      no her not killing him was her realizing that it was all a test to see if she would fight and not die and go back and live instead. She had a choice, Anakin was getting her to fight and realize she had to fight in order to go back.

    Seeing Anakin with a red lightsaber is the closest we'll get to seeing how Vader could've turned out if he won the fight on Mustafar. He would've been absolutley terrifying if he'd won.

    Considering, amongst other signs, Anakin saying "I've heard that before" refering back to his fight with Luke, which Ashoka has no knowledge about what they said to each other, I think this is the real Anakin. Also, it's bovious that Anakin was trying to teach her that just because he become Vader, does not mean that she in turn has to turn evil or be afraid to. The "You've learned nothing" feels like Anakin saying that she is forgetting all the good that was in Anakin that he taught her, and instead forsakes it all just because she can't get over him becoming Vader. So Anakin has to fight her has Evil Anakin to force her to face it, and still decide to fight for life and good.

    Ahsoka got her closure with Anakin. I love that you can see how more relaxed and happy Ahsoka is after meeting Anakin and confronting her past.
    The problem she had with being raised as soldier, feeling responsible for Anakin's fall... now she accepts that she doesn't have to be soldier to be a Jedi. She can decide what kind of jedi she wants to be. She can be everything that Anakin taught her without becoming just like Vader.

      Young Ahsoka felt bad and led them into battle that cost many lifes. So the vibe I got was that she has the feeling on that moment that Sabine could have lost her live on Ahsoka's trip to find the map to find Ezra. Maybe at that point she also feels that Hera or her son could have lost their lives. I think Anakin ment more like stop caring to much and step up your game and put your warrior face on

    Seeing young Ahsoka in the Clone Wars really makes it hit home just how young Ahsoka was. She really was a child thrust into a war she wasn't trained for. I also love that her attitude has changed after her experience. She has been drifting since she was expelled from the Jedi order and lost Anakin to the Dark Side. She has found her focus again.

    One thing seeing live action Clone Wars is how it drives home that Ahsoka was essentially a child soldier, something the animated version couldn't convey in quite the same way. She did reflect on it a bit near the end of the final season of TCW and I imagine it's something she'd never been able to let go of.
    Young Ahsoka was the same actress for both time-points, just made to look younger in the first and older in the second (given she's 16, so between the ages Ahsoka would have been). It's Ariana Greenblatt who was young Gamora in Infinity War as well as the daughter in Barbie, not to mention she's playing the part of Tiny Tina in the upcoming Borderlands movie. She's having a hell of an early career.

    • @TheMimiSard
      @TheMimiSard 10 месяцев назад +2

      She is walking a similar path to Jenna Ortega, who is also a (ex) child actor (and also had a minor role in the MCU - she was in Iron man 3 in a non-speaking role). Jenna is a few years older and further on her path, but I bet Greenblatt has a lot of potential to run that sort of career as well.

      A quick google search and it seems she only turned 16 last month, so she was likely early 15 or possibly late 14 at the time of filming. Pretty much right on the mark for early Ahsoka. She seemed a bit too young for Mandalore but it's totally understandable that they didn't get ANOTHER actress just to fill a small time gap. It was more important to show how young she was at the start than the end.

    Baylan was clearly doing his mind reading thing on Ahsoka last week, picking out her fear that she has the seeds of the dark side in her, just like Anakin. She was so afraid of becoming like him that she keeps everyone around her at arms length. But as Anakin said, there are only two choices, live or die, and keeping herself shut off from the people around her was it' own slow death. It can be hard when someone hurts you so profoundly, particularly someone in a parental role, to remember the good they taught you as well as the bad, which seems to be what Anakin was referring to when he said "you're more than that, because I'm more than that."

    • @ididntwanttomakethis6588
      @ididntwanttomakethis6588 10 месяцев назад +7

      It makes me think of the quote from Kreia KOTOR 2: “Apathy is death”. Ahsoka distanced herself from so much because of her fear of becoming just like Vader, feeling like that’s all she’ll be in the end. That poor woman was traumatized since she was a child and could only see the horror of what happened around her. But she forgot the beautiful friendships she made, the people she’s saved over the years, the good she’s put back into the galaxy.
      Ahsoka learning to step away from the fear and remember the good in Anakin, in herself - it meant so much me. Ahsoka chose not just to keep going like she had been, but to actually live life and embrace the galaxy again.

    I think Anakin was also showing her the role of the Jedi can change, in his time as a padawan he was keeper of the peace, in Ashoka's generation they were defenders of the republic/soldiers so she doesnt need to stay within th confines of that and expand her role of what the jedi's role is even though technically the jedi going to war goes against the idea of being peace keepers. The narrative of some Star Wars media shows that the council has become rigid and some jedi have become disillusioned with the way being peace keepers was being done as we seen in a few episodes of clone wars and tales of the jedi.

    "One is never too old to learn, snips". To me, the lesson he was teaching her was the difference between surviving and living. It was the last lesson he learned, from Luke, when he was much older. From the moment he betrayed Ahsoka, she's been surviving, and her purpose, her conviction, gone. She's got no friends, family or companions around her, no attachment, just as a Jedi should be. But Ahsoka is no Jedi, and like Anakin said he's now passed on the final lesson he learned to her, even what he learned in his final moments. And then as he's smiling and remembering about his last lesson by Luke, she says, "I won't fight you" and he chuckles, because that's also what Luke said to him before that last fight. When his heart was full of rage and darkness that fight is what brought him back. So he turns on his lightsaber, and gets ready to pass that on to her.
    You live, truly live, or you die just like he did when he became Vader.
    At least that's my take on it.

