- Super easy, quick and cheap this revamp of old mismatched candleholders gives them a new lease of life! Rub'nBuff has always been a firm favourite of mine as it's so easy to use, offers great coverage and wears extremely well. These candleholders had been painted several times as my colour schemes changed and were in need of another makeover. Now they are perfect for not just the Christmas table but all year round! Well that's until their next reincarnation!!

I use it on all kinds of metal items. I have used it on wood but it would probably work on that too.

I’ve used rub and buff on many small projects, but the last project was a vintage rusted brass faux bamboo floor lamp. It was tired and now it looks refreshed.

I’m so happy I watched this👍👍 I’m a very new user of Rub n Buff. I’ve bought Gold Leaf and Antique Good. I like the colors, however, they aren’t quite the look I’m going for. My husband is not very fond of my shiny brass candlestick collection (that I love🤪) so, I want to tone down the shine and darken them a just a bit. I’ll look for an even darker shade and try mixing them like you did.

Oooh there are lots of shades in the range Cindy and if you don’t buff then it will stay matte. There’s a lovely copper one that I quite often mix in with the golds to darken. Let me know how you get on💛🧡🤎

I use a lot of Sand & Fog that can be found in Homesense 😊
Isn't rub n buff flammable? I am asking because I have this same product and did it with candle holders and am just worried about it being a fire hazard
Did this a year ago and all has been fine😊
