Actually the merchant is there even if you don't have level 3 imagination the search the game will not immediately point out that he's there to interact with but you can talk to him but you cannot complete the mission until you have level 3 imagination I actually found him earlier this morning when I was doing the mission and realized I'm like 2 and 3/4 away the completing imagination level three right in front of the cathedral there is a horse carriage look behind the horse carriage there is an older man standing behind it next to the sidewalk next to the woman selling water you can talk to the old man there that is the guy you need to find and talk to but to complete the quest you need to be a level three imagination to finish the mission
I love all of them, to varying degrees. My go to follower story are the following: Party: Heismay, Eupha and the last member. Followers: Alonzo, Brigitta and Maria
@@AquilaGuard Play a game wrong, even if a game has time crunches or FOMO your first playthrough should at least be an enjoyable one. I’ve tried following a guide on a first playthrough and it ended up making me drop the game and become bored of it. It no longer felt like I was playing for myself.

Just a small recommendation, try darker font. This was very hard to read on a bright gray background with small, white font. Aside from that, great video and appreciate the effort.
This is my first time playing a game in their style, I’m a huge fan of Final Fantasy 15 and 7 remake/rebirth. But I love this game I’m only 13 hours in and Strohl’s brotherly bond with the main character is awesome. I’m not sure how to go about the other followers if they’re time locked. Hulkenberg would be cool to romance if they have that in the game, like dragon age origins-inquisition.
This has way more in common with traditional JRPGs than either FF15 or remake. If you like this, your probably going to like others such as Persona, SMT, the Tales series, Xenoblade Saga, ect.....
This main character is first referred to as a Travelling Boy, and it is said that he is young, so there are no romance options. I actually like having a break from those.
@@chisaten I don't think the romance thing would fit in this type of setting. I mean it "could", but it doesnt need it. You get playful hints here and there so I don't think its a youth thing (I won't say who but some do flirt either subtlety or blatantly with the MC) but you really don't need more in a fantasy setting. I mean, they are on a quest which has a time restrictive goal. I don't think romance would be on his mind if he is serious about it (Which he is).
Note: for Strohl merchant IS available even without level 3 Imagination, but you cannot process with quest (there is a line in dialog with him) I'm currently at Imagination lvl 2 and can speak with the merchant, but cannot select needed dialog option.
Alright so I'm doing just the demo for now (I'm in Asheville, NC and we just got wifi back the other day, still waiting on water). But love the demo so far- I didn't start with Persona games until this year (P3R, P5R) and they're dope AF. I did P3R blind, but did P5R following a strict guide to not miss anything... I definitely had more fun playing without the guide, but I hate missing certain things / wasting time. These videos are great for me so far-- I'm getting some base info without ruining anything so I can have a relaxed-but-informed playthrough. Liked and subscribed, cheers!
I have been playing the demo since Thursday and it continues with the original game. You will finish it with 60 hours. To maximize the real virtues you have to do all the missions. And don't worry if you want to complete all the conversations with the characters, there are even 10 days left at the end of the game. prioritize intelligence and eloquence. value can be obtained by completing missions
I reached the ending with 18 days remaining, all virtues and comrades maxed and spent like 3 days doing the optional tower and hidden boss to get the second best sword ingame. Best weapons are gifted once u max all archtypes(normally u get 2, one all can use for specific class and another limited to the character u are maxing/mastering). Mc gets 500 atk sword that nulled panic or whatever partywide, Strohl gets 500 atk cut dmg boost, Herkeberg gets a 500 atk lance with added defensive stuff(forgot). And yeah, i also maxed main special arch on all others, but just 3 chars completely clear. All done in what? 70 hours?. And as mentioned, game gives enough time and guide not needed as different than persona that forces event on specific days, events can happen any day of the week as long as royal virtues meets the requirement
Spoilers for Metaphor Refantazio! Do not read this comment if you haven’t beaten the game. Looking at the abilities of the party members for their respective abilities, the only abilities that remain useful until the end of the game are Strohl, Basilio and Junah. Strohl and Basilio especially should be grateful that most of the battles in this game are against Human enemies. If you grant the right skills to Strohl, he will be doing some of the most damage of the party, especially with his Crit chance boosted. Basilio’s main Archetype may not be the best Dodge tank ever if you are using his Main Archetype, but this skill, if it activates can be a lifesaver. And finally, Junah will be your main source of MP restoration. The problem with the rest of the skills you get for the party is that they either are situational at worst, or simply fall off over time at best. Or both. Take Hulkenburg’s skill to protect the protagonist for example, she can protect his weaknesses, but what if you already have a way to protect your weaknesses? Or in the case of having the Prince Archetype, have no weaknesses at all. It makes this skill obsolete unfortunately. Eupha’s skill to lower the chances of Anxiety isn’t half bad. This is especially the case in the final battle. The problem is, if you get every Archetype in the game, More gives Will an ultimate weapon that prevents Anxiety. Thus making Eupha’s skill obsolete. And finally, Heismay. As much as I love the guy, he got the worse end of the stick. Ambush damage is increased when he does it. You can’t always guarantee that he will do Ambush damage, and you can’t expect this type of boon to be useful in boss fights.
Just a heads up for Strol the merchant spawned for me before I hit 3 imagination. Not sure if you just missed it or they patched it or I'm forgetful or what.
Eh. Just play the game. Only stat I don't have maxed is eloquence and I didn't min/max for it either. Just happened naturally. Followers are easy to max out if you manage your time halfway decent.
You also have to rank up to get new classes. That means there are a lot of good ranks you need. Also that guide you linked in the last video was doo-doo. It definitely works but it’s not really well designed at all.
for now magic party members are best after all basic game idia is spam enemys weakness strohl is weakest party meber becouse how much eats you mp for skills and not forget level you healer bond becouse extra xp from fights and healing
This would be valid... if resistances break, property buff and dmg boost overall doesn't exist. Heck, even his final sword when u max all arch avaliable gets cut boost making it easily disg 2k dmg on normal atk, with proper setups/approach, u can scale to 8k-12k hits or followed Hassou Tobi(one of best phys skills from past atlus games) that hits 8 strikes followed with high critical chance, making it possible to each hit dish 2-4k dmg. So if character doesn't work for u because early game does favour magic more than strategy and buffs approach, oh well, ur preference i guess
Note that physical skills were always higher dmg output than mag in most games, just that the setup for them to work is a little hard to get as many conditions like... having more press turns from mc special defensive item, herke taunt effect and the fairy. It takes around 6 turns to setup buffs and debuffs in rotation that will be kept up for at max 2 turns. So yeah, its easier to dish magic spam as options though it hardly beats phys overall output when done correctly(gear wise and buff/debuff management). Without those, yeah, phys skills suck

