I just bought a 2018 R/T and the Apple car play was working fine when I drove it off the lot. Since then I have not been able to do the car play. My car only picks up the Bluetooth on the phone. I have a factory issued charging cord for my phone, it’s the same one that came with the phone but when I plug it into the USB port, it doesn’t recognize it. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Is there an update that needs to happen? I plan on taking it to the dealership Wednesday to see what’s going on with it. I’m not an extremely tech savvy guy but. Know enough to know that I did everything I could to try to sync my phone to the car and it’s justs not responding

Garth Hill more than likely it needs a flash update and that should take care of it.

Yes. So long las you have at least 7 inch screen. Use factory usb cord, if android may have to download android auto app on phone

You will need a factory style USB cord only.

Check with stores like Walmart or Best Buy or the carrier network where you bought your phone
