To give you a little something about the character she's in her very late 20s early 30s... She's a few years older than Luke Skywalker ... ezra The one in the hologram is two days older than Luke and Leia. He was born on Empire day when the Empire was first formed
Oh absolutely I think if she wanted to kill Sabine the fight would have been over two to three seconds. dark side users are like cats when they fight They know they're going to win so why not enjoy it.
I feel like before they started, the apprentice (I keep forgetting her name) was wary. Probably thinking, "This was Ahsoka Tano's padawan, so how good is she?" Then when they started fighting, she was like, "Oh, OK. She's not that good, so let's have some fun." Then the droid's like, "Uhm, we should probably go," so she's like, "Alright, let's wrap this up."
I believe Baylan Skoll was once a Jedi. His apprentice, Shin Hati(Skoll and Hati, nice reference to Norse mythology there), however, doesn't appear to be old enough to have been trained as a Jedi. That said, as someone who hasn't seen Rebels or Clone Wars, I loved the first two episodes.
I was wondering how someone who hasn't seen either Clone Wars or Rebels would feel about this 'cause I'm sure you've seen how those of us who have are geeking out over a lot of stuff. I'm glad you loved them and I'm glad it was written well enough to please both types of people.
@@ldkinbote I certainly have and I love seeing so many people geeking out about these characters. I'm familiar with some of them thanks to the internet and them being mentioned by reactors and appearing in other things. So although I may not know the full story, I know enough to understand how beloved and important these characters are.
I mean i think if my little brother disappeared the way Ezra did, that acting the sabine was wouldn't be strange. Especially for Sabine who felt like her family rejected her, so the ghost crew IS here family even she has made up with her blood family. She's shown she would do anything for her family blood or found. So this is very in character for her. But i can definitely see why someone who ships them sees it as romantic.
Ahsoka’s move to drop down and attack from below felt very Anakin-like to me, so fitting for his apprentice. And Shin was definitely toying or testing Sabine. She is obviously more skilled and could have ended her at multiple points in the duel.
Great reaction, Julia and Trent. This was such a special Premiere. I'm sure George Lucas loved seeing his Surrogate Son do good, and approved of his storytelling. Yes, the music has been excellent, so far...very much on the level of John Williams' classic, monumental musical template. Looking forward to you reaction to Part 2.
If I ever get a chance to make a trip down under I would love to meet you guys. Ever since Crocodile Dundee debuted I have wanted to go to Australia. I subscribed to your channel because of the passion and knowledge you two bring to your reactions as a team. As usual you did an excellent break down of the episode so keep it "Nerdy".
The more you see the new republic at work the more you realize that how they were taken out so easily. There like the jedi at the height of the clone Wars brash and overconfident
Some of my knowledge about the new villains ;) An astute Reddit user, well-versed in Norse mythology, discovered a striking similarity between these new villains: their surnames are linked to mythological wolf brothers, descendants of the fearsome Fenrir. Sköll, one of these brothers, relentlessly pursues the Sun, symbolized by the goddess Sól riding her chariot across the sky, while Hati pursues the Moon, represented by the god Máni on a chariot. A chilling prophecy suggests that during Ragnarök, the mythical end of days, both Sköll and Hati will finally capture and consume the Sun and Moon. Baylan Skoll is inspired by a pair of villains from legends Jerec and the dark Jedi cult from the Dark Forces Jedi Knight game series - used orange lightsabers made of synthetic crystals. For example, Filoni took the Dark Troopers from this game series and used them in the Mandalorian series. Jorus C'Baoth from the original Star Wars sequel from the legendary book series Heir to the Empire Thrawn trilogy, where he has a similar appearance and connection with Thrawn. Huyang (a robot voiced by the legendary Doctor Who David Tennant) talks about Baylan escaping Order 66. I wonder why his sword hilt is so special. Otherwise, the planet with "Stonehenge" will be the place where the Purgyls are born and therefore this ring in its orbit. In my opinion, they will catch the whales that will get them along the star path and since I am returning to legends again, this can also have a strong impact on the timeline and so that we don't get the so-called SW multiverse that would lead to the Thrawn trilogy and not to Rey :D ;) but maybe not, we'll see. And I'm really looking forward to the final showdown and Anakin's involvement in this whole thing.
16:35 The fact Ezra touched the back of his head in an awkward way when he said "you're like a sister to me" conceals more layers to face value statement. Body language sometimes reveals the truth.
Sabine's introduction was perfect. Not knowing a single thing about the character you get a sense of who she is. Plus the music rocked.

I haven't been this nervous of an encounter in a long time. But Damn Shin was really playing with Sabine like a cat with a mouse. Rivaly of the show
Wouldn't it be insanely unexpected and ironic, if they ended up becoming allies, in the end?
“Sometimes even the right reasons have the wrong consequences…what do we do then?” - Ahsoka Tano
She’s carrying a lot of guilt in that one sentence…
28:08 is when Shin realized Sabine is not a force user. Then she proceeds to toy with Sabine until Ahsoka arrives. Shin is pure evil.
that droid almost lost some Hydraulic fluid when Sabine wouldn't stop, lol
If u listen carefully in the scene where ahsoka touches the first pillar, you can hear The Son’s voice saying “he’s the chosen”
Sabine was being toyed with right up until the droid informed her the ship was coming.

I love the costuming. A throw back to A New Hope. Very 1970’s
So happy to see a fellow Aussie play Sabine! 😆😆

Was that a pun... "go down under!".

Thanks, Julia! Thanks, Trent! 🌌 #FandomZone #DaveFiloni #StarWars #Ahsoka
Nothing to do with the story or character development, I just felt compelled to say that Natasha Bordizzo is unbelievably attractive as Sabine Wren 😅
yasssss
love the captain, too bad he dies