19 hours or so in, and I wish i could refund on ps5. I bought it for the beautiful art direction the game has. It's not enough to keep me going. Im going to wrap it and make a final judgment, but I don't understand such high praise this game is receiving. There are so many lazy mechanics in thia game, I was honestly expecting more. This is my first atlus game, never again. Ill watch youtube videos of a playthrough.

You are a minority here. Atlus games and jrpgs are not about the graphics. You supposed to love the well written characters, immerse yourself into the world and story by the life sim elements and music/style and you should be addicted to the combat system to the point that you dont realize you are playing the game for 6 hours now and dont want to stop playing even after 100 hours into the game- thats what an Atlus game is and thats the general feeling a gamer feels when playing an Atlus game and no other game can give you this feeling- if you wanted good graphics and action than you should have chosen Wukong or Astro bot but it is a you problem but thise are the games what you will forget after a week and Metaphore/persona is the game that you will remember your whole life- im not joking- if you ask a persona fan all of them will say this but not everybody is like that cus of preferencial things- like some people dont have enough time to play a 100 hour game so they dont have patiance to sit through multiple dialogues for hours or maneging ingame time and such.

This game is a lot more lenient and a lot less punishing compared to Persona games.

wellll you can very easily max out all followers b4 the final fight if you prioritise them and do no unnecessary day wasting stuff
