In my travels I think Missouri has the overall best state parks with so many camp sites with water access . I love the oak forests in most of the parks. Snakes can be an issue but just be careful
Pershing State Park is not near Mark Twain Lake. Johnsons Shut-Ins does not have a lake. Bennett Springs does not have a Yert. Get your facts straight before misleading others.

Missouri has some great state parks there are some really good civil war state parks and museums you may want to check out
