Minecraft is the best selling game ever made, and it's not even close. The closest second is GTA 5, which sold almost 70 million less copies than minecraft. The original super Mario Bros didn't even sell 70 million copies.
But apparently, despite being the best selling game ever made, receiving critical acclaim, it still has negative reviews... - Игры

The thing is about redstone is that its really complicated. Ive spent actual years slowly developing my redstone skills and im still HORRIBLE at it but the thing is none of this stuff was ever truly intended to be made. When they made redstone they made some basic easy fundamentals which bugs and weird update decisions made very difficult to understand. Stuff like tv screens werent ever a real thought in the devs heads until someone made it
True. They never really thought about all the insane stuff redstone could do. They just made a silly little system, and then the community was the one who said "You know what we could do with this?... We could code."
Place block. Make upside down T. Thats probably all Notch was thinking. That and Beast Boy apparently
There are just some people whose brains are more fit for more complex stuff.
Actually, redstone is extremely simple and atomic. Each component in a redstone contraption is pretty plain and insignificant in function.
The complexity comes when you try to combine the different redstone interactive components into a single machine. The bigger the machine, the harder it becomes to make it work.
Just like it is in real life: you wouldn't be scared by a piece of cable or a transistor, but trying to analyse the mind-melting complexity of a micro processor and the functions of it's millions of microscopic transistors is quite a challenge.
It started with the developers wanting to open doors with wiring, and the community was like "wait, we can make logic gates out of these" and made literal computers
Even if mojang shut down “Minecraft server” forever I think the modding community would do just fine with out it.
and the fact that minecraft servers are run through your own computer or server
The only "Mincraft server" are Realms (actual Mojang server) and auth system.
Best thing about this, some Minecraft server dont need authenticated to Mojang. That is why term cracked server exists. Downside of that is you need username password plugins to avoid unauthorised duplicate (i don't know the term) to destroy or grief.
there are a ton of cracked servers that don't need you to authenticate with the mojang servers, so it wouldn't do a lot of harm
@@ricktheweeb5382 for some servers you do need to connect to a mojang server to confirm you own the game

@@pickled_avocado68 yeah I agree
The reason building a calculator in minecraft is so hard is because redstone is very simple and general. This allows you to use it for a lot of things from piston doors, to traps to computers but makes it more complex, the more spesific funktions your build has. This is also one of many reasons why there are so many different playstyles in Minecraft; the game gives you simple tools, an Infininite World and unlimited time to use these simple mechanics to create complex and beautiful things.
Very well said! Yet most people opt to play survival on the Xbox to feed virtual chickens in their wooden huts forever...

Thanks for including me
I've played with freinds many times but it still just gets too stale after a while. I prefer games that give an objective for you to complete over a period of time, so that it is satisfying to do.. I can completely understand why people like the game, but games like terraria and factorio are more enjoyable for me
I've watched a ton Minecraft videos as a kid, but I barely played it myself as there were no objectives in the game. Not until recently when I decided to build a big ass mansion that spreads over a river. Now with a goal I genuinely enjoyed playing and after a while new objectives were made spontaneously: make a secret path, build a canal to nearby village, build a prison for pillagers e.t.c.
Sandboxes usually struggle to keep your attention until you make your own goals, that's what I wanted to say
I have friends that play Minecraft but none of them want to play multiplayer, and anyone who does, would rather prefer it be a realm so it's private and we don't have the money to go around spending it on something like that.
Honestly the Bedrock edition of minecraft is easier to get bored of because of its heavily limited content and ability to play with friends, and Java's more fun more content dense modding community is hard to get into for a multitude of reasons from hardware limitations to computer literacy

