old and im crying my eyes out 😢😢😢😢😢😢 loved the legends 😢😢😢
I grew up with these guys it’s sad to see them go we will miss you till the very end Godspeed you three
Grand tour had the greatest start to any series (remember Jeremy leaving BBC in the pouring rain and then flying to sunny somewhere in America).
And now an equally great ending.
end is here, we enjoyed it at least.
rip dad
antics road show be next :')
Das beste ende was man sich aussuchen konnte. Habe top gear und the grand tour geliebt.❤😢 habe geweint beim ende😢 die 3 haben mein autoleben geprägt
What an ending one of the most wonderfull ending the end of an era we will mis you 3
Everyone should all go pay respects & tributes to jeremy clarkson richard hammond james may by going to kubu island & celebrate all they did they are the 3 legends the goats of all time.
It is only proper to return to where it all began. From Botswana to One for the road. Surreal indeed.
It has been an honor and a privilege to grow up to you guys thanks
Of couse this may have been a second take as it were, to directly copy the original film, but I'm sure however they approached the island first would have been emotional for them. Thank you guys for your years of entertainment
It's like saying goodbye to a group of friends who have been with you for 20 years
when i heard brothers in arms i didnt know what to do. Thanky you
Havent had the energy to watch the last episode, i told myself if i dont watch it, then it wont end. But i have to watch it out of deep loyal respect for these 3 legends who absolutely became part of my childhood and adulthood. 22 years is no joke, its a lifetime, so I'll do right by them and watch the ending when im ready🤧
Przez 22 lata był to najlepszy program dla mnie oglądany w kółko nie wiem co będę teraz robić ostatnie 10 minut programu klasa dzięki dla Clarksona,Maya i Hammonda 👍🥲🇵🇱 You are de best ever.
Lost part of my life here man
This feels very much like the last time you saw your friend online… I’ve got one in my friends list who’s been gone for 15 years… And I remember their name still.
I believe more men will shed a tear for these three fools and their amazing crew than anything that happens in the real world this year. Thank you for the video!
Watched this about 7-8 times, and on the ninth for some reason I genuinely held back sobbing. Thanks for everything.
Это неповторимое шоу.❤❤❤
Since 2009 i watched it till now am 30 years old more than half of my life amazing show amazing trio am speechless literally i can’t say anything to thank these guys
You’ll be missed 🤝
I started watching when I was 9 years old I’m 32 now so I’ve been following top gear and grand tour since day one. It was the reason I kept my satellite tv subscription and now to be honest I’m not sure I’m keep it or my Amazon prime subscription any more as this was really the only program I watched
The hair dye works wonders for Hammond....will miss you lads thanks for being who you are and taking us round the world :)
These are some of the things what we wish it last forever. Thank you Legends
I am a grown man. With a bitter smile on my face seeing you say goodbye - hope not forever! 🫡
Good bye, thank you for 22 Years. 😢
Спасибо, джентльмены. Вы подарили нам много веселых моментов в нашей короткой жизни.
I don't think these three guys will ever know how much they have meant to us all over the years. I for one will be re-watching everything they've done
@@Jay1980Ti same here I own every season of top gear they did and I recorded and saved all the episodes of the grand tour
Thank you for happy years with TG/GT
Some things & people follow you thro' life without you meeting them but make life good. Thank you boys.
I will miss the banter these guys brought over the years, they brought smiles and laughs to so many people (it’s a shame as I really liked them both on GT and TG) farewell Clarkson, Hammond and May (Jezza, Hamster and Captain Slow if u like)
THANK YOU ❤❤😢😢
I always thought I'd get to meet them tbh. I'm happy I was a part of all of this ❤
