Lots of Indian teenagers are like this because we are taught to not take ourselves so seriously and we are also under a lot of Asian parent pressure to do well from childhood so any form of escape feels so amazing and energizing and we become more creative as a rebellion 😀😀

According to my Indian friend, Indians don't send their kids to part-time jobs or out of their homes after 18 unless the kids are not staying with their parents.

Basically these Tamilians actually don’t want to return to India and same for any one when they make it big, we like to say oh, a Punjabi/Tamilian/Whatever on world stage! But those are basically people who don’t want to step foot in India

Only 10 years ago, people made such a fuss when an Indian girl won Miss America. Now people accept Indian girls like her as just...normal. And when I grew up in the 80s and 90s,.....yeah a whole different world. We were nothing but foreigners in North America, even if we were born here.
