I wanted to love it so much. It just is not there. The male soloist just could not produce the higher notes needed to create a more colorful sound. The female soloist needs to memorize, work on intonation, the words, and pitch. Without those key ingredients, you can not be a powerful vocalist. The conductor was moving way too fast, and as a by-product, the orchestra could not keep up with what tempo was being expressed. There was no clear indication on where beat one was being placed. Christopher created this piece to have a variety of both legato and adagio elements that stay within the same emphasis on the eighth note, no matter the tempo. Overall performance could have been much more rehearsed and better executed but overall, it was not horrible for the difficulty of the piece.
that male soloist was fantastic!
A beautiful rendition
Well bless they hearts!
this is so fantastic!
❤
Powerful
Os solos ainda deixam a desejar
Eles cantam "Karyam alech" sendo que o correto é "Eryam". Fora que há muitas notas fora da afinação também.
