Oh no! I suppose they must of only bought it for a year or so, and it's since expired. This was part of an April Fools joke Godot themselves made, originally.
@@elatronion Are there any games about Godette? I noticed some game demos that had a small Godette in Gdquest’s 4.0 video, but their link to access their demos from the video didn’t work. Also, I saw that the banner for Godot’s Mastodon had some kind of game with small Godette. Searching the asset store for “Godette” just gave me a 2D rig of her. Searching the web just to me to the renaming to Godette April Fools joke.
@@user-S853 Those are some fantastic questions! GDQuest's "Godette" character is actually called Sophia, and I believe was commissioned for his interactive beginner friendly course he kickstarted, but don't quote me on that. It's possible that the repo has migrated since, here's a link to Sophia and all other 3D character he commissioned, completely open source: github.com/gdquest-demos/3D-Characters-Repository
Turn out coding in cpp/c on Linux is a pain in the ass, i just tried and just getting key press was a nightmare, i would need a good tutorial on how to use ncurses or some other libraries on linux and how to incorporate them to the code.
C/C++ on Linux is actually quite bliss compared to OSes such as Windows. It's just that C and C++, in general, are quite challenging languages. In the end, you need to write code that communicates with the operating system, this is why libraries exists that have already done that step for you. Some libraries even create dynamic functions that execute differently based on the OS. Microsoft's Windows uses "explorer.exe" and Linux uses "Xorg" or "Wayland". And each will be communicated with differently. Not to mention various drivers and APIs. Use libraries such as SDL or GLFW if you want to create windowed applications. Or, if you are creating a terminal application, as you mentioned, ncurses. After a quick search on RUclips, I found a video by "Casual Coder" who may be able to help you: ruclips.net/video/vfNI0n5vFLE/видео.html
