My grandma made herself one of those “jewel” purses and carried it for years, it came in a kit with instructions and the jewels were glued on a printed picture on the purse one at a time. The thrift store I volunteer in sold a Trifari 3 pc. set loaded with rhinestones for $20. Sigh. Resellers keep us going, though, I have to say sometimes it hurts.
I collect 1950s jewelry, in particular Red and Green for the holidays. The first time I came across one of the jewelry pictures I was appalled. Apparently it’s a “thing” in rural parts of the USA. I’m still appalled but less so I guess when you consider the number of red and green pieces of Jewelry and Xmas pins I own that I assume are going up in value just based on availability shrinking.
@@kerrydonk8272 Ok, but you have to consider a larger market. I'm not saying that you aren't looking hard because I'm sure you are, but these pieces may exist somewhere else in a different part of country or world. Maybe somewhere else were people just don't like red and green for some reason (the revival sports team wears the colors?) :) I just want everyone to be careful when making these types of statements.
Of course it has value. Value will depend on the piece. Everyone wants a one answer fits all for many questions about value and things just don't work that way. It's like asking is my car valuable? It will depend on many factors :) Does that help?

I have a Kit Pleasant Company doll. She is in really good condition and I also have a few original outfits and the original bed. I don’t know if she’s worth anything and I don’t want to sell her for less than she’s actually worth. And I can’t afford an appraisal. I’d love to know what you think
Have you even checked my Specials page to see how much an appraisal costs? I can help you but need to see the doll to verify what you really have. Plus the factors that determine value.
Love me some you Lori, God bless you and your family with peace and love in abundance
The thrift store I volunteer in sold a Trifari 3 pc. set loaded with rhinestones for $20. Sigh. Resellers keep us going, though, I have to say sometimes it hurts.
I help a lot of thrift stores too.
Why do you think availability is shrinking?
@@DrLoriV Because I’ve noticed fewer and fewer Red and Green pins, earrings and necklaces when I’m out looking.
You look beautiful in white ✌️
Thank you
You're welcome!
Does clip-on costume jewelry have value I'm afraid to buy it because people don't use clip-ons what do you think???
Of course it has value. Value will depend on the piece. Everyone wants a one answer fits all for many questions about value and things just don't work that way. It's like asking is my car valuable? It will depend on many factors :) Does that help?
Hi doc!
Hi Dr Lori

A Merry Christmas 🎄 a blessed & Happy New Year too ❤️

Happy holidays!
I was surprised on the ship in a bottle’s value 🌞
Thank you! Xxxs Gbu
Rats! I had a cheese server listed on ebay forever. It was pink, European, and very pretty. I didn't know to use the word "server" though. Had to put it on deep sale and I hope it went to a good home.
I moved to a rich area and thrift store prices are crazy high now.
Got to know what you are selling :) Keep watching my vids!
Cool :)
