This looks so nice and slick... i find that "metal boxes" are kinda cool for rugged stuff like a steel factory, but some high tech factories really suit this style a lot more.
I love these types of videos, like this and the speed build video, because you can see the process of the build. Even better with your commentary! Also, I'd love a video about colors, e.g. which types of buildings to color.

You can sometimes use a pillar on top of z-fighting structures to replace one of the fighting parts. Replace it by attaching it to the bottom of the pillar, instead of to the other fighting parts, and then nudge it into place. This can stop the z-fighting.
This was amazing ! Seeing what you do with this is just insane ! I do like the speed, but on the otherhand it sometimes is hard to see what you are doing at this speed. We need more of this !

Have you considered a video series where you take save files from viewers / subs / patreons and upgrade one of their factory locations at request while providing comentary? Some sort of "pimp my ride", satisfactory edition
I've always hated Minecraft in the normal game mode, but I've put thousands of hours into the Creative mode. It's genuinely nice to see someone else just play in the Creative setting and remove the gameplay restrictions, allowing you to focus on the aesthetics. I respect that a lot.
I turn it on for doing aestetic then flip it back off when I go to build a new factory that way I don't feel like I'm cheating and can get the feeling of completing accomplishments

Goodness.. I was about to start working on getting my 1.0 restart save hooked up on coal power when I came across this video. Kinda hypnotic watching that transformation.
The issue I have is that when I put anything up the goes beyond 30 minutes then I get axed for it and the unedited version of this would be 3 hours long lmao! Sorry for your eyes though! I appreciate the feedback also!

Amazing content Fluxo. I just started 1.0 and realized I still have lots to learn in terms of factory design. This video was extremely helpful in giving ideas for breaking up the monotomy, and above all, to be creative.
I've always found it hard to find a building style that i liked. Although my factories always look like the starting version of what you just redesigned into a completely new building. I really find you building style inspirational, and will try to implement it into my own builds. Cheers!

One thing I personally have to say, Don't worry about your building early game, focus on getting to at least the start of tier 5 or 6, getting the jetpack is not nessisary but could be good to help building

Honestly I love the boxy utilitarian look of the default factory walls. The people that decorate their factories to look like futuristic space ships are silly imo, but to each their own.
I like this type of fancy looking factory but there is nothing wrong with boxy type factories as well. In fact a lot of real world factories are boxy buildings with a bit of variations.
Every time I see how more experienced Satisfactory players play this game and go about building, my number one takeaway is that I care way too much about space. I have an ingrained desire to make things as compact and space-efficient as possible, and I just can't bring myself to allocate so much extra space for aesthetics. It feels wasted, no matter how much I tell myself that the map is too big for that to ever matter.
Great look. I am still on an organically super-pragmatic build (in another word: ugly), but why do you build Ficsit foundations and then change them to concrete when you can build concrete directly? Or was that not an option yet one year ago when this video was posted? I only just started playing after the 1.0 release, and _now_ you can certainly select which material your build menu defaults to, and of course choose any material for your quickbar.
@@hakonsoreide the ficsit foundation is the best foundation to use to tell you what way the foundation is facing. I use it first for that reason, it helps massively when placing asphalt the most as the centre line on the asphalt is hard to make out when placing them. I don't use a build hotbar as it restricts my thinking as I am creating builds. I much prefer to go into the build menu and scroll through multiple options when building. I have 8,000 hours in this game and now do it as a living so most things I do when building for are for specific reasons.

I love the use of reversed signs. Such a cool detail idea. With the spaced foundations, is that how you did in your last video? Those seemed closer than these.. My hats off to the camera work as well. Ive started teaching myself that cam mod. Not an easy learn.. I really enjoy these videos. 🍻

This is like one of those "Drawing is easy, just follow these steps" Line, Line, circle, finished masterpiece 😂 No but for real that's good looking build, and some good ideas :D I think my problem is more coming up with the ideas than it is the actual execution of the ideas :P Also I think that the reason most people end up with a box is because its a lot easier and less time consuming than building something pretty like this :) Most people want the pretty but dont want to spend the 4 hrs it takes to make a small starter base pop like this :P
Build looks great! How do you prevent z-fighting with all the overlapping foundations? Mine are a flickery mess, even when using the plain concrete foundations etc.

looks great but i would hate to replace the 10k used entities with 250k. both in terms of object limit and performance it always stresses me out. do you have a series on good looking designs that are not that heavy on the system? like the roadblock slopes for examples look great without a heavy performance hit

Meanwhile me still wondering how some objects (foundations) and materials (Ficsit Orange) z-fight but others (concrete, asphalt) apparently don't 🤔
They still kinda do, but because of the texture it's a lot more subtle.
Asphalt does Z-fight, it's just harder to see. paint a crosswalk on clipped asphalt foundations and watch the entire illusion fall apart
