      Just a suggestion. Include the menu system the TV uses, Web OS, native Roku ect. And also let us know how snappy those menus are. Some TV's really sacrifice on menus and the CPU that drives them.
      Thanks!

    Great review. Just ordered the 75inch one. Really want the OLED one, but not in my price range for the size I want. Decided on this one because of the 2.1 HDMIs and 120hz. I know the blacks won’t be perfect, but I’m upgrading from LG 4K UH6030 from 2017. Can’t wait to get it. Great content.

      @@stevencarrier5060 For the $1200.00 price point, really happy with it. The blacks are not perfect, but in a good shaded room, really not issue. I’m primarily using it for my PS5 and some streaming apps. The games look amazing in the Game mode. My only beef has been with the LG ThinQ app. It took a few updates for it to sync with Alexa and their phone app. Picture quality for that size panel is great. Eventually, I will move it into my bedroom upon getting an OLED. But when compared to my 2017 UHD LG, many improvements present. Really happy with it.

    I bought this model on Amazon, my purchase decision was even better by paying in installments and for a 75" tv, but the tv presented large "bleeds" of light at one end, there are huge columns of light from below the screen light to give an image to the entire tv, so it is not comfortable to be watching dark scenes with an incandescent light at the edge of the screen. Maybe it was just bad luck, this week I will return the tv. I still have good taste for a very basic LGq9000 but nice.

  • @tupchurch
    @tupchurch Год назад +1

    I got the 50 inch. It is going into my bedroom so VA will be perfect because I will always be directly in front of it. I chose it for the Freesync, there are not many options for this so I had to get the LG 80 Class to avoid spending a fortune. It was $484 open box excellent condition at my Best Buy. Hopefully if I am gaming and I get dips below 60 fps this TV will stay in sync and I won't even notice it. Being a slave to 60 Hz Vsync is no way to live. It should arrive tomorrow, I am excited.

    This is pretty much the best 50" $500-ish TV to use as a big screen 120hz PC gaming monitor because the Samsung QN80 uses a 60hz panel in the 50 inch version and the Sony X85K can't display 4K 120Hz with 4:4:4 chroma, and the Hisense U7k doesn't come in a 50". The U7K 55" is just big enough to cause problems with off angle viewing, I know because I tried one and if the U7K came in a 43" and 50" they'd be perfect PC gaming displays.

    I was on the market for a 65 inch 4k LED. It was between the Hisense U7H (was 699 at Costco and went up the 750 Costco -768 amazon) , the Hisense U8H (928 currently at Amazon) and the LG QNED80 (800 at amazon). I was about to the go for the Hisense U8H this week BUT saw how the LG QNED80 at display at my Costco and it actually looked pretty good and I think I would be happy with it for a bit. Ordered today and saved myself a little bit of money. I added the 4 yr protection plan as well for about 78. Yes no Dolby Vision BUT I think with the price and quality of the LG I'm good. Purchased the qned80 in 75" . Tv has horrendous bleedthrough during hdr playback. Could not fix this with any setting change. The remote is horrible and web os plain sucks! Can't seem to find a setting to default to hdmi on power on. Have to manually select the only hdmi input I use. Webos doesn't even have espn+... Not going to lie, the picture quality is excellent and I would say it is more impressive than my Hisense U7G for movies and liveTV. I can't say that it handles motion as well as I was hoping. Baseballs leave a trail ,as do footballs and hockey players... dissatisfied overall, but I guess you need to spend more for to meet my expectations. I see several televisions daily in the field. I wish I went with Sony,Samsung, or another Hisense for the room I put this LG in. Also, I cannot get LG to produce Dolby or DTS through optical. I have to use an hdmi switch,and optical out from there. VERY ANNOYING if you have an older av receiver without HDMI.LG, life is good, but it's better without LG. either way. I appreciate your reviews Steve,and I consider you the best out there when it comes to television reviews!

      @chriss1399 LG C1 is an awesome TV for gaming and the C1/C2 have more features for gaming than almost any TV. But Sony and Samsung models have better upscaling and utilize VRR better as well and currently the Samsung S95B has the best brightness and vibrant picture while the Sony A95K has the best cinematic picture (both more expensive than the C1). If you want a good step up the C1 is great but right now I think my S95B is the best gaming TV available. I consistently get 65-90fps on games like GOW Ragnarok and Spiderman Miles Morales in fidelity/raytracing mode which both cap at 40fps without VRR.

I thought local dimming was a feature of TV's with full-array LED backlighting, which (for lack of a better term) is the 'opposite' of edge-lit illumination tech.
