- Received my new GoPro this week. What better way to test it out than to take it for a ride around my O-Gauge train layout in progress? For this "Cab Ride" we traverse the double reverse loop which covers all 3 levels of the layout.

Interesting. While I'm deeply disappointed we didn't get to go over the bridge, I enjoyed this thoroughly. Always wanted to be a train hobbyist, never had the space. While there are brilliant recreations of towns and countrysides out there, I'm a basic trains and track guy so your set-up really appealed to me. Thanks for posting!
Trust me, I'll take us over the bridge very soon!
That’s pretty damn impressive. Model trains is a hobby that is pretty difficult to get into but when mastered you get beautiful track layouts like this Great job man.
Thank you!
Wow Jason. Great layout! Love the trackwork and your outstanding carpentry skills! Thank you for sharing.
Pretty amazing layout for one that is indoors. You mentioned that it is in your basement which clearly must be enormous. Obviously a labour of love and a project that will go on forever.
Among all the other things people have mentioned, I appreciate the good quality AUDIO in this video.
Really liked the underground track storage
Well done, Jason! That was terrific--coolest view yet. Thank you!
Spectacular! Absolutely spectacular!
Hey Jason,
Your layout reveals a touch of artistic creation, not just track strung everywhere. I can envision the hills and mountains that you have yet to create as well as your town (flashback to your original layout). BTW, the first time I caught your youtube videos was when you bought your MTH PS3 Allegheny. I have my father's old 1996 MTH Allegheny which I upgraded to PS3 - what a process. Had to send it to two different techs before the job was done correctly. It's proudly displayed on my shelf next to my Legacy Allegheny and my JLC Allegheny (which I got upgraded to full Legacy as well.) Anyways, can't wait to see your finished creation. You remind me of me about 30 years ago, only I was not as tech savy of course!!
Ralph, thank you for such a kind comment. I have a grand vision in my head of what it will all look like and I can't wait to see it become reality. Hopefully 2022 brings some major transformations to the layout. Thanks for being a long time follower!
This summer I finally can build my O gauge Lionel train layout. 36 years of waiting due to kids and office in the basement. Our new Condo has unfinished basement for me and grandchildren. That’s how I found you video.
That was Awesome.! BIG 👍🏻
Thanks for the ride.! 😎😀
My pleasure Mark!
Awesome video 👍. I remember in 1958 my dad and his brother would rubber band an 8 mm camera on a flat car , wind the film up , hit the start switch on the camera and start the train around the track. Of course it would not fit under tunnels but the same principle applies. Film was only a 50 foot reel. But today’s technology is great. Remember when Lionel came out with rail scope in the cab and one in a caboose ? But anyway keep the great work. I give 2 👍👍. Thank you.
Wonderful, just wonderful! Such fun to ride in the cab!
Totally awesome! So smooth. Thanks for the ride!
This is wonderful to see your updated layout. Can't wait to see it 100% complete!
Love your new layout and thank you for the ride, Salute ! !
Just an amazing layout! I could watch it all day!
Right through the heart of the new layout! What a great run that was, Jason. The only thing that makes this cab ride better than the first is that it's celebrates the new layout's larger proportions and neater wiring (hope that's not unfair). It'll be really interesting to get different angle views with the new go-pro as the work goes on! Thanks for this.
Thanks Tom! Yes, the wiring is way nicer than the last layout lol.
Wow....20 more minutes of that would have been great..... and all in "O" gauge.... that was awecome.
Wow, what an epic layout!
FANTASTIC!!
Just superb.
What an extraordinary set up! Well done!
Looks great so far, big thumbs up!
Awesome, thank you for sharing your new layout. Love the track plan.
Great video and quality!! Because of space considerations I collect HO scale but, man, what a layout you have! Enjoyed the ride!!
You have an outstanding collection of rolling stock. Look forward to see scenery added.
WHAT AN AMAZING LAYOUT YOU HAVE , THANKS FOR POSTING..
Very cool enjoyed the ride look forward to seeing your layout in the future
Awesome! Thank you for sharing!
Outstanding.what a great evolution
Many thanks!
Looks just great Jason. Keep up the good work and really looking forward to future layout progress!
Thanks Steve!
I have been following you for several years and this video is absolutely fantastic. It's nice to see the upper and lower levels. Happy Holidays and I'm looking forward to seeing more videos from you soon.
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
Hahahaha! I did this in 1968 with a super 8mm home movie camera! Dang camera was too tall to fit through my tunnels and the stamped steel Lionel bridges! Now to find those old home movies!
Great video, beautiful layout and outstanding modern collection!
That is awesome. The extra sound and the realistic speed makes it like a real experience.
Brilliant work. Well done 👍🏆🇬🇧
Excellent... thanks for sharing. Looking forward to more!👍😀
Very nice Jason! It really shows what a neat job you did with your trackwork.
I think its pretty Neat too :)
Fantastic loved it
Greetings from London UK - I have only one word for your layout Jason. FABULOUS 😊
Well done young man - I like it!
Masterfully done sir
Fun ride. Terrific layout.
Wow I am impressed with all Your Benchwork . You got a Big Layout ! Love all Your grades . Thanks for the tour .
It's amazing how technology evolves to this day! Superb video!🙂
I am blown away impressed with your work. You should be justifiably proud of your work.
Really enjoyed the ride, thanks.
That was fun thanks for sharing 👍👍
Terrific!
Yes, that a big and better difference on the video quality from the old one. I definitely enjoyed this video and hope you do more of these as your progress goes on. Thanks and good work.
nice job!!! Awesome layout !!
Amazing! Such realism on a layout of only wood and wires, the occasional signal... no landscaping. This has such urban appeal as a model railroad can by only its functioning wiring and wood frame, like going below street level in a great American city.
Awesome layout. Nice to have a large basement you can dedicate for your trains.
That was extremely cool!
The multi-dimensionality to this layout is fantastic. I love that while it's still technically just a loop, there are multiple levels that a single train can run on during that one single loop. Awesome!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed.
Great Job Jason!
thank you for sharing
GREAT LAY OUT !!!

100% AWESOMENESS!

Very cool Jason, thanks for a great "GoPro" video. I love the layout from that perspective.

Just too good
WOW!
Nice layout Jason and nice selection of equipment! Nice job!
I am 75 years old on my 10th layout and this is a fantastic track plan BRAVO!!!
Thank you so much! I'm sure each of your 10 layouts you learned something and got better and better.
I just started hobby a year ago I thought my layout was big (21/10’) wow beautiful layout u have thanks for sharing
Although I quit O scale recently, I can't deny that the Atlas O equipment was the best detailed yet too overweight in my opinion. Congrats on the milestone!!!!
Great GoPro tour of the layout Jason. Looking forward to watching the progress on your new layout.
Thank so much Matt!
Awesome video !! Looks great!.
Very nice!
The ride was a feast for my eyes!
A very enjoyable video. I am already starting to picture landscaping and scenery! 😁

crazy! like it! the nice easy carpentry!
Very nice layout.👍👍😁
Fantastic boards and woodworking there.
The whole thing needs groundworks...Gravel, Trees, bushes ect....it will be really good as you go further with it.
Thanks for the great video.
Beautiful layout, very impressive.
Very cool Jason. This brought back memories of your first cab ride videos. It's always fun to get to this point!
