Some suggestions: Add coarse sea salt when grinding garlic & parsley with mortar & pestle to achieve a finer texture marinade. Add vinegar on high heat around outside of mushrooms allowing majority to evaporate and not soak mushrooms which are effectively little sponges.

Mmm..these were great. I thought the vinegar was going to be too strong - it almost blinded me when I put it in the pan but it worked beautifully. Another use for my white wine vinegar besides salad dressing. Thank you!

I loved them when I made them last night for dinner. I had them and some fresh asparagus. I loved them so much I had them again tonight except towards the end of cooking them I added some pepper flakes and Manchego cheese and served it on rice. My next go is grilled chicken breast and mix it in with mushrooms. Thanks for getting me going!

This according to James Townsend & son on you tube & his videos on colonial America recipies of the 18th & early 19th century & how life was during colonial America!!!!