    Anakin asking "Do you even want a Padawan?" Is due to Ahsoka being hesitant and holding back when it comes to teaching Sabine. She also comes to realise that Anakin, although powerful, is not a perfect teacher, same goes for Obi-Wan. She understands in the end that it's not about being a good teacher, it's about having a good relationship with your Padawan, and having trust.

    15:48 Btw, did you know that according to “Bespin Bulletin” there was a fight scene shot between Anakin (as Hayden Christensen) and Ahsoka (as Savannah Steyn instead of Ariana Greenblatt, at least for that scene) on Mustafar in an alternate-reality-like setting during the "world-between-world like" moments, which they said was cut from the actual episode? In that scene Anakin would have showed her that she couldn't have changed his fate to become Vader even if she were there at that point, which would have taken away a lot of her guilt of her not having been there and not being able to save him, resulting in the now more light-hearted Ahsoka. They cut that scene, maybe cause it wasn't really a memory and/or cause Anakin's message/lesson was a different one? Though I still hope they would release it as a separate video on YT or sth like that, cause I would really like to see what that scene (and Savannah Steyn as Ahsoka) would have looked like and it also explains a bit better imo why Ahsoka is more enlightened and happy at the end of the episode.

    i think baylan trying to bring up mandalore was his attempt to make her turn on her. its something he must have learned with his powers but i dont think everything happened the way he implied it. for one you would think if ahsoka did something that resulted in sabine's family dying that sabine would be pissed off and leave her. but we were told by both Ahsoka and Sabine that Ahsoka was the one the left/quit. whatever happened with mandalore it didn't turn Sabine away from wanting to train under Ahsoka. i mean she was obviously not happy about what happened on mandalore (based on that i go where i'm needed/not always comment) but that didn't end their relationship. if anything, Sabine seemed upset in ep 2 that Ahsoka had left her. Her entire role in episode 2 is Sabine trying/wanting to get back together with Ahsoka.

Luke has more flesh than Vader thus he has more Midichlorians in his body make his connect stronger to the force...Ahsoka's power level is "up there" around their level according to George. Knowing this information I believe, Ahsoka's fear is that she is as or more powerful than Anakin because he trained her an is apart of his Legacy. She always been holding back not going all-in in fear of turning to the dark-side like Anakin did. It's why she hesitate with Sabine training in fear she'll pass it on. JMO

    I didnt really process what a baby she was until i saw her in live action, and now I sort of feel like Palpatine was the punishment for the Jedi's sins of pushing little girls into fighting wars. This poor child is literally killing people when she should be learning her algebra.

    Nope. This is full potential Anakin. The form he wasn’t able to achieve in his physical body. A perfect balance of Anakin and Vader. “I won’t fight you” and “I’ve heard that before” are so poetic because that’s what Luke said to him in RotJ.

    Not the world between worlds. The reason you know this is not some made up Anakin by the force for a trial is the first line of the fight. Asoka: I wont fight you....Anakin:I heard that before. Anakin remembers he heard that before but he did not hear this from Asoka ever so she couldent have knowm. Luke in return of Jedia says he wont fight Vader. Anakin is mentioning Luke when he says I heard that before. Meaning the force is not pulling from Asoka memories but the force is bending to Anakin's will. Anakin created this world not the force and this is the real Anakin

    "Intense" sugarcoating? *ding* There are several quotes that illustrate the things he is teaching her. "He was powerful, rarely lost a battle. What would've surprised people is how kind he was" "I've thought about her every day since we parted, but she's forgotten me completely " "but will we do so as keepers of the peace, or warriors? And is there a difference?" (Ahsoka to Barriss about the Jedi post war), "THIS IS RIDICULOUS, the droids aren't HALF as good as Rex's men " "that's the point. This is SUPPOSED to be difficult Ahsoka. It's my job to protect you. And the best way I can do that is to teach you how to protect yourself " "How well would you sleep, knowing that I let you down?" "Not very well I'd imagine "(Anakin and Obi-Wan talking about her) "Where were you when I needed you? "I made a choice" "You were SELFISH" "No" "You FAILED me, you ABANDONED me, do you know what I've become?" (Being confronted by a Force vision on Lothal) "you can't save your master, and I can't save mine" "The Jedi are supposed to be keepers of the peace, but all I've been since I was a Padawan was a Soldier" "I see the Padawan needs 1 final lesson " "Let's just say I DIDN'T use standard Jedi protocol " "I've seen what such attachments can do to a fully trained Jedi Knight, to the best of us" "Then I will avenge his death " "Revenge is not the Jedi way" "I am NO JEDI" "I won't leave you, not this time" "Then you will DIE" "Train yourself to let go.....of everything you fear to lose" "I KNOW there is still good in you, the emperor hasn't driven it from you fully" "you already have, Luke. You were right, you were right about me. Tell your sister, you were right" "Father, I won't leave you "

    It's amazing realizing that Ahsoka was just a CHILD in the Clone Wars. I mean we knew that but seeing it in live action really hammers home just how little and young she actually was.
