Last year in France 134 women were killed by their current or former partners. Tackling the rate of femicide was one of Emmanuel Macron’s pledges when he came to power in 2017. Since then various measures have been put in place to bring that number down but rights groups maintain that too many women are still victims of fatal violence. Here’s the moving testimony of one woman who escaped that fate.

The law is very accommodating to these men 🙄 Always ensuring that he gets out after stewing in H8 for some years so he has a chance to find her and try again. Awwww. So sweet, never give up 💀😑

I mean, it’s good that she’s just trying to let go of the situation and not harboring anger towards him. I definitely don’t think 15 years is enough, but hopefully he’ll get some kind of therapy. He’s clearly got some demons to exorcise. Strong woman!
