+Mark Tarnovetsky they actually taste pretty good, they're fried in different spices. well, I haven't had them in a long time but I remember eating a lot like they were cheetos
Me too ...I didn't know about the kissing and drank Sombra WRONG!!! Spent about 3 hours on the bathroom floor...now that I know how to drink it properly, I need to get another bottle!!!
The one place that got closed because of shootings looks exactly like a place that would get shot up. The atmosphere with the lights walls and floor layout just makes the place feel tense.
Mezcal is such a beautifully complex spirit. If the world knew about it, truly knew about it, I have no doubt it would usurp scotch as the gentleman's discerning drink.
Props to whoever decided to give pulque aka " the drink of the Gods" a space in this episode. To anyone reading this who suffers from stomach ailments. Pulque does miracles and a glass of it has more nutrients than a big piece of steak.
i really enjoy this guy as a host for this. i also enjoy you showing mexican culture, A+ vice, great job! i have a question tho, when hes drinking the agave juice while its being fermented, he said it was like a good beer, is there any alcohol during that stage.. also i would love to try agave beer, sounds amazing.. P.S. that girl bartender was crazy hot.
Yes, of course there is alcohol, beer is aswell only fermated stuff (mainly malt and hops). Probablly everything with saccharos or starch can be fermated. Something fermated always has alcohol in it (well expect you artificially removed it like in alcohol free beer)
thanks for the answer! im also glad and thankful you didnt respond to it negatively and act like a dick like most people on youtube would do. CHEERS MATE!
TheHanspeter8 anything with sugar, and yeast will produce alcohol, but not everything that is fermented is alcoholic. Yogurt is fermented, sour kraut is fermented, just fermented by bacteria, and not s.cerivasiae (yeast).
I want to try the fried agave worms wish they had them in California.. i tried the one inside a bottle of mezcal but it just tasted like the mezcal itself.
I like this dude. Vice should do more with him as a host
this is the best munchies series. he is so humble and pure.
Just watching this documentary make me want to visit Oaxaca

Exactly what I was thinking man! I would love to watch a full length show featuring this dude.

Wow a munchies show that was actually about the food (and drinks)..They should try that more often!
Anyone else notice the guy @ 7:00 dancing by himself in the back? Hahaha

The key points to take away from mezcal is definitely respect it! When I first tried it in Oaxaca man oh man was it a mistake
Me too ...I didn't know about the kissing and drank Sombra WRONG!!! Spent about 3 hours on the bathroom floor...now that I know how to drink it properly, I need to get another bottle!!!

For sure. Actual tastes without weird wood and processes just natural tastes.

There are a lot of chapulines around México, but only the ones from Oaxaca are teasty as Hell.

That raiders jacket is tight af
I want to try the fried agave worms wish they had them in California.. i tried the one inside a bottle of mezcal but it just tasted like the mezcal itself.

I miss oaxaca so fucking badly.
The greatest pulque in all México is produced in the state of Tlaxcala. :)
6:20 his face says it all. ^ as FUCK
Salina Cruz is the place to go!
My man is cross faded as helllll. Lol
whats with the light bulb on the bar at 6:57 ?
Dont know who else feels this way, but I think they were victims of overcharging for not being from around the region.
Definitely got that vibe too. $18?? Seriously?
They also took couple of orders back to the bar.
I think 5 people ate for 18 bucks...they probably tipped the guy also, I don't think that's so bad. You do the math
Fair point. Didn't take into consideration that there were 5 people.
they ate there and took like 4-5 plates to go…id like to see that even in the us!
Me dieron ganas de ir a Oaxaca
how did she catch so many grasshoppers? Are those all grasshoppers?
Come to salinas small town big news
***** y tus huevos?
what's the title of the song during the next epison preview in the end? at 12:18

He’s so cute where is he now? lol
he should do something on agumiel so fucking good
Is there a longer Pulque segment? My grandpa used to deliver it to Fidel Castro from Veracruz, back in the mid 1950's.
That s a great story, you could write a book about that
Only in México, for the rest of the world! ;)
does anyone knows the song?
songs*
🔥
Went to Oaxaca and didn't show the moles, SMH. I held out thru part 2 in the hopes of a mole sighting, sir you ruined my day :(
9:23 Que tipo de copa es esa? Quiero una primo (mejor, link me the vid to making one)
Nothing is wasted in the production process.. a baby fell into the fire pit and this cup was made from his skull....
Any idea how easy it is to go to a Mezcal Distiller and watch the process and not pay $90pp for a tour guide?
recommend*
Let me put it this way if you "kiss" mezcal you're a boring ass fook;if you shoot mescal well.....now we're having fun, lol.
True Emin stfu
Fuck yes pulque is the best thats all we drink in Hidalgo baby
If you haven't tried pulque you haven't lived although the hangover if the worse you will ever have
that pulque looked more gross to drink than eating the grasshoppers.
awesome vid
Dude it comes from a plant.. 🤤🙃🤪
Quisiera ser feliz como el vato del min 7:00 xD
👍🏾🦗🥃
he's cheesing so hard this entire video. I feel like if it's vice and there's food, its almost implied that the reporters are high.
