If you have a column which has data in certain cells but other cells are 'empty', however they still contain a formula which has returned no value, Excel will still count this as a cell using the COUNTA function. To fix this, do COUNTA - COUNTBLANK and it will only include the cells which actually have visible text rather than all cells which may not be returning values as well.

Thanks, I had forgotten about the COUNTA function. Its a real time saver. Also not sure if you covered this but COUNTA only counts something, and leaves blanks out of the count, which is often something we find useful.

What if you want to count the number of UNIQUE “segments”? For example, for rows 2-3, it is both Government. And for 4-6, it is all Midmarket. So it’s really 2 unique segments

Do conditional formating, new rule, use a formula to determine and paste the same rule in it should work. remember this only works if this rule returns true, so if it doesn't just place it within an if function =if("your rule">=0,"true","false"). I think that should help

If someone can help me with this I would be forever grateful. I use an Ipad as a log book for work. I want to highlight a certain amount of columns and get the amount highlighted shown.
