If you listen with headphones you’ll notice the subtle changes in the ostinato harmonies, this keeps you waiting and expecting more. It’s a very good theme introduction.
I think that this end of Palladio would be better and more appropriate to the rest of the work if the first 2:12 were omitted. This would allow another return of the second thematic group based on the first movement (3:49) prior to the main theme with which this movement and Palladio conclude. I would like to suggest it to Karl Jenkins himself.

2min in front is a long time to get to the main parts. Nonetheless the main Palladio is among the best piece in the 20th century.
