Going to recommend this to a couple of my friends just getting in to inexpensive scootering. I personally have my 3 dual motor Apollo Go 2024's which I ride one of each every single day in Southern California and Goodyear Arizona. Which your scenery like same desert as Goodyear. I purchased mine for 3 reasons and that is DEDICATED regen thumb throttle and dual suspension and self repair tires which I just got a big nail yesterday. The Niu with that amazing comfortable foot platform and front shocks. Iam shocked at all the features of these scooters for these low prices. and the VMAX with its dedicated regen throttle is surprising. P.S. My Apollo's are 48 pounds, that Segway is feather light love it!!!

I have the KQi100P and am impressed. More range would be nice but for $250 it is hard to complain.

Love the NIU KQI 100P although I wish it did have a slightly bigger battery and 20mph but still for $250. It’s unmatched.
My only issue is it doesn’t log miles. The display doesn’t and neither does the app. Does your app have that issue ?

It doesn't track my miles unless I have the app open and the screen awake while riding. They have had that issue since the app was launched, and I guess it isn't fixed, or there is a setting I'm missing.

@ wow good to know. It bugs me for sure I asked them about it and this is the email they sent me.
For kick scooters, the riding data is recorded via the owner's smartphone. The location of the scooter and the smartphone may not be the same so there may be some minor inconsistencies in the mileage due to:
      1. Weak GPS Signal: This may be caused by carrying the device at the bottom of the backpack, in a pocket, or even due to the presence of clouds or rain, as well as being in forests, canyons, gorges, etc.
      2. Inaccurate GPS Chip: Mobile phone manufacturers choose chips for each device, and due to the great diversity that is available, the variation can change a lot depending on the smartphone model.
      3. Energy-saving system as part of some smartphones’ standard default settings, depending on the mobile manufacturer. When the energy-saving feature is enabled on the smartphone, it will shut down GPS to save power.
Also, when you need to record riding mileage, please refer to the following steps:
      1. Please turn on Bluetooth and Location on your smartphone.
      2. Please connect the App to the vehicle via Bluetooth.
3 When you ride the vehicle, please don’t shut down the app and let the app running the background on the smartphone.
Note: The total mileage in the vehicle homepage and 'Device info’ is the accumulated riding data of the vehicle. The data remains the same when the owner is changed or the vehicle is unbound.

Sure, how do these handle when going down a hill? Do they limit the speed with the abs brake system? I know dumb question

They will limit your speed if you have the throttle down, but if you let it coast they will go above the limited speed
