Through the UConnect dashboard touch screen, you are able to control a variety of audio, climate and security options. Do we have to subscribe to the Uconnect service in order to use bluetooth for hands free phone use?
No you do not have to. The UConnect adds extra capability. Like remote start from the UConnect app.
When I listen to music from my Iphone via bluetooth the song name/artist does not show on the Uconnect screen. Is there something I could do for it to show? thank you.
Did you ever resolve your issue?
Plug it into the USB directly. Has to be Apple Music tho and downloaded songs/ playlist.

I have a Dodge Journey 2020 and every time I get back in my car only my phone connects but it won’t play my music. Unless I delete and restart every time 😒

Uconnect vehicles can be eligible for updates. Take your vehicle to your local service department to see if there is a firmware update available to you! The features that would become available is dependent on what update your vehicle is eligible for.

We advise you to talk to one of our sales consultants by phone or take it to a local dealership and have them diagnose the problem. If the touchscreen is inaccessible in one section you may want to consider resetting your UConnect system or taking it in to be serviced where they would update your system.

If you want to change the name of your paired device you will have to do it from the device itself under the Bluetooth settings. Tony, do you have an iPhone or Android? @@javongassaway8934 just disconnected the terminals for 5 minutes. Hooked back up, good to go. It let me in to program the phone, no problems

Hi Frank, for safety reasons text messaging can only be accessed through voice command. Is that what you're having trouble with?

2014 Dodge Dart yes it's the 8.4 screen shows that I have messages but it tells me to get on the internet and see if my phone is compatible to that
What kind of phone do you have Frank? iPhones are not compatible with the text messaging feature but Androids are. If your phone is compatible, could you help us out by providing your vehicle's VIN number so we can help you further?

It says "Hands-Free System Loading" and stays there.
You could be experiencing a glitch with your module. This can potentially be fixed under warranty. Take it to your service center and they will be able to assist you!
anyone know how to rename your cars system from "uconnect?" my daughter also owns a Dodge and they both say uconnect.
Hey Michelle! You actually need to change the name on your connection settings on your phone's Bluetooth. Opening it up on there, you can change the name. Hope that helps!