0:43 said the candy crush fan
it's funny what the guy at 0:49 says when you know that what you can do in minecraft is a reflection of your mind and imagination
4:29 When Minecraft is updated, the new features are going to feel like mods because they haven't been in the game before. People can have reasonable complaints about updates, but "this feels like a mod" isn't one of them. Also mods aren't bad either, it's just a pain to get them installed and compatible with each other, so if the game does that for you isn't that good?
I think there is a little more to it than just "any new addition will feel like a mod because it's new". It's something to do with Minecraft's design goals compared to any given mod's design goals and especially how the former have changed.
Minecraft used to be just a sandbox. A very generalised foundation for you to build basically anything on top of in the literal sense, as well as in terms of lore, and easily make it fit in, because the player was the only one taking charge of that aspect of the world. Mods have always had less of that generalised approach and went more for getting a specific element into the game - tech mods, for example, creating an implied guideline for how fantastical or grounded the world is and what sort of a technological standard exists in it. There has been a slight, but still somewhat noticeable shift by Mojang towards making Minecraft less of an unwritten book and more of a forgotten tale. The world has a story to tell now, one that is still very open to interpretation, but there is a lot more specific elements on the board than there used to be. In order to make certain ideas blend into the existing world well, a player might nowadays find themselves forced to contradict and ignore the subtle, but established story telling of the vanilla world. That is an effect you expect to get from trying to play a modded world in a way different to the style of the mods, not what you expect from the ultimate freedom, which vanilla Minecraft is supposed to give.
At least that's my take on why quite a few of the newer additions feel more like mods than vanilla features. Whether that's good or bad is entirely up to any given person's expectations. For anyone looking for a pre-existing, mysterious world to explore and get inspired by, it's great. But anyone looking to just do their own thing might find their own ideas clashing with the very world they inhabit and they have no ability to change that, as, unlike mods, you cannot just pick and choose which elements of the established setting you like or not.
@@remor698 fair point, with actual updates people don't get to pick and choose what they want, so it's reasonable to be disappointed with the updates, but the reasoning should be more than just 'its mod-like'. And some mods are the sort of thing that would never be added into the base game, but I guess what I'm saying is that every new update is something that could have existed as a mod before, not that every mod could become a new update.
I think it's because for the longest time Minecraft mobs have had pretty janky looking animations, until semi-recently they started getting more "polished", " smooth", "detailed", etc. animations which used to only be in some mods. One of the first such mobs was the Strider. That's probably where the "mod-like" complaint is coming from, as it's what many said when the Strider was first implemented.
Updates now feel out of place because they are making new things just so animated and expressive while your character walks like an r5 Roblox character
I think Mojang could make an "feel alive update" where they woul update all animations I even have an idea to adapt the old player animations into more modern ones but equally emotionless like when falling you character just open it's arms and legs a little
Yeah the new updates just donr fit with minecraft's style in my opinion. like take a long hard look at the warden then look at a iron golem, a mob with a very similar stature and just look a how different the animations look.

@@abdulnasirbushra6049 true caves were p scary. i still think they're a bit scary now but not necessarily on their own, it's more bc anytime i come across a mob in there i get startled lol

bro last one got me crying 😭😭😭
I agree on the redstone part, but there should be more items doing simple functional stuff, that are too simple, expensive or slow to replace redstone but offer similar funtionality for users not able to get that good with redstone. Maybe something like big doors, simple excavators . That way big tnt excavators and 3x3 doors are still an acomplisment, but you can get similar, but worse experinces with a single item.
It might not be a game you personally love, but there's gotta be some really easy content in reading Fortnites negative reviews.
I played it once for ten minutes so unfortunately I have little to say.
And I'd have to actually play fortnite to remedy that :/
@@htwo1 How about reading Doom Eternals negative reviews then?
@@htwo1 or Ultrakill
seems like you are playing it since you put one of the music tracks in the game
FUCK
I just realised you did
I could almost imagine going on steam and looking at phasmophobia (ghost hunting game) or EOTU (ant game) and seeing a negative review saying they copied fortnite

ITS.

*SANDBOX.*
GAME!!!!
WHAT DID YOU EXPECT
3:51 based, minecraft has no dirt rod
I only do creative because the best part of the game, building and creativity but it takes so long to bring for anything that it becomes boring
i think what it would say, they direct limitation upon the redstonne for exemple no proper rototation, custom veicules can be trigger only once and also can't have complexe circuitry inside
(at 6:16 ) saboteur one of the most iconic game of my childhood. tho its a shame that no one has played it. its like gta but you are more driven towards the story.(please give it a try). and your (Htwo) video is amazing keep making more :D
I like how the moment the last review said "They copied creative mode form Fortnite", the video just fades out and goes into the outro
tbh i agree with the function one. it feels like i can only try to make visually impressive things, but nothing that has an interesting function. even space engineers has more of both, and redstone is very clunky, like I can't even build something easily that rotates blocks, like a simple big door or whatever
3:54 I support you man
hope your joking
one other game i can say aged well is Sonic Unleashed, game released in 2008 and still looks amazing.
sonk
Thanks for doing this, if this video never came into existence, I’d be starting a war with the rest of the world.
3:39 "people who think they're really clever" I always thought these people just got mixed up.
Tbh the warden animations look like a modded mob if the other mobs moved as much it might fix it
Yeah, the warden and the frogs both are outstandingly well animated compared to nearly every other creature in the game. It's one of those symptoms of the devs always adding on more stuff to the game, but rarely revisiting and polishing up the old stuff. The end result is a game with an obviously variable level of quality to it, which should really be evened out in a dedicated update to feel more like a complete experience rather than the variable stack of updates that it is.
Its definitely just nostalgia for most people. Take the pokemon fandom with new pokemon: they always seem like fakemon, when in 2-3 business days everyone is swooning over it
1:02 i think I'm the only person who gets the most randomest reference ever
I feel like there's a reference here I just can't put my finger on it
4:35... I mean hes not 100% wrong
How tf did Minecraft, made in 2009 copy Fortnite, made in 2017 creative mode...
*HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE!?!?!????!???!??*
