Quick Note: The Pokemon Ranger mentions that he found the egg within the Relic Castle, where the Volcarona was found. Does still makes me wonder why the ranger conveniently has the egg near the P2 lab in the first place. The same building has a Shady Man who you can sell Rare Bones too, so maybe it is a research home near the lab.

hey! idk if anyone noticed, but genesect's four drives kinda reflect the four "main" legendaries from unova. douse is keldeo, shock is zekrom, burn is reshiram, and freeze is kyurem!
and keldeo being the farthest stretch obv, but he is the main dude of his quartet
You can access Route 17 and 18 in the first games too
Edit: I remember seeing a theory that Genesect may be related to the Paras line in the past, and it was always more believable than Kabutops
I hope that we get Unova3 instead of Legends since all that happened in the past that's unclear is what Dragon looked like. The events of PLA were Giratina attempting to revolt and the creation of the first Pokedex, so if we were to get Legends Unova it would likely feature the founding of the first Pokemon League and not be set in the ancient past. Its more likely establishing this system would bring the attention of the Swords of Justice and end with Keldeo being born/inducted as their apprentice.
I remember clearing Unova elite 4 with Larvesta in my party

I wonder if Volcarona's heat is what caused Paras to become Dwebble. If the mushrooms dried out and withered away, and then the unburdened bug had to find shelter from the heat so it hollowed out a rock and the rest was history.
Perhaps after Volcarona caused desertification, it was hunted to near extinction, thus explaining its rarity, and Team Plasma needing to have the egg surrounded by all the lab security?
So has anyone thought about the next Legends game being set in the future to mirror the rest of the current past/future theme? Because, there's a potential plot twist I guess

Armaldo and Anorith were always my guess for the genesect precursor. Genesect in high speed form looks quite similar to anorith, while the arm and head shape is quite close to Armaldo.
This theory actually blew my mind!
Genesect needs an ancient paradox form to show us what it looked like back in time :)
Unrelated, but I only just now realized that the types picked for the Genesect drives feel like they support my long-held belief that the original dragon would be Dragon/Water.

I never considered the possibility that Gensect is related to the Paras line but you’ve got a point it’s possible well let’s see what Gamefreak is cooking for us in their next legends project. If that’s related to Unova then they have to show us the original dragon and Gensect past form

Volcarona and Zoroark are the Lucario of gen 5 they are so popular that Zoroark got a regional form and volcarona 2 paradox forms
The shinies of Larvesta and Arceus are super interesting but I don't really know what to do with that information

I made a comment once that got me wondering about genesect and the future paradox Pokémon, and I must wonder if Pokémon like genesect is the origin of the future paradox Pokémon, as if the violet paradox pulls from a specific future, by this theory we ultimately see a glimpse into the future we prevent in BW2 which USUM hints towards, which is really cool

to the genesect argument Im just going to mention Durant. body types are more similar and an accent version of Durant could have been thinner rather than the bulky body we have now.
Genesect was definitely it's own pokemon instead of an ancient version of an existing pokemon

Yeah I don't think there's anything going on between Arceus and Larvesta. I'm also pretty skeptical of there being any time travel-based shenanigans in Unova, considering that we have no evidence of time travel in the region itself.

I'm pretty doubtful that some variant of Team Plasma created Iron Moth. It came from probably thousands of years in the future, if not millions, and Plasma was dismantled probably close to a decade before the events of SV.

I want BW remakes. Not Legends. And not a late sequel which will never happen ever. I don't think we ever know what Genesect's original form was. It is just one of those pokemon who's form will never get to see the light of the day. Same thing as the Original Dragon.
