that's fantastic that another mother took them in. I have a female cat that will take in orphaned kittens. I had one that was just a day old and she nursed it even though she had no milk. Of course I was feeding him. He didn't make it but he was totally loved.
Rehabbers who once helped orphaned and injured raccoons can no longer rehab them in my state (Alabama), and the rehabbers are, by law, required to euthanize any raccoon brought to them, including their young. Thank God for people like you who help.
Is it bc of overpopulation? Even so, it's immoral to demand euthanasia as a quick fix to their mistake. If they didn't jump in an regulate in the first place the only people who'd intervene are the ones willing to rehab. Most people wouldn't, but those people have facilities to call now bc the govt always turns kindness into business. They make it illegal to help without their permission. To get permission they always make a list of things u must do which all cost money and then bring proof with more money. Then they require renewal fees, inspections so they can fine for fees and threaten to shut u down for fees, while raising taxes for the environmental necessity. They still collect all the money, u still need their permission and those who have permission "to help" are legally required to euthanize all raccoons. 🤬🤬🤬🤬 Sorry, just pisses me off and most people don't know this bc they don't think about it.
Could you tell us more about how you introduced the babies to the other mother? Did you add them to the reunion box and count on her inability to count? Or was it more complicated? I do love these creatures--and your work.
Those were old enough to be going out with Mom. In fact it's odd they were just all waiting there like that. I've had much younger ones try and sneak after Mom when they are supposed to be staying in the den. Sad someone likely killed Mom. I am surprised you found another to take them; my coons here wouldn't adopt ones that old. They let them tag along, or den up in their den if one gets "lost" and doesn't make it home, but as for caring for them - nope. As a wildlife rehab person, I know how hard it is to raise them and surprisingly (after observing the neighborhood Moms) they have some of the same problems a human has raising them! At that age, they just love to play, they don't pay attention to hunting instructions, and Mom is done "babying" them. She still keeps an eye on them, and will protect them. But they make their rounds of the hood, and the kits better be paying attention or they suddenly find themselves left behind. That's when you hear them calling, and see them running back and forth trying to pick up the scent trail. That's when you find them sleeping in odd places, waiting for night to come and try and meet up/find Mom.
Should mention that it's illegal to trap and relocate racoons far from their home territory. In cases where the mother is still caring for the babies, I think if you wait several days until the she gets them out and about, THEN close up the entry point, she will take them to an alternative den site.
it's crazy how nice the young raccoons are. I caught a couple adult ones and those things are evil pieces of shit man growling and clawing and just real angry creatures, but the babies just act like little kittens or something.
The mother probably got run over, but it's good the firm adopts the babies out. Raccoons can't count so the new mother is probably wondering why the den is is all of a sudden to small for all of us!
hope the government doesn't see this as it's illegal to be working on a roof without a rope and harness. as well I'm sure WSIB wouldn't pay out if one of you fall off that roof as no safety measure are taken lol.. but thats just one persons thought hahahahaha.
There was one I couldn't bare to watch where the baby raccoons have been in the walls for over 10 days without Mom they just took their time no hurry every minute counted for getting them nourishment and they wanted to make sure they got a good video instead unbelievable only one lived
They are a business that gets paid to humanly remove animals not an animal ambulance. They can't go in panicked and frantically ripping apart someone's home. They have to be professional and do the job they were called to do. The videos don't add time to the job, the editing after does. And bc of them more people are looking specifically for humane removal now that they know it's an option.
We LOVE this Gentleman and his crew!! So ETHICAL & COMPASSIONATE!!
You guys should show us the new mother adopting the orphaned raccoons next time this happens! :)
Yes, would love to see that! Either way it was good to hear Cassandra say that these little cuties were adopted by another mother.
I really wish that everyone working in animal control can be as caring and compassionate as you guys. 💚

Hi Bruce !
Could you tell us more about how you introduced the babies to the other mother? Did you add them to the reunion box and count on her inability to count? Or was it more complicated? I do love these creatures--and your work.
It's probably on the other video which is probably the one before or after this one.
Sup Bruce !!
that vent that was on there wouldn't rain go right through that and soak into that crawl space?
The Best!!❤❤

Thats great u guys do baby adoptions too!!
how the heck does the rain stay out with a vent like that
I think the mama raccoon chewed through the top of the vent.
I wish you guys were in Virginia, US
Lol did you used to do roofing? You tore the vent off nicely without breaking shingles lol
Great finding new home
HOW BRAVE THEY ARE
Hi all.

The mother probably was hit by a car. Great another mother accepted them.
Do not damage houses so heavily, busters!
How can something so cute sound so horrifying? If that sound came from my attic a priest would find them 🤦♀️
Ya no son bebés ya son de ir a la escuela 😁
The mother probably got run over, but it's good the firm adopts the babies out.

Racoons never need rescue, they are marching everywhere during garbage collection...
They need a bottle!
The girl is again in video with her beautiful ponytail 💖
Those babies seem not to be very happy.
